5. Use of Waste Phonolite as Filler Material in Flexible Asphalt Pavements.

In the scope of the study, the use of waste phonolite (PW) obtained from phonolite wastewater formed during the processing of phonolite stone blocks as filler in hot-mix asphalt (HMA) was investigated. For this purpose, samples were produced with 4 %, 5 %, and 6 % PW mineral filler and 5 % limestone (LS) mineral filler. Phonolite supplied as waste was sieved through a sieve no 200 and made ready for use as a filler. HMA specimens were prepared with PW and LS at the rates of 3.5 %, 4 %, 4.5 %, 5 %, 5.5 %, and 6 % bitumen. For each filler ratio, a bituminous hot mix design was made by the Marshall method and optimum bitumen ratios (OBR) were determined. Bituminous hot mixture specimens were prepared based on OBR. Retained Marshall stability (RMS) test, indirect tensile strength (ITS), and moisture damage resistance tests and Marshall stability (MS) test after the freeze-thaw (F-T) cycle was applied to the prepared Marshall samples. The results obtained were evaluated according to the Turkish Highway Technical Specification (HTS). In this study, the mechanical behavior and resistance to moisture damage of hot mix asphalt (HMA) concrete with the addition of Milled Carbon Fiber (MCF) were experimentally investigated. For this purpose, the gradation curve within the boundaries of the Turkish highway construction specifications (HTS) has been determined. By keeping the determined gradation constant, MCF was added at different rates (1 %, 1.5 %, 2 %, 2.5 %, 3 %) by weight of the mixture. In the study, first, optimum bitumen ratios (OBR) of pure control samples (0 %-Control) without MCF and mixtures with MCF additives were determined by using the Marshall design method. To determine the OBR, samples were prepared with bitumen content of 3.5 %, 4 %, 4.5 %, 5 %, 5.5 %, and 6 % at each carbon additive ratio. The mixture samples prepared using the specified OBRs were subjected to Marshall stability (MS) and flow, as well as to retained Marshall stability (RMS), indirect tensile strength (ITS), and moisture damage resistance tests. According to the test results, it was observed that the MS values of the asphalt concrete with MCF additives increased at certain carbon additive ratios, while the flow values decreased compared to the witness sample. It was determined that the RMS and indirect tensile strength ratio (TSR) values of hot mixes with MCF-added bitumen increased and the moisture damage resistance of the mixes increased. As a result, when the optimum MCF ratio determined for the wearing course is used, it is thought that the engineering properties of HMA will improve. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, traffic accidents have increased with the traffic density due to the increase in the use of private vehicles in our country. Considering the fact that traffic accidents cause great losses on people not only financially but also socially and psychologically, it becomes clearer how big the problem is.In this study, it is aimed to examine the regional and temporal changes of the traffic accidents and the traffic accidents that continue to be a major problem for Düzce. In the research, daily, monthly and so on. Although the data were evaluated, annual data were used to ensure the integrity of the study and it was limited to the central district of Düzce. The research was carried out by evaluating 2268 traffic accident records in the central district of Düzce between 2014-2018. The regions where the traffic accidents are intense in Düzce were determined and the day and month distributions of the traffic accidents were examined. In addition, the number of wounded and dead were examined and the locations where the accidents were intense were revealed., Son yıllarda, ülkemizde özel araç kullanımının artmasına bağlı olarak oluşan trafik yoğunluğu ile birlikte trafik kazaları da artmıştır. Trafik kazalarının sadece maddi açıdan değil aynı zamanda sosyal ve psikolojik açıdan da insanlar üzerinde büyük kayıplara yol açtığı gerçeğinden yola çıkıldığında sorunun ne derece büyük olduğu daha net anlaşılmaktadır.Bu çalışmanın amacı, Düzce ili için gün geçtikçe önemli sorun olmaya devam eden trafik ve dolayısı ile meydana gelen trafik kazalarının bölgesel ve zamansal değişimlerini incelemektir. Araştırmada, trafik kazalarına yönelik olarak günlük, aylık vb. veriler değerlendirilmekle birlikte, çalışma bütünlüğünün sağlanabilmesi için yıllık veriler kullanılmış ve Düzce ili Merkez ilçesi ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma 2014-2018 yılları arasında Düzce Merkez ilçede meydana gelen 2268 adet trafik kazası kaydı değerlendirilerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Düzce ilindeki trafik kazalarının yoğun olduğu bölgeler tespit edilmiş, trafik kaza sayılarının gün ve aylara göre dağılımları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca yaralı ve ölü sayıları irdelenmiş ve kazaların yoğun olduğu konumlar ortaya konmuştur.

