The objective of this study is to evaluate the access to cardiovascular surgery from indexes of the networks in the state of Bahia. For that, we selected hospitalizations for cardiovascular surgery at SIH-SUS, from 2008 to 2018, in the municipalities of Bahia-Brazil. The follow network indices were applied: entry degree, exit degree, exit flow and mean size of the exit edge. For analyses among macro-regions were used the following indicators: (i) hospitalization rate for cardiovascular surgery performed by macro-regions, (ii) proportion of municipalities with zero exit per macro-regions and (iii) size output edge average per macro-regions. The methodology used showed an increase in the rate of cardiovascular surgery from 1.3 in 2008 to 1.97 per 10,000 inhabitants in 2018. There was a lack of concentration of access to hospitalizations for this type of surgery; decrease in the number of municipalities with no record of cardiovascular surgery (24.9%) and also decrease in the distance traveled by users in search of these procedures (18.7%). There have been advances in access to cardiovascular surgery in the state, with significant changes in the pattern of intercities displacement during the historical serie. Initially, the best results, such as the drop in the proportion of municipalities with an exit degree equal to zero and a drop in the average size of the exit edge, were linked to the macro-regions that have within its geographic territory, a reference municipality for carrying out these procedures. As of 2016, there was another change in the patterns of displacement, where the drop in the proportion of municipalities with a degree of exit equal to zero fell, even, for macro-regions that do not have this service within their macro-region. O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar o acesso à cirurgia cardiovascular a partir de índices das redes no estado da Bahia. Para isso, foram selecionadas as internações por cirurgia cardiovascular no SIH-SUS, de 2008 a 2018, dos municípios da Bahia-Brasil. Os índices da rede utilizados foram: grau de entrada, grau de saída, fluxo de saída e tamanho médio da aresta de saída. Para a caracterização da macrorregião foram utilizados os seguintes indicadores: (i) taxa de internações por cirurgia cardiovascular, (ii) proporção de municípios com grau de saída igual a zero e (iii) tamanho médio da aresta de saída.A metodologia utilizada evidenciou o aumento da taxa de cirurgia cardiovascular que passou de 1,3 em 2008 para 1,97 por 10.000 habitantes em 2018; houve desconcentração do acesso às internações à este tipo de cirurgia; diminuição da quantidade de municípios sem registro de realização de cirurgia cardiovascular (24,9%) e também diminuição da distância percorrida por usuários em busca destes procedimentos (18,7%). Houve avanços no acesso à cirurgia cardiovascular no estado, com mudanças significativas no padrão do deslocamento intermunicipal durante a série histórica. Inicialmente, os melhores resultados, como a queda da proporção de municípios com grau de saída igual a zero e queda do tamanho médio da aresta de saída, estavam atrelados às macrorregiões que tem dentro de seu território geográfico um município de referência para realização destes procedimentos. A partir de 2016 houve outra mudança nos padrões de deslocamentos, onde, a queda da proporção de municípios com grau de saída igual a zero caiu, inclusive, para macrorregiões que não tem esse serviço dentro de sua macrorregião.

Nessa pesquisa foi efetuada uma avaliação hidrogeológica do aquífero cárstico Salitre na região de Irecê, através da aplicação de técnicas de estatística multivariada, como Correlação de Pearson, Análise de Redes e Análise dos Componentes Principais (PCA) ou Análise Fatorial em dados hidroquímicos e isotópicos. No PCA foram obtidos 3 fatores que representam a variabilidade dos dados obtidos, bem como sua similaridade e correlação. O Fator 1 é representado por uma associação linear positiva entre as variáveis: cálcio, magnésio, sódio, dureza total, bicarbonato, sólidos totais dissolvidos (STD), condutividade elétrica, cloreto, brometo, sulfato e carbono inorgânico dissolvido. O Fator 2 é definido sobretudo devido às variações de pH e, consequentemente, do bicarbonato presente nas águas subterrâneas da área. O Fator 3 é representado por uma relação direta entre as variáveis: sódio, potássio, condutividade elétrica, cloretos, deutério e oxigênio-18. As variáveis relacionadas ao oxigênio (δ18O) e deutério (δD) demonstraram correlações elevadas entre si e com os demais parâmetros do Fator 3, em função da sua relação com os processos de salinização da área. Dessa forma, pode-se constatar que há um enriquecimento isotópico de Leste para Oeste, sobretudo no setor Norte-Noroeste, coincidente com a direção principal de fluxo na área.

