- Abstract
Because of the continuing growth in the numbers of students with disabilities at institutions of higher education (IHEs), there is a greater need for IHEs to provide support programs to meet the diverse needs of these students and to improve their success and engagement. Federal policies and laws mandate that services and accommodations be provided to assist students with disabilities in their experience in higher education. This study examined the support services and accommodations provided for students with disabilities at one IHE. Students were asked to complete a survey regarding which supports and accommodations they used and their perceptions of those support services and accommodations. The data indicated that most students were satisfied or very satisfied with the services and accommodations offered.