In the study, the usability of diatomite as filler in asphalt concrete pavements was investigated. For this purpose, Marshall briquettes were prepared with bitumen content of 3.0-3.5-4.0-4.5-5.0% by using limestone aggregate and crushed stone dust filler. These samples were prepared using the Marshall stability and flow test precedure, and the following results were discovered: stability value, flow value, bulk specific gravity (Dp), percentage of voids (Vf), percent voids filled with asphalt (vfa) and voids in mineral aggregate (VMA). The optimum bitumen content was determined as 4.68% after the relevant graphs were created based on the results of the limestone sample. Based on the optimum amount of bitumen determined and using the same gradation, limestone fillers and diatomite fillers were replaced at the rates of 0, 25, 50, 75, 100%, and diatomite-modified asphalt concrete samples were produced. After the stability, flow, Dp, Vh, Vfa, VMA values of the diatomite filler briquettes were determined, the test results were evaluated. As a result of the research, it was determined that the samples containing 25% diatomite fillers had high stability and acceptable flow values. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, the usability of the waste olivine material obtained as a result of enrichment of chromite ore in Eti Krom plants as fillers in flexible superstructures was investigated. In the first stage, the rate of fixed fillers in the gradation obtained by using traditional crushed stone powder was taken as 4.7% and the optimum bitumen percentage was obtained by taking the bitumen rate as 3.5%, 4.0%, 4.5%, 5.0%, 5.5%. In the second stage, stability, flow, practical specific gravity, percentage of voids, percentage of asphalt filled voids and aggregates to the deposits created by replacing olivine in the ratio of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% to the traditional crushed stone powder with the optimum percentage of bitumen found in the first stage. Percentage of gap was tested. According to the results, the changes in the engineering properties of asphalt concrete were compared according to the olivine percentages substituted with traditional crushed stone filler material., Bu çalışmada ferrokrom tesislerinde kromit cevherinin zenginleştirilmesi sürecinde ortaya çıkan atık olivin malzemesinin esnek üstyapılarda filler olarak kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. İlk aşamada geleneksel kırmataş kalker agregası tozu kullanılarak elde edilen gradasyonda sabit filler oranı %4.7 olarak alınmış ve bitüm oranı %3,5, %4,0, %4,5, %5,0, %5,5 alınarak optimum bitüm yüzdesi elde edilmiştir. İkinci aşamada, ilk aşamada bulunan optimum bitüm yüzdesi ile geleneksel kırmataş kalker agregası tozuna %0, %25, %50, %75 ve %100 oranlarında olivin ikame edilerek oluşturulan numunelere; stabilite, akma, pratik özgül ağırlık, boşluk yüzdesi, asfalt dolu boşluk yüzdesi ve agregalar arası boşluk yüzdesi deneyi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre geleneksel kırmataş kalker agregası filler malzemesiyle ikame edilen olivin yüzdelerine göre asfalt betonunun mühendislik özelliklerinin değişimi karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak olivinin sıcak karışım asfalt betonlarda filler malzeme olarak kullanılabileceği görülmüştür.

