The article compares the results of applying some statistical criteria to detect suspicious values (gross outliers) in the daily performance indicators of one of the transport companies in the Russian Federation. The criteria applicable to data samples with a normal distribution law are considered. In this connection, a preliminary test of the hypothesis about the correspondence of the distribution of controlled quantities to this law was carried out. It is shown that identifying gross outliers in the values of the indicators under consideration requires the simultaneous application of several statistical criteria.

The process of identifying structural and semantic features of terminology in French attracts particular linguistic interest. Modern researchers pay special attention to the concept of ‘term’. They are also interested in studying the issues of word-formation modeling. A term (lat. terminus “limit, boundary”) is a word or phrase that personifies certain concepts from the subject area (Chesterman A., Toury G.). The socio-economic branch of cosmetic production stands in its dynamic development. Currently, a large number of cosmetic products have appeared to be given special nominations. In responding to social processes, linguistics is involved in the modeling of new words. The branch of cosmetic production makes a special vocabulary, which is strongly influenced by terms borrowed from other languages. These processes can be systematized and presented in the form of scientific developments.

The consumption of food products with low consumer properties is the reason for a decrease in a life quality as well as for a number of diseases development among the population. Meanwhile, the annual volume of confectionery production and their consumption is increasing, which requires an expansion of the assortment in this group. A jelly product was developed, using the unusual raw materials chickpeas (Cicer arietinum). During the formulation development the samples with high organoleptic characteristics were obtained. To determine the rheological properties, 1% agar solutions with sucrose content of 25% and with different contents of chickpea puree were examined. Additionally, the effect of the sucrose amount on agar jellies was studied. The samples were 1% agar solutions with different sucrose content. Thus, when developing a formulation with agar, for the desired result it is worth considering the amount of sucrose and chickpea puree, which affect the strength of the agar gel.

Background The ESPN/ERA-EDTA Registry collects data on European children with end-stage renal disease receiving renal replacement therapy (RRT) who are listed on national and regional renal registries in Europe. In this paper we report on the analysis of demographic data collected from 2009 to 2011. Methods Data on primary renal disease, incidence, prevalence, 4-year survival, transplantation rate and causes of death in paediatric patients receiving RRT were extracted from the ESPN/ERA-EDTA Registry for 37 European countries. Results The incidence of RRT in paediatric patients in Europe during the study period was 5.5 cases per million age-related population (pmarp) in patients aged 0-14 years and varied markedly between countries (interquartile range 3.4 7.0 years). The prevalence of RRT was 27.9 pmarp and increased with age, with 67% of prevalent patients living with a functioning graft. The probability of receiving a transplant within 4 years was 76.9% and was lowest in patients aged 0-4 years (68.9%). Mortality in paediatric patients treated with RRT was 55-fold higher than that of the general EU paediatric population. Overall survival at 4 years was 93.7%, with the poorest survival in patients aged 0-4 years and in patients starting on dialysis. Infections (19.9%) were the primary cause of death in European paediatric RRT patients. Conclusion Considerable variation exists in the current demographics of children treated with RRT across Europe. Harmful consequences of civil unrest in 2010, in the Southern region of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh, continue to have an impact on communities to the present day. One of the most significant effects has been numerous undiagnosed cases of rape and other types of gender-based violence (GBV) that occurred during the interethnic conflict. The true prevalence rate of GBV cases is still unknown. For example, according to official data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (2011), there were only seven cases of rape during the conflict; however, crisis center reports documented 322 rapes (Molchanova, 2016). Cultural norms dictate that women who experience GBV hide their “shame,” which is why only a small percentage of victims with PTSD symptoms resulting from GBV seek out services from professionals, such as from crisis centers, psychologists and psychiatrists, and police. Indigenous healers are often the first and only stop for help-seeking. However, the influences of diverse religious beliefs and practices as well as the development of Western-style helping methods in the Kyrgyz Republic have shaped the practice of traditional healing. This hybridization, which is a process of including religious and even medical practices into traditional healing, started in the middle of the 1990s, and now, the extensive networks of traditional healers in the Kyrgyz Republic often combine traditional rituals with Islamic prayer, herbal treatment, massage, and other techniques. This article explores the hybridization of indigenous healing in the Kyrgyz Republic as a consequence of a variety of social transformations, and, as a result of polymorphism, the complexity and clinical variability of posttraumatic symptoms in Kyrgyz cultural settings.
