In this study, a device for free fall experiment has developed and implemented. A mobile Android application is developed in order to control the device via Bluetooth connection and see results of experiments in terms of measured time values, squares of measured time values and their graphs. Furthermore, a method is developed and implemented on embedded software in order to make it possible for more than one person groups to experiment using machine without interrupting each other’s work or taking each other’s pre-defined turn. Experimental results and comparison with theoretical calculations provided.

Service and repair of operating and servicing organizations are largely equipped with outdated, low-power, highly specialized bench equipment from former specialized enterprises and do not always meet the technical requirements of the manufacturer, especially for conducting quality control programs for the repair of powerful and modern tractors. These circumstances together reduce the reliability of the obtained diagnostic parameters and may lead to the risk of errors in determining the technical readiness of the repaired equipment, in particular, internal combustion engines, transmission units and chassis, hydraulic drive. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in developing a mobile control and diagnostic device for monitoring the power and fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine, as well as the quality of repair of hydrostatic transmission and hydraulic drive units. (Materials and methods) The article presents an analysis of scientific works on improving methods for diagnosing energy indicators of mobile agricultural machinery, as well as conducted extensive research on the use of axial plunger pumps and throttling the flow of liquid injected by them with a constant and variable cross-section throttle for engine braking. (Results and discussion) Authors developed an experimental model of a mobile control and diagnostic device and experimentally tested the methods for determining its parameters and control and diagnostic operations. (Conclusions) The use of the proposed mobile control and diagnostic device will eliminate excessive fuel consumption by tractors when reducing the effective power of their internal combustion engines below the permissible limits, and will also allow the diagnosis of hydrostatic transmission units in the conditions of agricultural and service enterprises and exclude the sending of serviceable units with unused resources for repair.

The use of mobile control action allows the improvement of technical-economical characteristics of the rectification process and allows for operation regimes that can’t be achieved with traditional control approaches. Mobility lies in the ability to choose the movement law of compound source and energy in the spatial region of apparatus. Mobile control over the rectification process can be realized by changing the column feed point. An optimal number of feed trays must be determined with consideration of cost and output performance, and also the quality of the target product. The work aimed to develop a method for calculating optimal control action, including mobile ones, on the rectification process with additional account for the criterion of maximizing quality of target product, and also, comparison of static column profiles that are optimal by different criteria. Mathematical modeling of the rectification column for separation of water-methanol mixture revealed that increasing quality requirements to target products decreases the number of the optimal feed tray. A method was described for process optimization by the normalized criterion that accounts for separation quality and power consumption. The method was used to determine optimal values of traditional (flows of heat into the column's cube and phlegm) and mobile (feed tray number) control actions that provide the best technical-economical parameters of the rectification column. A proof is presented for the existence and uniqueness of solutions for this optimization problem and the effectiveness of using mobile actions for different requirements to target. The optimal temperature profile of the culms was studied and their characteristic features that correspond to different specific and normalized optimization criteria were found

The search for optimal control algorithms for spacecrafts is one of the key areas in rocket and space technology. Taking into account certain restrictions and requirements in a specific space mission, the selection of certain executive devices of the spacecraft is carried out and the corresponding control law is synthesized. One of such space missions is the providing of angular motion stabilization of a utilized spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system. The stabilization of spacecraft angular motion is needed for the orientation of aerodynamic element perpendicular to the vector of atmosphere dynamic flux with the aim of increasing of aerodynamic braking force. In this mission, the main optimization criterion is the minimization of the on-board electrical energy consumption which is needed for the control of angular motion. The original construction of the aeromagnetic deorbiting system consists of aerodynamic flat sails element and executive control devices with permanent magnets. However, not all spacecraft can be equipped with additional executive control devices with permanent magnets. That’s why with the aim of expansion of aeromagnetic deorbiting system application, using extra source of electromagnetic control executive devices is proposed in this research.The purpose of the article is the search of the control law which provides minimal consumption of electrical on-board energy by electromagnetic control executive devices during long-term deorbiting mission. For satisfying this criterion of optimization using of mobile control methods to orientate the spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system are proposed in this investigation. Computer modeling of orbital motion of spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system show the efficiency of using proposed mobile methods for angular motion control which realized by electromagnetic devices – magnetorquers. It has been showed that because of using mobile control method consumption of on-board electrical energy significantly less than with classical approach. The advantages and disadvantages have been determined.

