Pencahayaan merupakan salah satu hal krusial untuk dapat berjalannya aktivitas. Pencahayaan dapat dikategorikan baik, jika dapat memenuhi standar kenyamanan visual sesuai tuntutan aktivitas pada ruang. Salah satu aspek yang memengaruhi karakteristik pencahayaan pada sebuah ruang adalah tipologinya, di mana ruang yang luas atau gemuk memiliki area tengah yang lebih sulit dijangkau oleh pencahayaan alami (Anasiru, 2016) sehingga lebih mengandalkan pencahayaan buatan. Meskipun begitu, tipologi ruang gemuk dapat tidak sepenuhnya bergantung pada pencahayaan buatan, karena sudah banyak inovasi dalam memasukkan pencahayaan alami. Dengan begitu, dapat dilakukan penghematan energi untuk pencahayaan pada bangunan. Objek yang ditinjau dalam penelitian ini adalah Pujasera FoodStep, sebuah area komersial pada lantai semi basement Apartemen Parahyangan Residence. Objek penelitian ini yang diisi oleh berbagai gerai makanan dan area duduk. Selain digunakan untuk aktivitas makan juga seringkali digunakan untuk belajar, mengerjakan tugas kuliah, maupun sekadar diskusi. Ruangan yang cukup luas ini memanfaatkan pencahayaan buatan sebagai sumber pencahayaan utama. Terdapat juga bukaan samping dan light well sebagai sumber pencahayaan alami. Aspek kuantitas dan kualitas pencahayaan menjadi penting dalam pemenuhan kenyamanan visual, terutama pada Pujasera yang digunakan sebagai area makan, belajar, dan mengerjakan tugas. Selain itu, sebagai ruangan yang cenderung luas, besar kemungkinan area ini memanfaatkan cahaya buatan sebagai sistem pencahayaan utamanya. Maka dari itu, diperlukan strategi untuk dapat memanfaatkan cahaya alami dari bukaan samping dan lightwell sehingga dapat meringankan beban pencahayaan buatan. Hal ini menjadi semakin penting melihat kondisi eksisting yang seakan tidak memanfaatkan cahaya alami sama sekali, di mana semua lampu dinyalakan sepanjang harinya, pada area – area dekat bukaan sekalipun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tingkat kenyamanan visual pada kondisi eksisting, mencari usulan strategi terkait pencahayaan buatan untuk dapat memenuhi kenyamanan visual, sekaligus strategi kolaborasi antara pencahayaan buatan dengan pencahayaan alami untuk menghemat energi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksperimental, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui simulasi yang dibantu software Dialux Light Wizard, Evo, dan Curic Sun. Lewat penelitian ini, diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan. Pertama, pencahayaan pada kondisi eksisting yang mengandalkan cahaya buatan sebagai penerangan utamanya belum memenuhi standar kenyamanan visual. Kedua, diperoleh hasil desain pencahayaan buatan yang dapat mencapai kenyamanan visual. Ketiga, adalah diperolehnya usulan strategi yang dapat mengkolaborasikan pencahayaan buatan dengan pencahayaan alami. Saran yang dapat diberikan lewat penelitian ini adalah untuk mempertimbangkan peran elemen – elemen lain diluar pencahayaan buatan sebagai aspek yang juga memengaruhi pencahayaan dalam ruang. Elemen yang dimaksud adalah desain dari bukaan samping dan juga lightwell, serta penggunaan material dinding, lantai, dan plafon. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan riwayat mendapat ASI eksklusif terhadap status gizi dan status anemia balita di kecamatan Gegesik kabupaten Cirebon. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dengan jumlah subjek 119 balita. Sebagian besar balita berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan berusia 12-23 bulan. Hanya sedikit balita yang mengonsumsi ASI secara eksklusif, karena mengonsumsi makanan prelakteal, dan mengomsumsi MP-ASI terlalu dini. Sebagian besar balita memiliki status gizi normal berdasarkan indikator BB/U, TB/U, BB/TB, akan tetapi masih terdapat balita dengan berat badan kurang (34,5%) dan berat badan sangat kurang (8,4%), balita stunting (39,5%), serta balita dengan gizi kurang (16%) dan gizi buruk (4,2%). Sebagian besar (89,1%) balita berstatus anemia dan paling banyak memiliki anemia kategori sedang. Hasil uji hubungan Spearman menunjukan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan status gizi dan status anemia balita (p-value >0,05).