In order to use the natural resources in our country efficiently, effectively and for a longer time, it is becoming more important to research and find alternative materials. As in every field, the use of waste materials in bituminous hot mixes is increasing day by day. In this study, the usability of waste serpentine dust wastes as fillers in HMA was investigated. In the study, the usability of serpentine as filler in asphalt concrete pavements was investigated. For this purpose, Marshall briquettes were prepared with bitumen ratios of 3.5-4.0-4.5-5.0-5.5-6.0% by using limestone aggregate and crushed stone dust filler. By applying Marshall stability and flow test procedure to these prepared samples, stability, flow value, bulk specific gravity (Dp), void volume values (Vh), Void filled with asphalt (Vfa), voids in mineral aggregate (VMA) values were found. Optimum amount of bitumen was determined by drawing related graphs from the limestone sample results. Based on the optimum amount of bitumen determined and using the same gradation, limestone filler and serpentine filler material were replaced at the rate of 0-25-50-75-100%, and serpentine-substituted asphalt concrete samples were produced. The stability, yield, Dp, Vh, Vfa, VMA values of the serpentine filler substituted briquettes were determined and the test results were evaluated. As a result of the study, the highest stability value was obtained from the samples with %50 serpentine content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Kent Bilgi Sistemi (KBS), bilgisayar teknolojisinin yardımıyla, kentin sosyo-kültürel gelişiminin izlenerek gerekli fiziksel planlama çalışmalarının yönlendirilmesine, kentin alt ve üst yapı tesislerinin bakım-onarım ve yenilenmesine, imar-kadastro-insan-toprak ilişkilerinin kurulmasına, ulaşım-nüfus-suç vb analizlerin yapılmasına çağdaş bir anlayışla yardımcı olmaktadır. Tüm bu faaliyetler yerel yönetimlerin bilhassa da belediyelerin temel işlevleri arasındadır [1]. Konuyla ilgili olarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, KBS’nin iyi anlaşılabilmesi için gerekli temel tanım ve kavramlar ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiş, KBS’nin genel tanımı içerisinde; KBS’nin amaçları, görevleri, yararları ve sahip olması gereken temel özellikleri açıklanmıştır. KBS’nin uygulama alanları incelenerek, gerçekleştirilen bazı örnekler irdelenmiştir; KBS’nin belediye hizmetlerinde kullanımı ve uygulama alanları incelenerek, karşılaşılan sorunlar ortaya konulmuştur. The main objective of this experimental research was to investigate the effect of slate waste powder (SWP) as filler material in hot mix asphalt concrete. In the study, the use of slate collected during the shaping process of slate blocks in bituminous hot mixtures as mineral filler was investigated. For this purpose, four different serial asphalt concrete samples were produced using limestone (LS) in different proportions (4%, 5%, 6%, and 7%) as mineral filler. In this context, specimens were produced and tested under Marshall Stability (MS) Test, and the optimum bitumen content (OBC) value for the aggregate samples to be used was determined. Choosing the series of asphalt having 5% filler which has given the highest stability SWP was changed with LS filler in the rate of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. After that MS and Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS) tests, comparatively was conducted on the produced samples and the results were evaluated. As a result, it has come in view that SWP can be used as mineral filler in bituminous mixtures.

To predict, it is required to find the mathematical relation between the input and output data by an accurate and simple method. In recent years, artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been used to model the properties and behaviour of materials, and to find complex relations between different properties in many fields of civil engineering applications, because of their ability to learn and to adapt. In the present study, laboratory data are obtained from an experimental study that was used to develop an ANN model. For predicting the Marshall Stability value of mixture using ANN models, an appropriate selection of input parameters (neurons) is essential. There are four nodes in the input layer corresponding to four variables: Polyparaphenylene Terephtalamide fibre (PTF) rate, binder rate, flow, volume of the specimen. The result indicates that the proposed model can be applied in predicting Marshall Stability of asphalt mixtures. The model is further applied to evaluate the effect of different rates of Polyparaphenylene Terephtalamide on Marshall Stability. Bu çalışmada performans modelleri geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen modeller için Visual Basic programlama dili kullanılarak bir yazılım oluşturulmuştur. Bu yazılım ile hem mevcut durum hem de beklenen trafik yükü altında oluşacak durum tahmin edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla bu yazılım hem ağ düzeyi hem de proje düzeyinde kullanılabilmektedir. Literatürden alınan maliyet ve fayda verileri fayda/maliyet oranı için kullanılmıştır. Genetik algoritma yaklaşımı kullanılarak Visual Basic programlama dilinde program yazılmıştır. Geliştirilen model kullanılarak beş yıllık bakım-rehabilitasyon planı oluşturulmuştur. Modellerin etkinliğini göstermek için ve modelleri bir Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi (CBS) veri tabanına entegre etmek amacıyla geliştirilen modeller CBS yazılımında birleştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla CBS yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen yazılım verilerin veri bankasından çekilmesine, analiz edilmesine ve CBS üzerinden farklı senaryoların simülasyonuna olanak sağlamaktadır., In this study, performance models were developed. Software in Visual Basic programming language was used for the developed model. Using the software, both the present condition of the pavement can be examined and future performance based on expected traffic values can be predicted. So, the software can be used at both network and project level. Cost and benefit values taken from the literature were used in determining the cost-benefit ratio. Using the genetic algorithm approach, a computer program in Visual Basic programming language was written. Using the model developed, a five-year maintenance and rehabilitation program can be planned for a given database considering budget restraints. The developed models were merged by writing Geographic Information System (GIS) software in order to show the effectiveness of models and adopt the models into a GIS. For this purpose, a case study of GIS was exposed. The control of the overall system can be applied in addition to the application of the model at network level. The developed software allows data to be transferred to the database, analyses and different scenario applications for showing GIS results.