Object. Systems of the distillation processes automatic control, that provide extreme quality indicators of the column functioning using mobile control actions and a nonlinear predictive simulation. Subject. A method for optimizing the distillation process using continuous mobile control actions in the feed flow redistribution between the apparatus’ contact devices. Aim. The method development for computation of optimal control actions on the process of multicomponent distillation, including continuous mobile actions, that provide optimal operating modes for columns according to criteria for productivity maximization and energy costs minimization. Results. The static simulation allowed computing the concentration profiles of the column for the separation of the methyl tert-butyl ether synthesis products (MTBE) and it was proved that the feed flow redistribution between two contact devices can significantly affect the apparatus’ static characteristics, meanwhile the quality of the target product is extremely dependent on the redistribution coefficient. The choice of the feed tray is justified considering the criterial losses on the contact devices of the column. The problem of the multicomponent distillation process optimizing for a normalized criterion, which simultaneously includes the process productivity and the energy consumption for its conduct, is solved. The selected criterion extremely depends on the magnitude of the continuous control action, that determines the existence and uniqueness of the optimization problem solution. Conclusions. It is proved that the continuous mobile actions allow providing many modes of operation of the column, unattainable in the class of traditional and discrete, and to improve the technical and economic performance of the process compared with cases of full feed supply to any of the trays. The research’s results can be used in solving problems of designing and optimizing the operation modes of distillation apparatuses, for making automatic control systems for distillation processes., Объект. Системы автоматического управления процессами ректификации, обеспечивающие экстремальные показатели качества функционирования колонны использованием подвижных управляющих воздействий и нелинейной прогнозирующей модели. Предмет. Метод оптимизации процесса ректификации использованием непрерывных подвижных управляющих воздействий, состоящих в перераспределении потока питания между контактными устройствами аппарата. Цель. Разработка метода расчета оптимальных управляющих воздействий на процесс многокомпонентной ректификации, в том числе и непрерывных подвижных, обеспечивающих оптимальные режимы работы колонн за критериями максимизации производительности и минимизации энергозатрат. Результаты. С использованием модели статики рассчитаны концентрационные профили колонны для разделения продуктов синтеза метилтретбутилового эфира (МТБЭ) и доказано, что перераспределением потока питания между двумя контактными устройствами возможно существенно влиять на статические характеристики аппарата, а качество целевого продукта экстремально зависит от величины коэффициента перераспределения. Обоснован выбор тарелок питания с учетом критериальных потерь на контактных устройствах колонны. Решена задача оптимизации процесса многокомпонентной ректификации за нормализованным критерием, который одновременно учитывает производительность процесса и энергозатраты на его ведение. Выбранный критерий от величины непрерывного подвижного воздействия зависит экстремально, что определяет существование и однозначность решения оптимизационной задачи. Выводы. Доказано, что использование непрерывных подвижных воздействий позволяет обеспечить множество режимов работы колонны, недостижимых в классе традиционных и дискретных, и повысить технико-экономические показатели процесса по сравнению со случаями полной подачи питания на какую-либо из тарелок. Результаты проведенных исследований могут быть использованы в решениях задач проектирования и оптимизации режимов работы ректификационных аппаратов, для построения систем автоматического управления процессами ректификации., Об’єкт. Системи автоматичного керування процесами ректифікації, що забезпечують екстремальні показники якості функціонування колони використанням рухливих керуючих впливів і нелінійної прогнозуючої моделі. Предмет. Метод оптимізації процесу ректифікації використанням неперервних рухливих керуючих впливів, що полягають в перерозподілі потоку живлення між контактними пристроями апарату. Мета. Розробка методу розрахунку оптимальних керуючих впливів на процес багатокомпонентної ректифікації, в тому числі і неперервних рухливих, що забезпечують оптимальні режими роботи колон за критеріями максимізації продуктивності і мінімізації енерговитрат. Результати. З використанням моделі статики розраховано концентраційні профілі колони для поділу продуктів синтезу метилтретбутилового ефіру (МТБЕ) і доведено, що перерозподілом потоку живлення між двома контактними пристроями можливо суттєво впливати на статичні характеристики апарату, а якість цільового продукту екстремально залежить від величини коефіцієнта перерозподілу. Обґрунтовано вибір тарілок живлення з урахуванням критеріальних втрат на контактних пристроях колони. Вирішено задачу оптимізації процесу багатокомпонентної ректифікації за нормалізованим критерієм, що одночасно враховує продуктивність процесу і енерговитрати на його ведення. Обраний критерій від величини неперервного рухливого впливу залежить екстремально, що визначає існування і однозначність вирішення оптимізаційної задачі. Висновки. Доведено, що використання неперервних рухливих впливів дозволяє забезпечити режими роботи колони, які недосяжні в класі традиційних або дискретних, і підвищити техніко-економічні показники процесу в порівнянні з випадками повної подачі живлення на будь-яку з тарілок. Результати проведених досліджень можуть використовуватись при вирішенні задач проектування та оптимізації режимів роботи ректифікаційних апаратів, при побудові систем екстремального автоматичного керування процесами ректифікації.