Dados da cidade de Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, que integraram a pesquisa Comportamento, Atitudes, Práticas e Prevalência de HIV e Sífilis entre Homens que Fazem Sexo com Homens em 10 Cidades Brasileiras foram coletados em 2008/2009 numa amostra de 383 HSH por meio da técnica Respondent Driven Sampling (RDS). Análise de redes sociais foi utilizada para investigar as redes de amigos e parceiros sexuais. Também foi avaliada a relação entre o número de conexões (grau), o número de parceiros sexuais e as características sociodemográficas. As redes apresentaram estruturas que facilitam a transmissão do HIV. Porém, estas redes podem ser exploradas para a disseminação de informações sobre a prevenção do HIV e DST, visto que a proximidade e similaridade dos HSH nessas redes podem influenciar comportamentos e atitudes positivas para a prevenção. Apesar da inserção assegurada pelo vestibular, o processo de integração dos cotistas na universidade ainda está por acontecer. No contexto universitário, torna-se preciso conhecer os impactos da adesão ao sistema de cotas e compreender como os atores universitários (professores, funcionários, estudantes) a favor ou contra as cotas têm convivido e quais as consequências deste padrão de interação para a permanência do cotista e a sua inclusão pela comunidade universitária. Estudos capazes de associar mapeamentos das relações entre cotistas e não cotistas e representações sobre a política de cotas podem trazer contribuições interventivas ao problema da integração de estudantes cotistas na universidade, embasando a implementação de ações favoráveis a consolidação deste processo de inclusão. A teoria de Redes Sociais permite compreender elementos estruturais e da dinâmica relacional de atores. Este estudo analisou padrões de interação entre estudantes cotistas e não cotistas em diferentes cursos de graduação da UFBA e a percepção destes sobre a interação e suas influências na vivência acadêmica. Através de um questionário semi-estruturado, foram mapeadas as relações de amizade, informação, lacuna e rejeição entre 1086 estudantes cotistas e não cotistas em cursos da UFBA de alta e baixa concorrência, no primeiro, terceiro e quinto semestres (corte transversal). Foram realizados três grupos focais sobre as cotas na UFBA, no curso e na turma. Os participantes foram estudantes de cursos de alta concorrência da área de humanas. Os resultados indicam maior tendência à separação entre os grupos nos cursos de alta concorrência e nas redes de amizade e informação. Quando observadas por subgrupos, os não cotistas apresentam maior endogenia no grupo, principalmente nos cursos de alta concorrência. Ao refletir sobre a interação entre os dois grupos, a separação na turma é mais percebida pelos alunos cotistas. No discurso dos não cotistas esta distinção aparece com maior frequência em relatos sobre outros cursos e no trato dos professores com alunos cotistas. Em geral os estudantes consideram que é papel da universidade atuar no processo de integração dos alunos e avaliam como relevante explicitar questões veladas no debate sobre políticas afirmativas. Como organização, a universidade precisa gerir a implementação das cotas como uma mudança de cultura organizacional de maneira a viabilizar uma convivência favorável a todos.

The latter are obtained from atomic force microscopy data. The electric field and potential are calculated in a region bounded by the rough PANI surface and a distant plane, both boundaries held at distinct potential values. We numerically solve Laplace's equation subject to appropriate Dirichlet's condition. Our results show that local roughness reveals the presence of specific sharp emitting spots with a smooth geometry, which are the main ones responsible (but not the only) for the emission efficiency of such surfaces for larger deposition times. Moreover, we have found, with a proper choice of a scale interval encompassing the experimentally measurable average grain length, a highly structured dependence of local current density on PLRE, considering different ticks of PANI surfaces.

Reboredo.pdf: 948339 bytes, checksum: afad997349bcb38d2469b8ae21967387 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013 In this paper we analyse price fluctuations with the aim of measuring how long the market takes to adjust prices to weak-form efficiency, i.e., how long it takes for prices to adjust to a fractional Brownian motion with a Hurst exponent of 0.5. The Hurst exponent is estimated for different time horizons using detrended fluctuation analysis–a method suitable for non-stationary series with trends–in order to identify at which time scale the Hurst exponent is consistent with the efficient market hypothesis. Using high-frequency share price, exchange rate and stock data, we show how price dynamics exhibited important deviations from efficiency for time periods of up to 15 min; thereafter, price dynamics was consistent with a geometric Brownian motion. The intraday behaviour of the series also indicated that price dynamics at trade opening and close was hardly consistent with efficiency, which would enable investors to exploit price deviations from fundamental values. This result is consistent with intraday volume, volatility and transaction time duration patterns.

This anisotropy, which can result from several pedological factors that are directly related to soil carbon dynamics, is affected by soil management. In this study, the anisotropies of the spatial variability of soil CO2 emissions and of other soil properties were determined for a sugarcane production area under mechanical harvest, when crop residues are left on soil surface, located in the northeastern part of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The anisotropic characterization of variables was performed by deriving the fractal dimension (DF) from experimental semivariograms calculated at angles of 0°, 45°, 90° and 135° from the between crop line direction (0°). The mean FCO2 was 2.19 μmol m−2 s−1, and values were significantly lower in the 0° direction. A principal component analysis was applied to study soil properties and the first principal component was mainly related to soil physical properties and FCO2. A multiple regression analysis indicated that air-filled pore space (AFPS) was the main factor affecting the spatial variability of FCO2 in all directions. The AFPS DF values were significantly lower in the direction in which sugarcane crops were planted, indicating anisotropy of this property and greater homogeneity in this direction. Even after rainfall, there was no change in the structure of spatial variability as expressed by the values of DF. The results indicate that in sugarcane areas, several factors inherent to soil forming processes and management practices during harvest and seeding were responsible for the observed anisotropy, which affected soil CO2 emissions.

A network node represents a neuron and a network link is included between a pair of nodes whenever their firing rates are correlated. The framework of time varying graph (TVG) is used to deal with a very large number (>30 000) of time dependent networks, which are set up by taking into account correlations between neuron firing rates in a moving time lag window of suitable width. Statistical distributions for the following network measures are obtained: size of the largest connected cluster, number of edges, average node degree, and average minimal path. We find that the number of networks with highly correlated activity in distinct brain areas has a fat-tailed distribution, irrespective of the behavioral state of the animal. This contrasts with short-tailed distributions for surrogates obtained by shuffling the original data, and reflects the fact that neurons in the neocortex and hippocampus often act in precise temporal coordination. Our results also suggest that functional neuronal networks at the millimeter scale undergo statistically nontrivial rearrangements over time, thus delimitating an empirical constraint for models of brain activity.
