Abstract

The article presents updates on the awareness programmes on silk in India. An awareness cum audio-visual programme was organized by Research Extension Centre in Nabagram, Murshidabad at Bankipur, Nabagram in Murshidabad district for the sericulturists on June 14, 2011. An awareness programme was launched by Research Extension Centre Sub-unit with special reference to quality mulberry leaf production on June 21. Central Silk Board is propagating bivoltine silk production in Karnataka.