In this study usability of waste colemanite which is obtained after cutting block colemanite for giving proper shape to blocks as an aggregate in hot mix asphalt. For this aim asphalt concrete samples were prepared with four different aggregate groups and optimum bitumen content was determined. First of all only limestone was used as an aggregate. After that, only colemanite aggregate was used with same aggregate gradation. Then, the next step of the study, Marshall samples were produced by changing coarse and fine aggregate gradation as limestone and colemanite and Marshall test were conducted. When evaluated the results samples which produced with only limestone aggregate gave the maximum Marshall Stability value. When handled other mixture groups (Only colemanite, colemanite as coarse aggregate-limestone as fine aggregate, colemanite as fine aggregate-limestone as coarse aggregate) all groups were verified specification limits. As a result, especially in areas where there is widespread colemanite waste, if transportation costs did not exceed the cost of limestone, colemanite stone waste could be used instead of limestone in asphalt concrete mixtures as fine aggregate, Bu çalışmada, blok halindeki kolemanit malzemenin işlenmesi aşamasında ortaya çıkan atık kolemanitin sıcak karışım asphalt betonda agrega olarak kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla dört farklı agrega gurubu kullanılarak asphalt beton numuneler hazırlanmış ve optimum bitüm miktarı belirlenmiştir. Öncelikle sadece kireçtaşı agregası daha sonra ise sadece kolemanit agregası aynı agrega gradasyonu içerisinde kullanılmıştır.Çalışmanın bir sonraki aşamasında ise kaba ve ince agrega gradasyonu kireçtaşı ve kolemanit agrega yer değiştirilerek marshall numuneleri hazırlanmış ve marshall stabilite testine tabi tutulmuştur. Deney sonuçları incelendiğinde kireçtaşı agregası ile hazırlanan numunelerin en yüksek Marshall stabilitesini verdiği, bunun yanında colemanite agregası kullanılarak hazırlanan diğer numunelerin de (sadece kolemanit, kolemanit kabakireçtaşı ince, kolemanit ince kireçtaşı kaba) şartname limitlerini sağladığıgörülmüştür. Sonuç olarak kolemanit atıklarının yaygın olduğu bölgelerde taşıma maliyetlerinin kireçtaşına göre daha uygun olması durumunda kolemanit atıklarının asphalt beton karışımlarda kireçtaşı agregası yerine kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

31. Prediction of the Pavement Serviceability Ratio of Rigid Highway Pavements by Artificial Neural Networks

The term ‘‘present serviceability’’ was adopted to represent the momentary ability of pavement to serve traffic, and the performance of the pavement was represented by its serviceability history in conjunction with its load application history. Serviceability was found to be influenced by longitudinal and transverse profile as well as the extent of cracking and patching. The amount of weight to assign to each element in the determination of the over-all serviceability is a matter of subjective opinion. In this study, the present serviceability index of rigid highway pavements has been predicted by an artificial neural network (ANN) model. For this model, the 49 experimental data obtained from AASHTO include slope variance, faulting, cracking, spalling and patching. The developed ANN model has a higher regression value than the AASHO model. This approach can be easily and realistically performed to solve the problems which do not have a formulation or function for the solution.

Bu çalışmada Burdur gölü su seviyesi değişimlerinin tahmin edilmesi amacıyla bulanık mantık yöntemiyle bir model geliştirilmiştir. Ayrıca bağımsız değişkenler olarak yağış ve buharlaşma, bağımlı değişken olarak ise Burdur gölü su seviyesindeki değişimlerin kullanıldığı çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi ile model denklemi oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada, Burdur Gölü ve çevresinde yer alan gözlem istasyonlarının 1975–2004 yıllarına ait yıllık ortalama veriler kullanılmıştır.. Geliştirilen bulanık mantık model ile oluşturulan regresyon denkleminin tahmin ettiği değerler gözlem istasyonları verileri ile karşılaştırılarak modellerin güvenilirliği test edilmiştir. Buna göre Bulanık Mantık yöntemiyle ölçüm verileri arasında R2= 0.89 gibi yüksek bir ilişki olmasına rağmen çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi sonuçları ile ölçüm verileri arasında ise R2= 0.70 gibi nispeten daha düşük bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir

Ülkemizde halen yapılmakta olan bölünmüş yolların inşaatında sathi kaplama kullanılmaya devam etmektedir. Bununla beraber, Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğü (KGM) bir yandan da bölünmüş yollardaki sathi kaplamaları bitümlü sıcak karışıma (BSK) dönüştürmeye de başlamıştır. Bu durum ülkemizde BSK konusunda yapılacak imalatları ve akademik araştırmaları da artıracaktır. Asfalt betonu karışımlar agrega ve bitüm ile imal edilirler. Agrega olarak genellikle kireçtaşı ve son yıllarda bazalt kullanılmaktadır. Bitüm olarak ise, TÜPRAŞ ve diğer rafinerilerden elde edilen çeşitli penetrasyon ve viskozitelerde bitüm kullanılmaktadır. BSK dayanımını artırma çalışmalarında sadece agrega türü ve bitüm özellikleri dikkate alınmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, yol agregalarında nano teknoloji kullanımı anlatılmıştır. Nano teknoloji ile birlikte plazma kaplama yöntemlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Sonuç olarak nano teknolojinin üstyapı malzemeleri alanında kullanılabilirliği ortaya çıkarılmıştır., Surface coating continues to be used for construction of divided roads still applied in our country. However, The General Directorate of Highways (KGM) have also started to transform the surface coating of divided roads to hot mix asphalt (HMA). This will increase the academic researches and the HMA manufactures. HMA produced with aggregate and bitumen. Generally, limestone was used as aggregate and basalt has been used in recent years. Bitumen in various penetration and viscosity obtained from TUPRAS and other refineries was used. Only the aggregate type and bitumen characteristics were considered in work to increase the strength of HMA. Using nanotechnology in the field of pavement materials has been described in this study. Also plasma coating technics have been mentioned. As a result the use of nanotechnology in the field of pavement materials as well as other sites has been exposed.

Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelere özgü karayolu açısından iki önemli sorun mevcuttur. Öncelikle sürekli artan bir taşıt sayısı ve buna bağlı olarak artmakta olan bir karayolu inşaatı ile yüzyüzedirler. İkinci sorun ise, bu artan karayolu ihtiyacına cevap verebilecek bütçenin mevcudiyetidir. Karayolu inşaatı belirli bir seviyeye ulaştığında ise, bu sefer artan bakım ve onarım ihtiyacına cevap vermek bir sorun haline gelmektedir. Sınırlı bir bütçe içerisinde, karayolu üstyapısını belirli bir performans seviyesinde tutmak ve bunun için yapılması gereken bakım ve onarım çalışmalarının türünü ve zamanlamasını belirlemek üstyapı yönetim sisteminin oluşturulmasını zorunlu kılmaktadır.Bu tez çalışmasında, ülkemiz karayolları için bir Üstyapı Yönetim Sistemi (ÜYS) geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen bu sistemin, ülkemiz karayollarına özgü, esnek, güncel ve fonksiyonel olması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğü (KGM) tarafından yapılan performans ölçümleri ile tahribatlı ve tahribatsız testlerle yapılan ölçümler kullanılarak performans tahmin modelleri geliştirilmiştir. Oluşturulan üstyapı performans tahmin modelleri ÜYS'ye adapte edilmiş ve bu modellerin çalışabilirliğini göstermek için ArcGIS MapObject bileşeni, Microsoft Visual Basic ve Microsoft Visual Studio programları kullanılarak gerçek zamanlı bir Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi yazılımı oluşturulmuştur. Bu yazılım, ÜYS için gerekli olan, verilerin sisteme aktarılmasına, çözümlenmesine ve sonuçların gösterimi için çeşitli senaryoların uygulanmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Sistemin çalışabilirliğini göstermek amacıyla önceden toplanmış veriler kullanılarak örnek uygulamalar yapılmıştır. There are two important problems in terms of highway peculiar to developing countries like Turkey. The countries are faced with primarily an ever increasing number of vehicles and accordingly the highway construction. The second problem is availability of budget which can be met the increasing highway?s needs. When the highway reach a certain level, this time meeting the increasing maintenance and repair needs become a problem. Within the limited budget, keeping the highway pavements at a certain performance level and determining the type and timing of maintenance and repair workings which required to do keeping the highway pavements at a certain level require that the creating pavement management system.In this thesis, a pavement management system is developed for highways of our country. Developed system is intended to be peculiar to highways of our country, flexible, up to date and functional. For this reason, performance prediction models are developed using performance measurements and measurements which made with destructive and non-destructive tests made by the General Directorate of Highways. Developed pavement performance prediction models are adapted to Pavement Management System (PMS) and to verify the models can be run, a real-time Geographic Information System software is developed using the ArcGIS MapObject item, Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Visual Studio softwares. This software allows transferring and resolving the data required for Pavement Management System and applying various scenarios for display the results. With the aim of verify the system can be run, some applications are conducted using previously collected data. 383

