Background: This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of social capital on the student's mental health with the mediation of resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: The research is based on the objective criterion in the applied research group and the data collection method criterion in the survey research group. The statistical population includes the students of the state universities of Tehran and Islamic Azad University Science and Research Branch. The sample size was estimated to be 427 people using SPSS SamplePower software. The share of each university was determined by proportional stratified sampling, and then the samples from each stratum were selected by a simple random method. SPSS and AMOS software was used to analyze the data. Results: To investigate the hypotheses, we used the 1-sample t-test, the Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis, and the structural equation model. According to research, social capital has a significant effect on the resilience and mental health of students, considering that the indirect effect of social capital (through resilience) on mental health has also become significant; therefore resilience variable has a mediating role between social capital and mental health variables. The age variable has a positive and significant relationship with all three variables of social capital, resilience, and mental health, so the variables above increase with age. Conclusion: Considering the importance of social capital, society members can improve their resilience by developing communication networks and being aware of critical conditions to suffer the least psychological and social damage in this pandemic. Objective Despite the evidence that rehabilitation interventions are effective for spinal cord injury (SCI) patients, these interventions usually impose costs on the health system. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the cost-effectiveness of these interventions for the health system of countries through economic evaluation. In this study, we examined the cost-effectiveness and net financial benefits of rehabilitation services in treating spinal cord injuries in Iran. Materials & Methods Considering that this research is the first economic evaluation study related to spinal cord injury rehabilitation, the first stage of the economic evaluation was dedicated to designing an economic evaluation model. The model was designed based on disease groups, the natural course of the disease, the details of rehabilitation interventions for spinal cord injury patients in different disease groups, clinical outcomes, probability of occurrence of outcomes, and related costs. The structure of the economic evaluation model of this study is based on the design of a lifetime Markov model with a 1-year cycle length for each strategy and two groups of patients (paraplegia and tetraplegia). In this study, we also used the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) to determine the cost of the most effective strategy. All findings were analyzed using Excel 2016 and TreeAge 2011 software. Results According to the annual incidence of spinal cord injury patients in need of rehabilitation services in the country, which is about 2000 people, based on public sector tariffs, the total annual cost of SCI rehabilitation in Iran in the paraplegia group ranges from 32997 to 40200 million Iranian Rials (IRR) and in the tetraplegia group from 25476 to 26119 million IRR in mild to very severe conditions. Also, the total rehabilitation costs of SCI patients based on public sector tariffs in one year were calculated to equal 256847 million IRR. Similarly, based on private sector tariffs, the total annual costs of SCI rehabilitation in the paraplegia group were estimated from 86374 to 103122 million IRR and in the tetraplegia group from 67509 to 68997 million IRR in mild to very severe cases. Meanwhile, the total rehabilitation costs of SCI patients were calculated based on private sector tariffs in one year, equivalent to 668847 million IRR. Also, the average lifetime of SCI patients undergoing rehabilitation is lower compared to non-rehabilitation and also has higher QALY (The quality-adjusted life year) values, which indicates the dominance of the rehabilitation strategy. The amount of ICER, in this case, is estimated based on public sector tariffs equal to negative 674 million IRR and based on private sector tariffs equal to negative 629 million IRR per QALY unit. Possible sensitivity analysis of the results and Monte Carlo simulation in both scenarios confirmed the initial analysis findings with high probability. Based on the public sector tariff, the net amount of incremental financial benefits of rehabilitation for the total annual incidence is estimated at 8991 billion IRR. These amounts were calculated based on private sector tariffs of 8579 billion IRR. Conclusion Generally, the results of this economic evaluation showed that the rehabilitation of spinal cord injury patients in Iran, based on public and private sector tariffs, is quite cost-effective and has significant net positive financial benefits. Background: Women are at higher risk of death during disasters due to physical, biological, psychological, and cultural differences. After a disaster, they experience more miscarriages, premature births, inadequate fetal growth, low birth weight, sexual violence, and unwanted pregnancies. This study aims to investigate the reproductive health status of women affected by the 2017 earthquake in Kermanshah, Iran. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 2018. The study population consists of women aged 15-49 years (Mean age=31.7 years) living in Sarpol-e Zahab, Javanrood, and Thalas Babajani towns in Kermanshah city affected by the earthquake in 2017. The questionnaire used for assessing the status of reproductive health in women was the Reproductive Health Assessment Questionnaire for Women of Reproductive Age, which has already been localized in Iran and its reliability and validity have been confirmed. Native Kurdish language experts completed the questionnaires on behalf of 396 participants. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the variables. Results: It was found that 42.4% of women complained of abnormal menstruation and 34.09% of limited menstrual hygiene materials. Sixty women were pregnant at the time of the earthquake, all of whom gave birth in hospital; two had miscarriages, two had premature births, and one had stillbirth. Urinary tract infection was the most common problem (21%) in pregnant women. Moreover, 48% of women used contraceptive methods after the earthquake, the most commonly used method was the use of contraceptive pills (23%). Access to contraception methods was difficult for 14.4% of them after the earthquake. Furthermore, 25% had experienced violence after the earthquake; of these, 30 reported physical violence, 86 verbal violence, and 13 sexual violence. Conclusion: The control of pregnancy and safe delivery in earthquake-affected areas of Kermanshah is relatively acceptable; however, the provision of reproductive health services seems to be challenging. It is recommended to pay attention to the menstrual hygiene of women and regular distribution of contraceptives (despite the current population growth plan), address sexual acts of violence, and develop a protocol to support the victims. Marriage is highly respected and somehow sacred in eastern societies, including Iran. This qualitative research aimed to explore lived experience of remarried men and women who had experienced divorce in their relationships with their significant others. Seventeen remarried-after-divorce persons whose second marriage lasted over two years participated in the study, conducted using the content analysis method. Under the theme of inter-relationships, four categories were found, including "different spouses, different relations", "reconfiguration of relationships with families", "impacts on child-rearing", and "the importance of unimportant acquaintances". This study showed the complexity of the relationship network when another marriage happens after the first one collapsed. The other finding was that relations after divorce might not disappear completely, and relics of the first ruined shared life may strongly affect the new partnership. The influence of context-oriented issues, particularly in societies where religion and tradition are strong, was the other result. This study showed that remarriage after divorce has positive and negative consequences. Professionals, policymakers and researchers may apply the findings of the research by taking a strengths perspective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Individuals have numerous options to choose in life after divorce. A group of divorced individuals prefer to begin a new common life with another person. In the present study, it has been tried to investigate the internal developments of individuals in the transition period to remarriage after divorce. Method: This study is of qualitative studies type, and has been conducted by the qualitative content analysis method. The experiences of 17 people who had remarriage after divorce (8 women and 9 men) with the semi-structured interview technique were successfully received. All interviews were recorded with the recording device with the permission of the participants, and after the end of each interview, they were carefully transcribed and, with the help of the research team, the coding process was performed. Findings: The average age of the participants was 39.11 years (standard deviation: 8.34). At the end of the research, four categories were enumerated under the theme of intrapersonal developments, which included the expectation from family reorganization, the approach to encounter the new situation, the resilience mechanism, and emotional developments. Conclusion: It seems that remarriage is a process that begins in the last years of divorce and lasts for some time after entering into a new marriage. During this process, some developments occur within the individual that are sometimes stable and sometimes transient, but if they are encountered improperly, they may have long-lasting effects. Thus, education, counseling, and social support can manage the risky complications in the remarriage after divorce. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Life course research has shown that socioeconomic conditions in childhood have a profound impact on adult health. However, little is known about the different health effects of social mobility. This study was conducted to answer whether the intergenerational social mobility of women in Rasht is related to their quality of life index., Methods: This cross-sectional survey conducted in 2020-2021, in which the researcher created a social mobility questionnaire, was used to study the association between social mobility and the quality of life index of women aged 30-65 in Rasht. The current socioeconomic status of 784 married women in this city was compared to the previous socioeconomic status of their parents. Also, Ferrans and Power's quality of life index questionnaire was used. Data analysis was done using t-test and ANOVA., Results: The mean (SD) score for the overall quality of life index was 21.60 (4.23) of 30. The majority of participants had immobility (350 of them or 44.6%). There was no statistically significant correlation between women's intergenerational mobility and their quality-of-life index ( P = 0.734). Still, there was a statistically significant difference between the average score of the quality of life in the socioeconomic groups of the participants., Conclusion: Findings show that the women in Rasht did not have opportunities to promote their status or could not take advantage of these possibilities.