Background: Postoperative paralytic ileus is a physiological response of the intestine to surgical stress. However, if this condition lasts more than 3 days, it is pathological. Some factors related to postoperative ileus have been identified, but the results are still confusing. This study aimed to identify risk factors of postoperative ileus following laparotomy for anastomosis and resection of the gastrointestinal tract at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital. Method: This was a retrospective cohort study between January 2019 until July 2020. The subjects were recruited consecutively, which included adult patients who had undergone laparotomic surgery with anastomosis and resection. Data was taken in Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital until the needed samples were fulfilled. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 for Windows. Result: There were 50 subjects aged from 32 to 74 years old in this study. About 62% of subjects were female. Analysis showed a correlation between postoperative ileus occurrence and Age; it also correlates with the operation duration. Multivariate analysis found that patients aged 65 years and older have a 5.96 greater risk of developing postoperative ileus than younger patients (95% CI 1.55-22.99; p=0.010). This study also found that an operation lasting 180 minutes or more had a 6.14 greater risk of postoperative ileus than a shorter surgery duration (95% CI 1.57-24.05; p=0.009). Conclusion: Age over 65 years old and duration of operation more than 3 hours were associated with postoperative paralytic ileus in adult patients who had undergone laparotomy for anastomosis and resection of the gastrointestinal tract. Latar Belakang: Ileus paralitik pasca operasi merupakan sebuah respon fisiologis usus terhadap stress pembedahan. Namun ketika ileus yang terjadi berlangsung lebih dari 3 hari maka kondisi ini masuk dalam kondisi patologis. Beberapa faktor sudah diidentifikasi untuk memprediksi kejadian ileus post operasi namun hasilnya masih ambigu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor risiko ileus paralitik patologis pasca operasi pada populasi pasien laparatomi reseksi dengan anastomosis di RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kohort retrospektif yang berlangsung sejak Januari 2019 hingga Juli 2020. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode konsekutif sampling pada pasien dewasa. Pengambilan data dilakukan di RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah sampai jumlah sampel terpenuhi. Data dianalisis dengan SPSS versi 24 untuk Windows. Hasil: Sebanyak 50 subjek diikutsertakan dalam penelitian ini dengan rentang usia 32 hingga 74 tahun. Sebanyak 62% adalah perempuan. Pada analisis ditemukan adanya hubungan usia dan durasi operasi dengan kejadian ileus post operasi. Pada analisis multivariat ditemukan bahwa usia di atas 65 tahun memiliki risiko mengalami ileus post operasi 5,96 kali lebih besar dibanding usia yang lebih muda (95% IK=1,55-22,99; p=0,010). Selain itu juga ditemukan operasi yang berlangsung selama 180 menit atau lebih memiliki risiko 6.14 kali lebih besar mengalami ileus post operasi dibanding durasi operasi yang lebih singkat (95% IK=1,57–24,05; p=0,009). Simpulan: Usia pasien di atas 65 tahun dan durasi operasi lebih dari 3 jam berhubungan dengan kejadian ileus paralitik patologis paska operasi pada pasien yang menjalani operasi laparotomi dengan reseksi dan anastomosis.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic causes lower physical activity while exercise intensity also decreases. At the same time, the stress level is increasing, causing low physical fitness level. Due to the importance of human health and company cost to increase their employees’ physical fitness level, and with regard to the limited time of office employees, this research aimed to analyze the effect of tele-exercise duration on the fitness level of obese employees. The design of this study was pre-posttest quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this research were male and female obese employees, aged 18-45 years old, from Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company in Jakarta, Indonesia. Subjects then were randomly assigned to a 30-minutes exercise session group (n = 20) or 60-minutes exercise session group (n = 19). Statistical analysis included paired t-test and independent t-test to analyze differences between groups. All aspects of fitness analyzed in this study (strength, flexibility, and cardiorespiratory endurance) were increased in both groups significantly (p0.05). This study showed that tele-exercise, even if it is done in a short period, 30-minute duration, may improve the overall aspect of fitness level significantly for obese employees. Moreover, in this pandemic time, this kind of program is a better alternative than face-to-face, direct exercise intervention.