In this study, particular specifications have been compared as making sophisticated analysis on conventional asphalt concrete samples produced using crushed stone aggregate (CSA) and light asphalt concrete samples produced using expanded clay aggregate which is light aggregate (ECA). First some physical tests carried out on produced samples and physical specification of each sample has been determined. After then mechanical specifications of samples have been determined with destructive and non-destructive tests. All these tests and considering material usage and procurement economical, physical and mechanical specifications have been compared and evaluated results., Bu çalışmada kırma taş agrega (KTA) kullanılarak geleneksel olarak üretilmiş asfalt beton numuneler ve yapay bir hafif agrega olan genleştirilmiş kil agrega (GKA) ile üretilmiş hafif asfalt beton numuneler üzerinde çok yönlü incelemeler yapılarak bir takım özellikler karşılaştırılmıştır. Üretilen numuneler üzerinde öncelikle bazı fiziksel deneyler yapılmış ve her bir numunenin fiziksel özelliği tayin edilmiştir. Daha sonra tahribatlı ve tahribatsız bir takım deneyler ile numunelerin mekanik özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Tüm bu deneyler ve son olarak da malzeme kullanımı ve temini gibi durumlar göz önünde bulundurularak ekonomik, fiziksel ve mekanik özellikler karşılaştırılmış ve sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir.

In this study, an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) model has been developed in order to predict Present Serviceability Ratio (PSR) which is one of the important parameter used in designing rigid pavements. In modeling Slope Variance (SV), Cracking (C) and Patching (P) were used as input parameters and PSR was used as output parameter ANFIS model compared with experimental (measured) parameters and determined that correlation was perfect between them. It was determined that can be able to use ANFIS model for predicting PSR used practically in designing rigid pavements depending on SV, C and P with low error rates within a short period of time without any experimental study and measurement.

Kentler, nüfusun, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik faaliyetlerin yoğunluğu açısından diğer yerleşim birimlerinden farklılaştıkları gibi bu özellikleri nedeniyle her tür tehlike karşısında yüksek risk taşımaktadırlar. Kentlerin bu yapısal özellikleri ile yerleşim yerine ait coğrafi, fiziksel, sosyo-ekonomik, kültürel özellikler; hızlı ve düzensiz kentleşme, gecekondulaşma gibi kentleşme sorunları birleşince mevcut riskler artmaktadır. Kentleşmenin beraberinde getirdiği sorunlardan biriside sağlık hizmetlerinin kentin bütününe düzenli bir şekilde yayılamamasıdır. Bunun en büyük nedenleri gelişen kent alanları ve kent dokusunda ortaya çıkan yenilenmelerdir. Sağlık hizmetlerinden 112 ambulans hizmetlerinin düzenli bir şekilde verilebilmesi için 112 ambulans istasyonlarının konumları ve etki alanlarının bilinmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada Isparta ili 112 Ambulans istasyonlarının hizmet alanlarının sorgulanması ve ambulansların olay mahaline ulaşmalarında optimum güzergahın Coğrafi Silgi Sistemleri (CBS) ile belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada altlık olarak Isparta kent merkezine ait 1/5000 ölçekli imar haritası UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) projeksiyon sistemine göre koordinatlandırılarak sayısallaştırılmıştır. Yaklaşık 20 km2 lik çalışma alanı içerisindeki 112 ambulans hizmeti veren özel ve resmi sağlık kuruluşlarının lokasyonları Meridian Platinium el GPS’i ile tespit edilerek Isparta iline ait sayısal haritalar üzerinde işaretlenmiştir. Sayısal harita üzerinde belirlenen her istasyon için sağlık merkezinin kapasitesini sorgulayacak seviyede veri tabanı ArcGIS 9.0 yazılımı kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Sağlık merkezlerinin kapasitelerine göre Voronoi Poligonları oluşturularak istasyonların optimum etki alanları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca Isparta kent merkezine ait sayısal yol haritasının network topolojisi oluşturularak ArcGIS 9.0 yazılımı Network Analiz modülü aracılığıyla çeşitli senaryolara göre ambulanslar için optimum yol güzergahları belirlenmiştir. Tüm bu sorgulama ve analizler sonucunda gerekli görülen bölgelerde yeni 112 ambulans istasyon noktaları oluşturulması önerilmiştir., Not only the Urbans differentiates from the other residential units in terms of density of population, social, culturel and economic activities but also they have higher risk against the all kind of danger because of this features. Available risks have increased when combined with the structural features of urbans and urban troubles, belongs to residental units, like geographic, phisycal, socio-economic, cultural features; rapid and irregular urbanization, squatters. One of the problems that comes with the urbanization is not regular expansion of the health services in the whole urban. The biggest reason is the developing urban areas and regeneration occured at the urban tissue. For serving the 112 ambulance service of the health services in a regular way required to know the domains and locations of the stations of 112 ambulance. In this study, it has been aimed that querying the service areas of 112 ambulance stations in the Isparta and determining the optimum route of the ambulances to reach the incident scene with the Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In the study, 1/5000 scaled reconstruction map belongs to Isparta urban centre based tool digitized with coordinating according to the UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) Projection Syste. Locations of formal and informal health enterprices serves 112 ambulance service in the working area of about 20 km2 as determining with the Meridian Platinium manuel GIS marked on the digital maps belongs to Isparta. For every station marked on the digital map database at level of querying the capasity of the health center prepared with ArcGIS 9.0 software. Voronoi Polygons created according to the capasity of the health center and determined the optimum domains of stations. Also created network topology of digital route map belongs to Isparta urban centre and determined optimum routes for ambulances according to the various scenarios through Network Analyse Modulus of ArcGIS 9.0 software. As a result of these questioning and analyses suggested that creating the new 112 ambulance station points in the required territories.