This paper introduces a leg-wheel transformable quadruped robot named Lywal which can switch to the leg-mode and the wheel-mode for locomotion, and the claw-mode for picking up and transport functions. First, the mechanical structure of Lywal is designed by using an innovative 2-DoF transformable mechanism. Second, the calculation of kinematics is analyzed in detail. Then, the switching-mode strategy and the mobile control strategies in different modes are designed. Finally, the prototype of Lywal is built. The properties of the mobile modes are analyzed, and the picking-up and transport functions of the claw-mode are verified through physical experiments.

The subject of the study is the question of expediency and relevance of the development of software applications for mobile control of the human functional state on the Android platform. This platform occupies a major market share and development forecasts are quite optimistic, therefore, writing applications that are based on this system are relevant and in demand. An analysis of the current direction of mobile and wireless technologies for information support in the field of health care. The presented problems and contradictions are connected, in particular, with the insufficient level of participation of professional doctors in the development of applications, low computer literacy of the population and the high cost of such technologies. The analysis of medical mobile concepts and technologies covering new areas, including the emergence of more complex programs for the analysis of diagnostic information, the attraction of new types of portable devices is carried out. The purpose of the study is to create a mobile application to measure human fatigue on the basis of the KCHZM. As a result of the study, the software code was developed and the program was tested on several mobile devices. Conclusions The proposed complex for the determination of visual fatigue was tested and recommended for industrial implementation. The claimed technical solution can be used in the field of safety of life, industrial sanitation, in particular in the system of determining the level of fatigue of programmers, operators of personal computers, students, athletes.

