The strategic management model generally followed by companies in the internal diagnostic analyzes criteria considered evaluations of a limited group of workers as it lacks a comprehensive, participatory and systemic that considers both the assessments of internal and external audiences. This research work aimed applies a procedure which allows the use of the image as strategic support in the effective management of Cuban hotels adaptable to other international settings. We used a sequence deductive methodology which makes a comprehensive literature review and a methodological sequence used inductive techniques such as quantitative and qualitative research: direct observation, interviews, expert consultation and questionnaire. By this method was possible to make a diagnosis based on exhaustive internal determining factors in the environment of a hotel facility, which make possible to perform more accurate strategic planning. Taking as a case study Cubanacán Hotel "Las Cuevas - La Ronda" were identified strengths and weaknesses as perfectible strong identity and image of the hotel under study. These elements were used to conduct a strategic profile of the hotel more complete basis for the reprocessing of objectives and strategies consistent with the direct action environment of the entity.
