The aim of this research was to The Relationship Between Positive And Negative Emotional States And Motivation Of High School Students Doing Sports. The sample of the research consists of 441 students in total, 290 Male and 151 Female, studying at high schools. With the personal information form to determine demographic characteristics, the Panas scale which was developed by Watson et al. (1988) and adapted into Turkish by Gençöz (2000) and which examines emotional states with positive and negative dimensions, and The Sports Motivation Scale which was developed by Pelletier et al. (1995) and adapted into Turkish by Kazak (2004), were used. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS 23.0 statistical package program. In the evaluation of the data, t-test for independent samples and One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests for differences between groups and the “Tukey Post Hoc” test and Pearson Correlation test were used. As a result of the research; sports-specific success and motivation levels of students who are constantly engaged in sports; significance levels were examined according to gender, age, education, income level, place of residence, duration of doing sports, doing sports with license, frequency of doing sports, and being interested in different branches, and it was seen that there was no statistically significant difference. more...

Motivational videos (MVs) are used in Japan in many competitive sports, both professional and amateur. However, several researchers have stated that the effectiveness of MVs has not been scientifically verified, and only subjective evaluations have been conducted in previous studies (Yamazaki & Sugiyama, 2009). This study examined the psychological effectiveness of MVs using both subjective and biological evaluations. The subjects were six elite Japanese collegiate swimmers participating in the FINA Swimming World Cup (age: 21.33 ± 0.51, four males and two females). We employed subjective and biological evaluations to examine these elite swimmers’ psychological motivation while watching an MV as part of their practice. We adopted subjective and self-report Psychological Condition Inventory (Yamazaki et al., 2008) to measure the athletes’ level of vigor while watching the MV. An electroencephalogram (EEG) was employed to evaluate the emotions of the swimmers. The emotional condition (vigor) was analysed by combining the extracted raw EEG data using a KANSEI module logger (Littlesoftware, 2018). A subjective evaluation showed that the score for vigor significantly improved after watching the MV (t = 2.33, p < 0.05), which was also indicated by the results of the biological evaluation (t = 5.69, p < 0.01). There was also a significant correlation between subjective and biological vigor after watching the MV (r = 0.77, p < 0.01). Diplomski rad govori o uvođenju elemenata gamifikacije u organiziranje i praćenje sportskih događaja na primjeru tenisa. Početni dio rada definira teoretsku podlogu vezanu uz koncept gamifikacije kroz primjere iz okruženja. Nastavak rada orijentiran je na rekreativni sport i probleme koje nailazimo u istome. Također, govori se o motivaciji u sportu i unaprjeđenju bavljenja sportom na temelju psihologije. Glavni dio rada započinje istraživanjem tržišta o unaprjeđenju bavljenja rekreativnim sportom. Nakon toga obrađene su aplikacije koje demonstriraju primjenu gamifikacije u ovom problemu. Prva je mobilna aplikacija koja se koristi za organizaciju teniskih mečeva i upisivanje rezultata. Druga je web aplikacija koja je usmjerena na prikaz prikupljenih podataka i usporedbu istih s prijateljima. Cilj rada je ustvrditi hoće li gamifikacija pozitivno utjecati na motivaciju ljudi za bavljenjem rekreativnim sportom. Za bolji uvid u navedeno, kreirane su aplikacije koje demonstriraju takvo rješenje problema. This thesis talks about introducing gamification elements into organization and follow up sport events on the example of tennis. The first part defines theoretical background of the gamification concept through the real life examples. It proceeds with the part oriented on the recreational sport and problems that can be found there. Also, it talks about motivation in sports and improving sport activities based on psychology. The main part starts with market research on improving sport activities in the recreational sport. After that, applications that demonstrate usage of gamification on this problem are processed. First is mobile application used for organizing tennis matches and writing results. Second is web application focused on representation of the collected data and comparing it with friends. The aim is to determine if gamification is going to influence positively on people motivation for recreational sport activities. Introdução: Procuramos analisar a associação entre a frequência/adesão ao exercício físico (FAEF) em contexto de ginásios e health clubs (GHC) e os constructos previstos pela Teoria da Auto Determinação (TAD) em indivíduos que treinam com Treinador Pessoal (TP)e indivíduos que não treinam com TP. Método: Efetuámos uma revisão sistemática