Günümüzde kullanım alanı gün geçtikçe artan Kent Bilgi Sistemleri’nin bileşenlerinden birisi de altyapı bilgi sistemleridir. Bu çalışmada altyapı bilgi sistemlerinin küçük ölçekli bir yerleşim biriminde kullanımı yer almaktadır. Çalışma alanı olarak Isparta ili Atabey ilçesi seçilmiştir. Bu amaçla Atabey ilçesi altyapı şebeke sistemlerinden olan içmesuyu şebeke sistemine ait haritalar (Planlar, veriler) temin edilmiş ve bunlar ArcView 9.0 Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi programı aracılığıyla sayısallaştırılmıştır. Temin edilen grafik olmayan (sözel) veriler ile sayısallaştırılan veriler ilişkilendirilerek çalışma alanına ait bir veri tabanı oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan bu veri tabanında çeşitli sorgulamalar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tüm bu işlemler sonucunda İçmesuyu Bilgi Sisteminin küçük ölçekli yerleşim birimlerinde başarıyla uygulanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır., Nowadays, one of the components of Urban Information System, which is being increasingly used every single day, is Substructure Information System. In this study, the use of Substructure Information System in a small scale dwelling unit is included. By this aim, maps (plans, data) belonging to drinking-water network system, which is one of Atabey’s Substructure Network Systems, were provided and turned into numerical data through the use of ArcView 9.0 Geographical Information System Software. A database belonging to the study field were set up by making connection between non-graphical (oral) data and numerical data. In this database, various inquiries were made. As a result of all these studies, we came to the conclusion that Drinking-water Information System could be applicable in small-scale dwelling units. Study area was selected as the Atabey district of Isparta province.