Female adolescents are at risk of iron deficiency which is known can negatively affect fitness. High-iron rice has been developed through biofortification but there is still lack of evidence regarding its benefit in improving VO2max as a physical fitness indicator. This study aimed to determine impact of high-iron rice intervention towards VO2max value. A total of 18 female students from Al-Falak Bogor Islamic boarding school aged 12-18 years were selected purposively in this quasi-experimental study. High-iron rice contained 50.4 ppm iron provided thrice daily for 4 weeks. A 20 m shuttle run test was conducted to obtain VO2max value. Other data such as food intake, BMI for age, hemoglobin, and serum ferritin were also evaluated. Maternal health during pregnancy is affecting fetal health in the womb and after birth. This study was conducted to see how maternal fasting blood glucose, blood pressure, and amniotic fluid volume in third semester correlate with baby birth weight and length. The design of this research was observasional in cohort program from third trimester pregnancy until delivery. Result showed that the rising of maternal fasting blood glucose in third trimester was predicted to significantly increasing the baby’s birth weight (b= 7,24, p= 0,025). Inversely, the increase in blood pressure during pregnancy had the potential to lower the weight of the baby (b= -13,94, p= 0,058) although not significanty proven in this study. The correlation between maternal amniotic fluid volume had not shown significant results with neither birth length nor weight of the offspring in this study. It is recommended that pregnant women could maintain their health and also conducted regular health checks of blood glucose, blood pressure, and amniotic fluid volume to avoid pregnancy adverse outcomes if detected.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bentuk light shelf terhadap penetrasi cahaya pada gedung perkantoran di kawasan tropis. Menggunakan metode deskriptif eksperimental dengan pendekatan komparatif - kuantitatif. Dalam simulasi digunakan program Velux daylight visualizer 3 untuk mengetahui nilai dari tingkat penetrasi pencahayaan dalam ruangan, dengan kondisi langit overcast. Eksperimen dilakukan dengan membuat delapan bentuk light shelf yang berbeda.Target dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan bentuk light shelf yang efisien untuk memaksimalkan penetrasi cahaya yang masuk pada ruang dalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk dan kemiringan light shelf berpengaruh besar dalam penetrasi cahaya alami. Penggunaan light shelf berbentuk gelombang dapat meningkatkan penetrasi cahaya yang masuk ke dalam ruangan, hal tersebut dikarenakan terdapat lebih banyak bidang pantul pada permukaan light shelf. Light shelf dengan bentuk lengkung cekung dapat meningkatkan penetrasi cahaya. Kemiringan bidang pantul berpengaruh terhadap penetrasi cahaya, semakin besar sudut datang cahaya, semakin lemah cahaya yang dipantulkan.

The workshop on the application of Biology online (on a network) using the internet during the Covid-19 pandemic has been held at SMA Plus Al Wahid, Tasikmalaya Regency. This activity is in the context of a community service program entitled IPB lecturers to serve. The objectives of this activity are: 1) To describe the implementation of an online explanation workshop program for high school level Biology learning, especially those related to viruses and body immunity; 2) Explaining the level of understanding of the workshop participants before and after the presentation of the material; and 3) Explaining the results of the evaluation of participants' satisfaction with the delivery of workshop materials. The workshop was held on September 4, 2020 online using the Zoom application platform. The number of participants who took part in the workshop was 43 people, consisting of students in grades X, XI, and XII in the natural sciences, teachers, and the general public (non-teacher high school employees) from SMA Plus Al Wahid. Only 16 student participants who filled out the pre-test and post-test were used to evaluate this activity. Evaluation of the results of the pre-test and post-test using a one-group pre-test-post-test design using the N gain method or normalized gain analysis. The results of the workshop showed an increase in participants' understanding of the material on the application of Biology by 30.6% and participants showed a satisfaction level of 76.25%.

Background: Postoperative ileus is a complication that may result in the longer duration of stay and decreases the quality of life of patients. Previous studies have found some factors related to postoperative ileus. This study aimed to determine the risk factor of postoperative ileus in laparotomic resection and anastomosis surgery. Methods: Patients who underwent laparotomic resection and anastomosis surgery during January 2019 – July 2020 were included. Postoperative ileus was diagnosed in fourth day after surgery. The variables included in this study are age, gender, BMI, pathology site, duration of surgery, type of anastomosis, length of resection. Result: Fifty laparotomic resection and anastomosis surgery patients were included in this study, 50% of subjects is patients with postoperative ileus. Patient aged 65 years old or older had a higher incidence postoperative ileus (68% vs 28%; RR 2.3 95% CI: 1.23-4.33; p value: 0.010). Study also found duration of surgery 180 minutes or longer also had higher incidence postoperative ileus (79% vs 36%; RR: 2.49 95% CI: 1.20-5.15; p value: 0.010). Conclusion: This study concludes that age 65 years old or older and duration of surgery 180 minutes or longer are significant risk factor to postoperative ileus in laparotomic resection and anastomosis surgery patients.

