La creciente producción y uso de materiales poliméricos de un solo uso convencionales, NO Biodegradables o simplemente llamados plásticos sintéticos, genera una presión negativa sobre las componentes ambientales causando contaminación y deterioro del medio ambiente. Teniendo en cuenta que la degradación de estos plásticos sintéticos es muy lenta, que puede tardar hasta 500 años (Chamas, y otros, 2020), e incluso generar micro plásticos en los mares, animales y el medio ambiente (Elías, 2015) a su vez contiene una sustancia llamada “BISPHENOL A” que al calentarse se libera, ocasionando efectos negativos ante la salud del consumidor (Vandenberg, Hauser, Marcus, Olea, & Welshons, 2007) Según datos de la Superintendencia de Servicios Públicos (SSP, 2018) en Colombi a se generaron 10.3 millones de toneladas de residuos sólidos urbanos (SSP, 2018). Así mismo, el consumo de material plástico en Colombia es de 1.25 millones ton/año (DANE, 2019), cifra que equivale al 12,3% del total de desechos sólidos, correspondientes a materiales y empaques consumidos y desechados. Por otro lado, un informe de (Acoplasticos, 2020) indica el 54% de la producción de la industria de plástico de Colombia corresponde a empaques y envases para productos alimenticios, productos de higiene y aseo, productos industriales y lubricantes. Se ha evidenciado que una fracción de estos llega a ser utilizado incluso unos minutos o hasta unos segundos para luego ser desechado. Esto es evidente en los residuos de empaques, pitillos, vasos y cubiertos de un solo uso, entre otros. Ante la problemática mencionada, el sector industrial tiene gran responsabilidad y compromiso para proporcionar alternativas ecológicas de empaques biodegradables e inocuos a los consumidores. Dichas alternativas deben estar basadas en el aprovechamiento de materias primas y la transformación del sector agroindustrial para la creación de bioplásticos y soluciones eco -amigables con el medio. 1. There is a widespread consensus in the literature about the positive effects of having allies in congress for the legislative consequences of social movements. However, social scientists know little about the dynamics associated with this kind of interaction. Scholars have attempted to unravel the nature and consequences of these alliances, but they remain a black box because of the use of theoretical proxies. A growing body of literature realizes the limitations of this approach and has started to advocate for a more focused and detailed analysis that pays attention to the interactions and perceptions of the activists and legislators involved in an alliance. I contribute to this area of inquiry by examining the interplay of activists and their allies in congress following a grounded approach, using the case of the Chilean environmental, LGBT and labor movements. By interviewing activists and their allies in congress, I could obtain detailed data on the perceptions, motivations, and extent of their interactions.As part of this dissertation, I develop a nuanced theoretical understanding of the motivations and exchange patterns involved in the alliance activists forge with members of congress. Then, I analyze different strategies social movement organizations can use to establish that kind of tie with a legislator. Finally, I assess the consequences of having an ally in congress for the achievement of activists’ demands. I find that an alliance between activists and legislators is a complex kind of social relation motivated by different rationales of action that shape the contours of their interaction and that having these allies has a positive effect for the leverage of activists throughout the lawmaking process. These findings contribute to the theoretical and methodological analysis of the alliance between activists and legislators, opening a debate about how their interaction and cooperation brings about policy and social change.