Subject. System of automatic mobile control of distillation process. Objective. Improving the productivity and energy efficiency of the distillation process by developing an automatic control system that provides mobile control effects on the process, as well as the study of transients in the developed system during major disturbances. Tasks. Development of a system of automatic mobile control of the distillation process, calculation of transients in the developed system, definition and evaluation of quality control indicators. Methods. Methods of simulation digital modeling of automatic control system operation. Results. A system of automatic control of the distillation process has been developed, which provides for discrete and continuous mobile control actions. Discrete effects are changes in the point of introduction of feed into the column; continuous – in changing the ratio of the flow rates of feed flows supplied to the upper and lower parts of the installation. Traditional control effects are also used by changing the heat carrier flow rate in the cube evaporator and irrigation. Optimal traditional and mobile control effects are calculated by the computing control device according to the normalized criterion using a nonlinear predictive model and are realized by influencing the actuators on the supply lines of feed flows, irrigation in the column and the heat carrier in the evaporator. The system involves the use of an adequate mathematical model, for which its periodic identification is performed and the process is monitored by additional measurement of the temperature profile of the column, temperature and pressure on the control plate. In order to maintain the material balance in the liquid and steam phases, it is planned to stabilize the pressure at the top of the column, the levels in the distillate and the cubic product receivers by changing the flow rates, of refrigerant to the condenser, distillate and cubic product. Using the example of a distillation column for separating a methanol-water mixture, the operability of the proposed automatic mobile control system is studied by digital simulation methods. The disturbances consisted of changes in the flow rate, composition, and temperature of the feed. Conclusions. It is proved that the use of the developed system allows to increase the technical and economic indicators of the distillation process and to improve the quality of management. The results can be used in the chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, food industries to control and optimize the processes of binary, multicomponent distillation., Предмет. Система автоматического подвижного управления процессом ректификации. Цель. Повышение производительности и энергоэффективности процесса ректификации путем разработки системы автоматического управления, которая предусматривает подвижные управляющие воздействия на процесс, а также исследования переходных процессов в разработанной системе при основных возмущениях. Задачи. Разработка системы автоматического подвижного управления процессом ректификации, расчет переходных процессов в разработанной системе, определение и оценка показателей качества управления. Методы. Методы имитационного цифрового моделирования работы автоматической системы управления. Результаты. Разработана система автоматического управления процессом ректификации, предусматривающая дискретные и непрерывные подвижные управляющие воздействия. Дискретные воздействия заключаются в изменениях точки ввода питания в колонну; непрерывные – в изменении соотношения расходов потоков питания, которые подаются в верхнюю и нижнюю части установки. Также используются традиционные управляющие воздействия путем изменения расходов теплоносителя в испаритель куба и орошения. Оптимальные традиционные и подвижные управляющие воздействия рассчитываются вычислительным управляющим устройством за нормализованным критерием с использованием нелинейной прогнозирующей модели и реализуются путем воздействий на исполнительные устройства на линиях подачи потоков питания, орошения в колонну и теплоносителя в испаритель. Система предусматривает использование адекватной математической модели, для чего выполняется ее периодическая идентификация и осуществляется контроль за ходом процесса путем дополнительного измерения температурного профиля колонны, температуры и давления на контрольной тарелке. С целью поддержания материального баланса по жидкой и паровой фазах предусмотрена стабилизация давления вверху колоны, уровней в емкостях для сбора дистиллята и кубового продукта путем изменения расходов хладагента в конденсатор, дистиллята и кубового продукта. На примере ректификационной колонны для разделения смеси метанол-вода методами имитационного цифрового моделирования исследована работоспособность предложенной системы автоматического управления с использованием подвижных управляющих воздействий. Возмущения состояли в изменениях расхода, состава и температуры питания. Выводы. Доказано, что использование разработанной системы позволяет повысить технико-экономические показатели процесса ректификации и улучшить качество управления. Результаты могут использоваться в химической, нефтехимической, нефтеперерабатывающей, пищевой промышленности для управления и оптимизации процессов бинарной, многокомпонентной ректификации., Предмет. Система автоматичного рухливого керування процесом ректифікації. Мета. Підвищення продуктивності і енергоефективності процесу ректифікації шляхом розробки системи автоматичного керування, яка передбачає рухливі керуючі впливи на процес, а також дослідження перехідних процесів в розробленій системі при основних збуреннях. Завдання. Розробка системи автоматичного рухливого керування процесом ректифікації, розрахунок перехідних процесів в розробленій системі, визначення і оцінка показників якості керування. Методи. Методи імітаційного цифрового моделювання роботи автоматичної системи керування. Результати. Розроблено систему автоматичного керування процесом ректифікації, що передбачає дискретні і неперервні рухливі керуючі впливи. Дискретні впливи полягають у змінах точки введення живлення в колону; неперервні – в зміні співвідношення витрат потоків живлення, що подаються в верхню і нижню частини установки. Також використовуються традиційні керуючі впливи шляхом зміни витрат теплоносія в випарник куба і зрошування. Оптимальні традиційні і рухливі керуючі впливи розраховуються обчислювальним керуючим пристроєм за нормалізованим критерієм з використанням нелінійної прогнозуючої моделі і реалізуються шляхом впливів на виконавчі пристрої на лініях подачі потоків живлення, зрошування в колону і теплоносія в випарник. Система передбачає використання адекватної математичної моделі, для чого виконується її періодична ідентифікація і здійснюється контроль за ходом процесу шляхом додаткового вимірювання температурного профілю колони, температури і тиску на контрольній тарілці. З метою підтримки матеріального балансу за рідинною і паровою фазами передбачено стабілізацію тиску вверху колони, рівнів в ємностях для збору дистиляту і кубового продукту шляхом зміни витрат холодоагенту в конденсатор, дистиляту і кубового продукту. На прикладі ректифікаційної колони для поділу суміші метанол-вода методами імітаційного цифрового моделювання досліджено працездатність запропонованої системи автоматичного рухливого керування. Збурення полягали у змінах витрати, складу і температури живлення. Висновки. Доведено, що використання розробленої системи дозволяє підвищити техніко-економічні показники процесу ректифікації і поліпшити якість керування. Результати можуть використовуватись в хімічній, нафтохімічній, нафтопереробній, харчовій промисловості для керування та оптимізації процесів бінарної, багатокомпонентної ректифікації.