The high cost of logistics in Indonesia shows the low connectivity formed by the road network and by other modes of transportation. To improve connectivity, the Government is strengthening toll road infrastructure, with a target of reducing travel time on the island's main causeway to 1.9 hours per 100 km, and new toll roads being built and/or operating for 2500 km. Currently, about 27% of toll roads already built require Government support, both in the form of construction support and state capital participation, with the largest proportion on the island of Sumatera. In the long-term development plan, up to 2030, there are 36% of toll roads indicated to require Government support, the majority of which are located on the island of Sumatera. This study discusses the delivery system for the planned toll road construction until 2030. The results show that up to 2030, there are around 36% of toll roads that will be built requiring Government support. Keywords: toll road network; toll roads; connectivity; Government support; delivery system Abstrak Tingginya biaya logistik di Indonesia menunjukkan rendahnya konektivitas yang dibentuk oleh jaringan jalan maupun oleh moda transportasi lainnya. Untuk meningkatkan konektivitas, Pemerintah memperkuat infra-struktur jalan tol, dengan target mengurangi waktu tempuh di jalan lintas utama pulau menjadi 1,9 jam per 100 km, dan jalan tol baru yang terbangun dan/atau beroperasi sepanjang 2500 km. Saat ini, sekitar 27% ruas jalan tol yang dibangun, membutuhkan dukungan Pemerintah, baik berupa dukungan konstruksi maupun penyertaan modal negara, dengan proporsi terbesar berada di Pulau Sumatera. Dalam rencana pem-bangunan jangka panjang, sampai dengan tahun 2030, terdapat 36% ruas jalan tol yang terindikasi membutuhkan dukungan Pemerintah, yang mayoritas berada pada Pulau Sumatera. Pada studi ini dibahas delivery system pada rencana pembangunan jalan tol hingga tahun 2030. Purpose: Obesity is a growing health problem in Indonesia caused by physical inactivity. Meanwhile, employees are a group that is susceptible to obesity as they often have limited time while working sedentarily in front of a desk or computer, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This causes risks of many cardiovascular diseases, obesity and can indirectly cause death. Tele-exercise, a live online video exercise, may be the solution to this problem. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyse the effects of tele-exercise on body weight, BMI, and fat mass percentage as indicators of obesity. Background: In Indonesia, the prevalence of smoking is increasing from year to year and can cause various health problems, such as sleep disorders and affect a person's nutritional status. So, in this study, the relationship between smoking duration, sleep disturbances, and nutritional status in men aged 26–45 years will be investigated using secondary data from the 2014 Indonesia Family Live Survey (IFLS). Methods: The 2014 secondary data from the fifth waves of the IFLS were used for analysis. All 5,379 data of men aged 26–45 years who provided anthropometric, smoking duration, and sleep disorders were included in the study. The Chi-Square test was used to examine the relationship between smoking duration, sleep disorders, and nutritional status in men aged 26 – 45 years. Furthermore, the Multinomial Logistics Regression test is carried out to determine the variables that have the strongest influence. Results: Based on the results of statistical tests conducted, it was found that the majority of respondents had a smoking duration of 11-20 years, of which 27.2% of respondents did not experience sleep disorders and 25.4% had sleep disorders. The nutritional status of respondents with a smoking duration of 11-20 years is normal as many as 35% of respondents and at least 0.5% of respondents have underweight nutritional status with smoking duration

Title: Effectiveness of Daylight Mirror Shafts as Natural Daylighting System for Basements under Tropic Sky Conditions Basements have lots of potential as functional spaces, but have mostly been neglected due to lighting issues. Therefore, this study will explore the daylight mirror shaft system as a daylight strategy for basements, which features the placement of a reflecting surface on a light shaft to redirect daylight. The system was introduced by Heliobus®, a daylighting company from Switzerland. To see the effectiveness of implementing the system in Indonesia, a study was made on its performance on the climate sky condition. Furthermore, a study was made on the effect of different opening orientations and light shaft placements toward the illuminance level achieved. The lighting data was obtained using the simulation softwares Lightstanza. Results show that the performance of the system on climate sky condition can provide sufficient light for 41% of a basement. The use of mirrors on the light shaft could also increase the lighting levels by 2.1 times compared to a shaft without a mirror. Moreover, it was found that different opening orientations and light shaft placements didn’t give a significant effect on the lighting quantity. Overall, the study shows that the system’s implementation on climate skies still require adjustments through further studies to be effective.