Caracterizar factores de riesgo presentes en el entorno laboral asociados con alteraciones de la salud visual en trabajadores de VIRGILIO SABOYA S.A.S. En los procesos productivos de la empresa VIRGILO SABOYA S.A.S., los trabajadores están expuestos a factores de riesgo en el entorno laboral, los cuales se asocian a la pérdida de la visión. En el Informe de Condiciones de Salud del personal vinculado en el año 2019, se encuentra que la patología con mayor incidencia en los colaboradores son las alteraciones visuales (miopía- astigmatismo y presbicia) con un porcentaje del 50% (Mendez, 2020), el objetivo es caracterizar los factores de riesgo presentes en el entorno laboral asociados con las alteraciones visuales. El enfoque de esta investigación cualitativo, el estudio es descriptivo. La muestra de la población es no probabilística, a conveniencia, participaron 7 hombres entre 27 y 59 años del área operativa, que decidieron participar. Para la recolección de información se solicita permiso a los directivos de la empresa y a los trabajadores, también se aplicó dos instrumentos, una encuesta para conocer las características sociales, demográficas, hábitos y estilos de vida del individuo y una lista de chequeo a los procesos productivos por categorías, individuo, tarea, ambiente y organización. Se analiza la información del perfil sociodemográfico y las lista de chequeo, utilizando gráficos por categorías y comparándola con el marco de referencia. Se encontró que los mayores problemas, son los presentes en el trabajador y en la organización, por lo que se propone un plan de mejora encaminado a la sensibilización del trabajador, al buen uso de elementos de protección visual, pausas activas visuales, seguimiento a las personas con hallazgos, implementar programa de No consumo de tabaco y alcohol, y un sistema de vigilancia epidemiológico visual. In the production processes of the company VIRGILO SABOYA S.A.S., workers are exposed to risk factors in the workplace, which are associated with loss of vision. In the Health Conditions Report of the linked personnel in the year 2019, it is found that the pathology with the highest incidence in collaborators is visual disturbances (myopia, astigmatism and presbyopia) with a percentage of 50% (Mendez, 2020), the objective is to characterize the risk factors present in the work environment associated with visual disturbances. The focus of this research is qualitative, the study is descriptive. The population sample is non-probabilistic, it's convenient, 7 men between 27 and 59 years old from the operating area participated, and who decided to participate. For the collection of information, permission is requested from the company and the workers, two instruments were also applied, a survey to find out the individual's social, demographic, habits and lifestyle characteristics and a checklist of production processes by categories, individual, task, environment and organization. Sociodemographic profile information and checklists are analyzed, using graphs by categories and comparing it with the frame of reference. It was found that the biggest problems, are present in the worker and in the organization, so an improvement plan is proposed, aimed at raising worker awareness, to the good use of elements of visual protection, visual active pauses, follow up on people with findings, implement a program of No consumption of tobacco and alcohol, and a visual epidemiological surveillance system.

El presente trabajo, titulado Conflicto y Posconflicto. La mujer, su rol en la guerra y su esperanza en el posconflicto, pretende Identificar las actuaciones del Estado en los últimos veinte años respecto de la atención de la mujer como víctima del conflicto en el municipio de Granada – Meta, para ello se hace una revisión bibliográfica, partiendo de la caracterización de las mujeres víctimas asentadas en el municipio, desde lo cual se identifican las condiciones actuales de supervivencia de las mujeres inscritas en el programa de víctimas de la UAO, logrando describir las acciones de planeación y aplicación de los programas y proyectos dirigidos a la atención y asistencia de las mujeres víctimas, que se vienen desarrollando para tal fin en el municipio, logrando identificar las condiciones actuales de supervivencia, para ello se utiliza la metodología de revisión documental. Siendo esta una investigación cualitativa. Se puede establecer que la mujer fue uno de los actores que más sufrió los rigores de la guerra, pues además de las pérdidas de familiares, esposos, también fue víctima de desplazamiento, violencia sexual, torturas y muertes, pero además se establece que la impunidad reina en gran cantidad de casos sucedidos alrededor de la mujer como víctima del conflicto. The present work, titled Conflict and Post-Conflict. The woman, her role in the war and her hope in the post-conflict, intends to identify the actions of the State in the last twenty years regarding the attention of women as victims of the conflict in the municipality of Granada - Meta, for this purpose a bibliographic review, based on the characterization of women victims settled in the municipality, from which the current conditions of survival of women enrolled in the UAO victims program are identified, managing to describe the planning and implementation actions of the programs and projects aimed at the care and assistance of women victims, which are being developed for this purpose in the municipality, managing to identify the current conditions of survival, for this the document review methodology is used. This being a qualitative investigation. It can be established that the woman was one of the actors who suffered the most from the rigors of war, because in addition to the loss of family members, husbands, she was also a victim of displacement, sexual violence, torture and death, but it is also established that impunity Reigns in a large number of cases that occurred around women as victims of the conflict.

This study determined the influence of Facebook addiction on study habits of the second year Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students during the second semester, Academic Year 2016-2017 in the College of Business Education of North Luzon Philippines State College, Candon City, Ilocos Sur. The descriptive-comparative-correlational method of research was utilized. The Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS) and Study Habits Questionnaire (SHQ) were used as tools in gathering data. The mean, t-test, Pearson Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation, and Linear regression were utilized in the treatment of data. Results show that the respondents have a moderate degree of Facebook addiction; the male and female addiction to Facebook differ. There is a high study habit among the respondents and show no significant differences in their profile. Correlation analysis shows that the dimensions of Facebook addiction, namely: salience, tolerance, mood modification, relapse, withdrawal, and conflict are significantly correlated with overall study habits by the respondents which means that there is a direct yet positive correlation between the two variables. Hence, the higher the Facebook addiction, the higher the study habits among the second year BSOA students in the College of Business Education. Linear regression analysis reveals that addiction in using Facebook is a predictor of overall study habits among the BSOA second-year students. It is recommended that the result of this study should inform the students about the effects of Facebook addiction in their studies. An intervention program should be formulated as a means to strengthen the study habits of students.