da literatura (RSL), seguida de um estudo observacional onde aplicámos questionários psicométricos para avaliar o clima da sessão de treino, resposta psicológica global, regulação motivacional, satisfação das necessidades psicológicas (NPB), escolha percebida sobre o desempenho em exercício. Foi controlada a FAEF durante 3 meses. A amostra consistiu em 88 clientes (Midade = 41.35, SD = 12.22, MIMC = 25.10, SD = 14.52) Resultados: Na RSL encontrámos 10 estudos, nenhum em contexto de TP. No nosso estudo não se registaram diferenças na FAEF, nem nas regulações motivacionais entre os grupos. No grupo com TP a competência associou-se à FAEF (p=.017) e a autonomia associou-se a menores níveis de mau estar psicológico e de fadiga (p=.032). O Clima de Tratamento do Programa não influenciou nenhum dos outcomes estudados. No grupo sem TP, quanto mais Autonomia (p=.038) e Motivação Intrínseca (p=.001) maior a FAEF. Regulações mais autodeterminadas estão associados a maiores valores de FAEF (p=.009). A motivação intrínseca associou-se positivamente (p=.014) com a FAEF em toda a amostra. Discussão: O suporte das NBP origina uma motivação mais auto regulada o que se reflete numa maior FAEF e bem estar psicológico. No grupo com TP a competência teve um maior contributo para a FAEF, no grupo sem TP a autonomia registou o valor mais elevado. Não se observaram diferenças entre os grupos na regulação motivacional e na FAEF. O suporte de autonomia dado pelo TP não apresentou resultados significativos na FAEF, o que contraria o esperado pela TAD. Estes dados são, por si só reveladores da importância de se aprofundar conhecimentos que auxiliem os TP’s a a motivarem com mais qualidade os seus alunos., Introduction: We analyzed the association between the frequency / adherence to exercise (FAE) in the context of gyms and health clubs (GHC) and the constructs provided by the Self Determination Theory (SDT) in individuals who train with Personal Trainer (PT) and individuals who do not train with PT. Methods: We have performed a systematic literature review (SLR), followed by an observational study where we applied psychometric questionnaires to evaluate the climate of the training session, global psychological response, motivational regulation, satisfaction of psychological basic needs (PBN), perceived choice on performance in exercise. FAE was controlled for 3 months. The sample consisted of 88 clients (Mage = 41.35, SD = 12.22, MIMC = 25.10, SD = 14:52) Results: At SLR we found 10 studies, none in the context of PT. In our study there were no differences in FAE nor the motivational regulations between groups. In the group with PT, competence was associated with FAE (p = .017) and autonomy was associated with lower levels of psychological malaise and fatigue (p = .032). Climate Care Program did not influence any of the outcomes studied. In the group without PT, the more autonomy (p = .038) and Intrinsic Motivation (p = .001) greater the FAE. More self-determined regulations were associated with higher values of FAE (p = .009). Intrinsic motivation was positively associated (p = .014) with FAEF throughout the sample. Discussion: The support of the PBN leads to a more self-regulated motivation as reflected in higher FAE and psychological wellbeing. In the group with PT competence had a greater contribution to FAE, the group without PT autonomy recorded the highest value. There were no differences between groups in regulating motivational and FAE. The support of autonomy given by PT showed no significant results FAE, which contradicts the expected by TAD. RESUMO: O envolvimento parental no desporto é determinante no processo de formação desportiva dos jovens desportistas. Pelo facto de existirem poucos instrumentos de avaliação neste assunto, a adaptação e validação do Parental Involvement Sport Questionnaire (PISQ) para o idioma Português, tornou-se fundamental para colmatar esta lacuna. Assim, o presente estudo pretende alcançar dois objectivos principais: a) traduzir e adaptar o PISQ ao idioma Português do Brasil e, deste modo, iniciar o processo de validação do referido instrumento; b) analisar a relação entre a percepção dos jovens sobre o envolvimento parental na sua prática de natação e a motivação destes jovens nadadores. Um total de 114 nadadores participaram deste estudo, com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e 20 anos [ M = 14.67; DP = 8.29], para aferir utilizamos a versão Portuguesa do PISQ e do Sport Motivation Scale (SMS). Como principais resultados, a versão portuguesa do PISQ apresentou um Alpha de Cronbach deos comportamentos directivos dos pais mostraram reduzir a motivação intrínsica – saber, a motivação intrínsica pela prática e a motivação extrínsica – introjectada, e aumentar a amotivação dos jovens desportistas. ABSTRACT: The parental involvement in sport is crucial in the process of sports training of young athletes and, because there are few instruments for assessing this issue, the adaptation and validation of the Parental Involvement Sport Questionnaire (PISQ) for the Portuguese language, it became essential to bridge this gap.