BACKGROUND: Inadequate complementary feeding practices are known to contribute to children’s nutritional status. A minimum acceptable diet (MAD) is one of the simple, valid, and reliable indicators to assess complementary feeding practices in 6–23-month-old children on food diversity and meal frequency. Based on the UNICEF data, the MAD of 6–11 months in Indonesia was 26.3% in 2017 and the lowest compared to other groups. Hence, this study research question is posing toward several factors associated with the low MAD among 6–11 months infant. AIM: This study aimed to determine factors associated with MAD in 6–11-month-old children in Indonesia. METHODS: This study was a secondary analysis using the 2017 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey. This is a cross-sectional study involving 17,848 children in Indonesia. Final sample to be analyzed were 1,441 children of 6–11-month-old. Logistic regression model was applied to identify the significant risk factors associated with MAD. RESULTS: The result showed that the prevalence of MAD in this study is 29%. From the multivariate logistic regression, wealth index, television ownership, and mother’s occupation were significantly associated with MAD of 6–11-month-old children in Indonesia. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, factors associated with MAD among 6–11-month-old children were wealth index, television ownership, and mother’s occupation.

Anemia berisiko dialami pada semua kelompok usia terutama wanita usia subur, wanita hamil, anak-anak, dan remaja. Defisiensi besi berhubungan dengan penurunan tingkat kebugaran, khususnya pada wanita. Selain itu status gizi yang baik diperlukan untuk mempertahankan tingkat kebugaran dan kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan status anemia dan status gizi dengan tingkat kebugaran remaja putri di Pondok Pesantren Al Falak Bogor Jawa Barat. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian observasional dengan menggunakan desain cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja putri Pondok Pesantren Al Falak di Kota Bogor Jawa Barat dengan jumlah 43 subjek. Kadar hemoglobin dan feritin serum berasal data sekunder. Status gizi dinilai berdasarkan indikator IMT/U. Tingkat kebugaran subjek diukur dengan menggunakan bleep test. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji statistik korelasi Spearman. Tingkat kebugaran secara signifikan tidak berhubungan dengan status anemia (p=0,622; r=0,077) dan status gizi (p= 0,879; r=-0,024) pada remaja putri. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah status anemia dan status gizi tidak berhubungan dengan tingkat kebugaran remaja putri remaja putri di Pondok Pesantren Al Falak Bogor.

This study aimed to assess SFAs profiles in the maternal and cord blood, and the relationship of both SFAs levels with infant adiposity. As many as 99 mothers with singleton pregnancy and pre-pregnancy BMI .18.5 agreed to join the research and completed the data collection process. Maternal and cord blood erythrocyte SFAs profile was analyzed using Gas Chromatography-Flame Ionized Detector. Infant birth weight was measured at birth, while infant skinfolds were at 5.7 days postpartum. We used Aris et al. (2013) equation to assess the infant fat mass. The average maternal age was 29.62}5.84 years old, while the pre-pregnancy BMI was 22.87}3.90 kg/m2. Infant birth weight was 3168.83}341.64 g, and fat mass was 9.39}3.52 %. Although low birth weight (LBW) is still a major health problem in Indonesia, studies about determinants of LBW with large sample sizes are still limited. This study aimed to examine the association between LBW and maternal characteristics, as well as socio-economic backgrounds in Indonesia. A secondary analysis of 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) was conducted, specifically using the questionnaires for women of childbearing age. A bivariate chi-square analysis and a multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed. As many as 6.7% of infants were born with LBW. Objective: Lipase was protein compounds that can be used for many human activities. Its main function was to degrade fat including 'wrapping' cholesterol which make easily flowed in the blood. The presence lipase was important because can help the digestive healthy. These enzyme can catalyze a variety of reactions including hydrolysis, alcoholysis, esterification and aminolysis. Lipase was utilized in various sectors, such as fat, oil, milk and pharmaceutical industries. This enzyme biosynthesis can be carried out by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Lactobacillus plantarum and Aspergillus niger. Methods: The process through fermentation techniques in lipid containing substrates under optimal conditions required by microorganisms. The fermentation products produced were tested for the presence of lipase enzymes qualitatively and quantitatively. The biosynthesis process can be influence by changes in pH, temperature and the presence of glucose. This study aimed to determine the ability of L. plantarum to produce lipases with vegetables oil substrates. The research used L. plantarum carried out at 37 °C for 24-48 h and pH 6-8 in the vegetable oil substrates. Results: The fermentation products showed hydrolysis reaction to the test media containing oil lipid with lipase levels of 2.708-3.3000 U/ml Conclusion: The results showed that Lactobacillus plantarum can synthesize the lipase enzyme in palm oil and corn oil as substrates.