Para ultimar el proceso de pregrado como Profesional en Negocios Internacionales de la Universidad Santo Tomás, las prácticas empresariales fueron de mi elección como opción de grado. Prácticas que fueron llevadas a cabo en la multinacional Cencosud S.A., desempeñando el cargo de Analista de Compras en el departamento de abastecimiento nacional, área de DPH (Droguería y Perfumería). En esta experiencia pude ser parte de la cadena logística, en una división tan determinante como lo es la adquisición de mercancías para su respectiva distribución a puntos de venta. La actividad de la compra acarrea un sin número de funciones derivadas dentro de las cuales encontramos principalmente la generación de pedidos, montaje y modificación de órdenes de compra, resolución de solicitudes de puntos de venta y sede administrativa, generación de informes de stock, proveedores, tiendas, como controles de auditoría interna, entre otros. En este artículo se propone la aplicación de la transformada discreta de coseno (DCT) y el muestreo compresivo (MC) para la compresión de señales de audio. Usando el análisis espectral y las propiedades de la DCT se obtiene una señal de audio dispersa en el dominio de la frecuencia, lo cual permite el empleo de técnicas de MC para este tipo de señales en el dominio de la DCT. Así, se propone el uso de la DCT y el MC para obtener una representación eficiente de las señales de audio donde la DCT opera como un módulo de pre-procesamiento que permite obtener una representación dispersa de la señal en el dominio de la frecuencia, permitiendo la posterior aplicación del MC a las señales de audio. Con esto es posible obtener una representación de las señales de audio con menos muestras que las requeridas por el conocido teorema de muestreo.

In this paper, it is proposed to apply the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and the compressive sampling (CS) techniques to audio signal compression. Using spectral analysis and the properties of the DCT, audio signals can be treated as sparse signals in the frequency domain. This is especially true for sounds representing tones. Thus, it is proposed using the DCT as a preprocessor to obtain a sparse representation in the frequency domain, combined with CS to obtain an efficient representation of the signals. It is shown that the subsequent application of CS represents the signals with less information than the well-known sampling theorem.

El Controlador Unificado de Flujo de Potencia ó UPFC (Unified Power Flow Controller) es una de las más importantes aplicaciones de la electrónica de potencia en los modernos sistemas eléctricos de potencia. El UPFC constituye uno de los más recientes dispositivos FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System) con el que se busca flexibilizar la transmisión en corriente alterna permitiendo controlar, en forma independiente, los flujos de potencia activa y reactiva enviados a través de una línea de transmisión en alta tensión. El control sobre el flujo de potencia se logra por la inyección en serie con la línea de transmisión de una tensión alterna de magnitud y fase ajustables, generada por un inversor de tensión empleando la modulación de ancho de pulso (PWM por Pulse Width Modulation). La corriente de línea que pasa por los terminales de este convertidor y la tensión en los mismos establecerá un intercambio de potencia activa y reactiva, siendo necesaria para el manejo de la potencia activa que este inversor esté conectado a un segundo inversor controlado como rectificador PWM. En el presente trabajo se muestran los resultados obtenidos por simulación del UPFC conectado a un sistema elemental de transmisión de potencia para una primera evaluación y en donde el modelo utilizado para el UPFC se basa en el modelo de componente fundamental de tensión y corriente del inversor de tensión y en la aplicación de transformaciones d-q que permite plantear el control que desacoplará las componentes de potencia activa “P” y reactiva “Q”. The Unified power flow controller (UPFC) is the most important contribution of the power electronics in the modern Electrical Power Systems. The UPFC is able to decouple the control of the active and reactive power sent trough the transmission Une. This control is performed by injecting in series with the transmission Une a voltage with regulated magnitude and phase, generated by a PWM voltage source inverter (VSI). When the current flow in the Une originate in the inverter an active and reactive power. The active part of the power require to be either supplied or absorbed by a device, e.g. a second inverter. In this paper, simulation result obtained with a fundamental model of UPFC connected to a simple AC transmission system, and a control system base on “dq” transformation necessary to obtained the P and Q decoupled control is presented.
