The unique properties of calcium oxide (CaO) and zinc oxide (ZnO) at the nanoscale have attracted the interest of scientists as promising electrically conductive substances for sensing purposes. The content of terbinafine hydrochloride (TRF) in pharmaceutical tablets was determined using a novel coated, wire‐functionalized CaO/ZnO nanocomposite membrane sensor biogenically produced from Lavandula spica extract. Sodium tetraphenylborate was used to prepare the active material (TRF‐TBP). The newly modified sensor gave excellent potentiometric sensitivity with the least squares regression equation EmV=(−58.88X±0.3)+log [TRF]+549.78 and covered a wide linear range (5.0×10−9–1.0×10−2 mol/L) of TRF samples. In contrast, the standard TRF‐TBP sensor wasn't as sensitive when (2.5×10−6–1.0×10−2 mol/L). TRF solutions with regression equation of (−55.728X±0.7)+log [TRF]+396.64. The appropriate pH range was 3–6. The principles of analytical methodology were applied to investigate the validity and suitability of the proposed technique. This study is based on green synthesized nanomaterials that increase fluorescence intensity in the study of the anticancer drug palbociclib. The basis for the nanomaterials was the use of alumina/nickel oxide nanocomposite (alumina/NiO NCS) biogenically produced from millet seed extract. The proposed materials improved the spectrofluorimetric method for the study of the breast cancer drug palbociclib (PAL) in its real powder and capsules. The amplification properties of the developed spectrofluorimetric system depend on the unique optical properties of the alumina/NiO NCS. Fluorescence detection was determined at λex 260 and at λem 430 nm. The effect of surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate, SDS) was investigated, and the results obtained with the PAL alumina/NiO/SDS showed linearity of 1.0–800 n ${n}$ g/mL for PAL samples with a correlation coefficient of r>0.999. The aforementioned fluorescence approach showed lower detection and quantification of 0.03 and 1.0 n ${n}$ g/mL, respectively. The proposed system was potentially efficient for the determination of PAL with an excellent percent recovery of 99.50±0.5 %. The effect of some co‐formulated interfering substances such as crystalline cellulose, starch, silicon dioxide magnesium stearate, lactose and gelatine that present in the capsules was investigated and no remarkable difference was found during the assay process of PAL. Polymorphism is a prevalent occurrence in pharmaceutical solids and demands thorough investigation during product development. This paper delves into the crystal growth and structure of a newly synthesized polymorph (TPT)2[CoII(NCS)4], (1), where TPT is triphenyl tetrazolium. The study combines experimental and theoretical approaches to elucidate the 3D framework of the crystal structure, characterized by hydrogen-bonded interactions between (TPT)+ cations and [Co(NCS)4]2− anions. Hirshfeld surface analysis, along with associated two-dimensional fingerprints, is employed to comprehensively investigate and quantify intermolecular interactions within the structure. The enrichment ratio is calculated for non-covalent contacts, providing insight into their propensity to influence crystal packing interactions. Void analysis is conducted to predict the mechanical behavior of the compound. Utilizing Bravais-Friedel, Donnay-Harker (BFDH), and growth morphology (GM) techniques, the external morphology of (TPT)2[CoII(NCS)4] is predicted. Experimental observations align well with BFDH predictions, with slight deviations from the GM model. Quantum computational calculations of the synthesized compounds is performed in the ground state using the DFT/UB3LYP level of theory. These calculations assess the molecule's stability and chemical reactivity, including the computation of the HOMO-LUMO energy difference and other chemical descriptors. The study provides a comprehensive exploration of the newly synthesized polymorph, shedding light on its crystal structure, intermolecular interactions, mechanical behavior, and external morphology, supported by both experimental and computational analyses. A cyclobenzaprine-tetraphenylborate (CBP-TPB) complex was synthesized, achieving a 78% yield through an anion exchange reaction. The white crystals of the complex were formed in acetonitrile and characterized using a variety of spectroscopic and analytical techniques, including ultraviolet, infrared, mass, elemental, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, as well as X-ray crystallography. The study employed a comprehensive approach to investigate the structural properties, stability, and behavior of the CBP-TPB complex. The use of crystallographic analysis, Hirshfeld surface analysis, quantum theory of atoms in molecules, noncovalent interaction reduced density gradient, global reactivity descriptors, frontier molecular orbitals, molecular electrostatic potential, and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy provided valuable insights into the complex's molecular geometries, supramolecular features, and intermolecular interactions. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the CBP-TPB complex's potential applications in fields such as pharmaceuticals and materials science and emphasize the importance of combining theoretical predictions and experimental measurements in understanding molecular properties. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and second-order derivative spectrophotometry have been used for simultaneous determination of pravastatin (PS) and fenofibrate (FF) in pharmaceutical formulations. HPLC separation was performed on a phenyl HYPERSIL C18 column (125 mm × 4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm particle diameter) in the isocratic mode using a mobile phase acetonitrile/0.1 % diethyl amine (50:50, V/V, pH 4.5) pumped at a flow rate of 1.0 mL min-1. Measurement was made at 240 nm. Both drugs were well resolved on the stationary phase, with retention times of 2.15 and 5.79 min for PS and FF, respectively. Calibration curves were linear (R = 0.999 for PS and 0.996 for FF) in the concentration range of 5-50 and 20-200 µg mL-1 for PS and FF, respectively. Pravastatin and fenofibrate were quantitated in combined preparations also using the second-order derivative response at 237.6 and 295.1 nm for PS and FF, respectively. Calibration curves were linear, with the correlation coefficient R = 0.999 for pravastatin and fenofibrate, in the concentration range of 5-20 and 3-20 µg mL-1 for PS and FF, respectively. Both methods were fully validated and compared, the results confirmed that they were highly suitable for their intended purpose.

Background: The remarkable properties of nickel oxide (NiO) and cerium oxide (CeO2) nanostructures have attracted considerable interest in these nanocomposites as potential electroactive materials for sensor construction. Methods: The mebeverine hydrochloride (MBHCl) content of commercial formulations was determined in this study using a unique factionalized CeO2/NiO-nanocomposite-coated membrane sensor. Results: Mebeverine-phosphotungstate (MB-PT) was prepared by adding phosphotungstic acid to mebeverine hydrochloride and mixing with a polymeric matrix (polyvinyl chloride, PVC) and plasticizing agent o-nitrophenyl octyl ether. The new suggested sensor showed an excellent linear detection range of the selected analyte at 1.0 × 10−8–1.0 × 10−2 mol L−1 with regression equation EmV = (−29.429 ± 0.2) log [MB] + 347.86. However, the unfunctionalized sensor MB–PT displayed less linearity at 1.0 × 10−5–1.0 × 10−2 mol L−1 drug solution with regression equation EmV = (−26.603 ± 0.5) log [MB] + 256.81. By considering a number of factors, the applicability and validity of the suggested potentiometric system were improved following the rules of analytical methodological requirements.