Improving the control performance of objects with distributed parameters, which include the distillation process, is achievable by using mobile actions. It is known that moving along the column height of the feed point or redistributing a given flow between two contact devices of the apparatus makes it possible to achieve techno-economic indicators of stationary modes unattainable by traditional control. At the same time, transient responses in the column when using mobile actions remained unexplored. To solve this problem, a mathematical model of the dynamics of the distillation process has been developed, taking into account the mobile control actions, and the features of the dynamic modes of operation of the column when using them have been investigated. The model provides for the possibility of implementing disturbances and control actions of various shapes and intensities through several channels simultaneously or at certain points in time. It is established that a new stationary mode is achieved by regulating the pressure at the top of the column, the levels in the tanks to collect the bottom fractions and distillate. The use of PID controllers with actions on the refrigerant flow rate into the condenser and separation products is proposed. The dynamic process model is supplemented by a description of these automatic control loops. Using the developed model, computational experiments are carried out on the example of a column for the separation of a methanol-water mixture. It is proved that transient responses when using mobile control actions on the distillation process are characterized by acceptable quality indicators. The research results are applicable in the construction of systems for automatic mobile control of distillation processes, adaptive, optimal control systems using predictive models.

The article confirms the conclusion about the urgency of the problem of increasing the accuracy of simulation of the processes of servicing mobile testing and diagnostic complexes, which is used in controlling the technical condition of the equipment of radio electronic systems of means of marine transport. The disadvantages of existing measurement control models are that only the influence of the completeness and depth of control on the reliability of the control is taken into account and the quality of maintenance of the most control means that are used in this case is not taken into account. Therefore, an estimation of the readiness coefficient of mobile test and diagnostic complexes for both existing and prospective samples is proposed to be implemented by mathematical modeling of the processes of measuring control of radio-electronic systems with the help of mobile control and diagnostic complexes, which are used at the control of this equipment . The developed simulation model of the influence of the accuracy of the estimation of the availability of mobile control and diagnostic complexes on the reliability of the control of the equipment of radio electronic systems of means of marine transport, which allows to determine the interconnection between the quality of service of the system and the reliability of the determination of the actual technical state of the equipment, is monitored. The article presents an imitation model of the reliability of control of radio electronic systems of means of marine transport. Calculations have shown that increasing the coefficient of homogeneity of mobile control-diagnostic complexes by (1,5–2) % allows to increase the reliability of control of equipment of radio electronic systems of sea transport up to 10 %.

Starting from the characteristics of disruptive innovation and using a structured problem solving method, a lean design methodology to support disruptiveness is proposed in this paper. Lean comes from the fact that the design process is structured to reduce ineffectiveness and maximize value. It combines market analysis with business model innovation and directed system evolution, together with a proposition of ten inventive vectors for provoking disruption of existent technologies in the market. A test of the methodology within the field of technologies for smart buildings is presented.

The current problem in the process of training miners is to ensure the mobility and the ability to perform exercises not only on simulators, but also in real conditions of the mine. Therefore, the software and hardware platform of the training complex should include not only imitators of isolating breathing apparatus for developing proper breathing skills in self-rescuers, but also mobile control systems. This will allow carrying out the learning process in conditions similar to real, will increase usability by eliminating wired data transfer interfaces. In addition, the mobile control system of the simulator monitors the trainee's state indicators in real time in an understandable form for him on a wristband or watch. For the implementation of software and hardware of such system, appropriate structural and functional models were developed, including patterns of interaction between components, data transfer and processing processes. On their basis, a software and hardware implementation of a mobile simulator control system is carried out. The results can be applied in the development of mobile controls in various software and hardware platforms.

When mobile devices entered organizational meetings, there was a flurry of responses that sometimes resulted in misunderstandings. Olivia is a manager who’s trying to adapt to her vice president’s strict rule of “no thumbs under the table.” But her direct boss keeps bugging her while she’s in other meetings. Cedric is a mid-level manager in a global advertising firm who is confident his constant BlackBerry use conveys how productive he is; but the president thinks mobile use in his meetings hinders listening. Four key findings emerge: (1) some managers establish meeting ground rules, while others are not so clear; (2) subordinates using their mobiles in meetings are often oblivious as to how they’re being judged; (3) people often multicommunicate in meetings to essentially be two places at once; and (4) concertive control puts a normative pressure on groups that practically forces them to agree to be always reachable.