ÖZETKENT BİLGİ SİSTEMİ VE UYGULAMASI: ATABEY ÖRNEĞİNihat MOROVAGünümüz şartlarında nüfusun hızla artmasına paralel olarak kentleşme oranında dahızlı bir artış gözlemlenmektedir. Kentleşmenin hızlı, kuralsız ve plansız bir şekildegelişmesi sonucunda karşımıza çok ciddi sorunlar çıkmaktadır. Bu sorunlarınçözümlenebilmesi, bunun yanında kurumsal hizmetlerin tam anlamıyla yerinegetirilebilmesi, hizmetlerde verim artışı, zaman ve ekonomik tasarruflarınsağlanabilmesi, karar verme sürecinde, doğru, güncel ve güvenilir bilgiye süratleulaşılması bilgi sistemlerinin önemini ve gerekliliğini ortaya çıkarmaktadır.Kent Bilgi Sistemi (KBS), kentsel faaliyetlerin yerine getirilmesinde en doğru kararıverebilmek için ihtiyaç duyulan, planlama, mühendislik, eğitim, sağlık, gibi temelhizmetlerin yanı sıra yönetim kademesi açısından karar verme sürecindedeğerlendirilecek olan bilgilere hızlı bir şekilde ulaşarak, bilgiyi sağlıklı ve çokyönlü inceleyen ve irdeleyen bilgisayar teknolojine dayalı sistemler olaraktanımlanmaktadırlar.Bugünün koşullarında tüm kamu ve özel sektör kuruluşları KBS'nin öneminianlamış, kendi hedef ve amaçları doğrultusunda, beklentilerine cevap verebilecekKBS projelerinin gerçekleştirilmesi konusunda çalışmalar başlatmışlardır. Özelliklehizmet verme noktasında, halk ile bire bir karşı karşıya gelen, bir kentin her türlüplanlamasında ve şehircilik faaliyetlerinde büyük görevler üstlenen belediyeler KBS'ne ihtiyaç duyan kurumların başında gelmektedir.Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, KBS' yi kullanmak isteyebilecek kamu ve özel sektörkuruluşlarına, KBS'ni ve sistemi oluşturan öğelerin tanıtılması, KBS'nin uygulamaalanlarının açıklanması, sistemin oluşturulabilmesi için gerekli altyapınınoluşturulması, sistemden sağlanabilecek faydalar ile sistem kurmada yaşanansorunların irdelenmesi ve örnek bir uygulama ile somut hale getirilmesidir. Örnekuygulama alanı olarak seçilen Atabey Belediyesi'ne ait sayısal ve sözel verilerleyapılan örnek KBS modellemesinde gerçekleştirilen sorgulama ve analizlerçalışmada sunulmuştur. In this study usability of waste colemanite which is obtained after cutting block colemanite for giving proper shape to blocks as an aggregate in hot mix asphalt. For this aim asphalt concrete samples were prepared with four different aggregate groups and optimum bitumen content was determined. First of all only limestone was used as an aggregate. After that, only colemanite aggregate was used with same aggregate gradation. Then, the next step of the study, Marshall samples were produced by changing coarse and fine aggregate gradation as limestone and colemanite and Marshall test were conducted. When evaluated the results samples which produced with only limestone aggregate gave the maximum Marshall Stability value. When handled other mixture groups (Only colemanite, colemanite as coarse aggregate-limestone as fine aggregate, colemanite as fine aggregate-limestone as coarse aggregate) all groups were verified specification limits. As a result, especially in areas where there is widespread colemanite waste, if transportation costs did not exceed the cost of limestone, colemanite stone waste could be used instead of limestone in asphalt concrete mixtures as fine aggregate. Not only the Urbans differentiates from the other residential units in terms of density of population, social, culturel and economic activities but also they have higher risk against the all kind of danger because of this features. Available risks have increased when combined with the structural features of urbans and urban troubles, belongs to residental units, like geographic, phisycal, socio-economic, cultural features; rapid and irregular urbanization, squatters. One of the problems that comes with the urbanization is not regular expansion of the health services in the whole urban. The biggest reason is the developing urban areas and regeneration occured at the urban tissue. For serving the 112 ambulance service of the health services in a regular way required to know the domains and locations of the stations of 112 ambulance. In this study, it has been aimed that querying the service areas of 112 ambulance stations in the Isparta and determining the optimum route of the ambulances to reach the incident scene with the Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In the study, 1/5000 scaled reconstruction map belongs to Isparta urban centre based tool digitized with coordinating according to the UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) Projection Syste. Locations of formal and informal health enterprices serves 112 ambulance service in the working area of about 20 km2 as determining with the Meridian Platinium manuel GIS marked on the digital maps belongs to Isparta. For every station marked on the digital map database at level of querying the capasity of the health center prepared with ArcGIS 9.0 software. Voronoi Polygons created according to the capasity of the health center and determined the optimum domains of stations. Also created network topology of digital route map belongs to Isparta urban centre and determined optimum routes for ambulances according to the various scenarios through Network Analyse Modulus of ArcGIS 9.0 software. As a result of these questioning and analyses suggested that creating the new 112 ambulance station points in the required territories. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Burdur lake water level fluctuations in this study in order to estimate a model was developed fuzzy logic method. In addition, the multiple linear regression analysis with known methods created in the model equation. As independent variables, precipitation and evaporation, was used as the dependent variable in the Burdur lake water level changes. Data used in the observation stations in and around Lake Burdur-year average for the years 1975-2004 contains data. The developed fuzzy logic model created with the regression equation to predict the reliability of the models was tested by comparing the values with data from observation stations.