One of the nutritional problems in Indonesia is Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) among pregnant women, which is the cause of the high maternal mortality rate and low birth weight. This study aims to analyze the risk factors of CED in pregnant women with cross-sectional study design. The subject in this research were 70 pregnant women with and without CED (normal) at Cikembar Health Center Sukabumi district. CED group had less nutrition and health knowledge in comparison to the normal group. The level of energy and protein sufficiency in both groups was generally in the deficit category. Most of the CED group food security was in food insecurity while the normal group was in food vulnerable conditions. Based on the results of logistic regression analysis, it shows that there is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and household food security with the incidence of CED in pregnant women (p 0.05). The multiple logistic regression analysis results indicate that the factor affecting the incidence of CED in pregnant women is household food security. Besides, the level of knowledge of nutrition and health, food consumption, and household food security in CED pregnant women is low or deficit compared to the normal pregnant women.

Demam tifoid adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Salmonella typhi atau Salmonella thyposa dari g enus Salmonella. Gejala penyakit demam tifoid biasanya berkembang dalam 1-3 minggu pasca terpapar bakteri yang ditandai demam tinggi, malaise, sakit kepala, sembelit atau diare, bintik-bintik kemerahan pada dada, serta pembesaran limpa dan hati. Untuk memastikan penyebab demam tifoid pemeriksaan laboratorium mikrobiologi sangat diperlukan. Idealnya adalah test Widal dan kadar leukosit, selain itu perlu diperhatikan juga gejala-gejala klinis seperti suhu tubuh, tingkat kesadaran, nyeri perut, mual atau muntah dan nafsu makan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menilai efektivitas antibiotik yang digunakan pasien yang menderita demam tifoid. Penilaian dilakukan dengan melihat hasil w idal test, kadar leukosit, suhu tubuh, tingkat kesadaran, nyeri perut, mual atau muntah, dan nafsu makan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara terlebih dahulu mengumpulkan data sekunder dari rekam medis pasien, register pasien, dan resep obat pasien yang terdiagnosis demam tifoid yang disesuaikan dengan kriteria inklusi, kemudian secara non-eksperimental dideskripsikan dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian antibiotik terbukti efektif terhadap w idal test sebanyak 8 5 %, terhadap kadar leukosit sebanyak 97%, terhadap suhu tubuh pasien sebanyak 94%, terhadap kesadaran pasien sebanyak 100%, terhadap nyeri perut pasien sebanyak 100%, terhadap mual dan muntah pasien sebanyak 99%, dan terhadap nafsu makan pasien sebanyak 100%.

The aimed to analyze the effect of protein-sourced supplementary foods for pregnant women with CED to improve fetal growth. The pre-post study test involved 44 pregnant women with a Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) of 0.05). Despite the fact that the PG group showed lower compliance compared to the PCG (p>0.05). The findings suggest that our protein-sourced supplementary foods had a similar effect with the GSF on fetal growth of pregnant women with CED.

The research aimed to produce biscuits formulated with Bilih fish and to analyse the effect of Bilih-fish-based biscuits on the growth of experimental rats. Six biscuit formulas were developed using three different amounts of Bilih fish flour (0 g, 20 g, and 30 g added to one formula dough) and two flavors (chocolate and vanilla). One biscuit formula was selected based on the best organoleptic test. Four treatments were applied to 24 male growing rats (21 day olds of the Spraque Dawley strain) for 28 days using a completely randomized design study. The treatments used were P1 (standard feed), P2 (standard feed + standard biscuits), P3 (standard feed + standard biscuits + pure omega-3 oil) and P4 (standard feed + the best formula biscuit). The parameters measured on rats were weight and tail length. The best formula biscuit based on the organoleptic test was the chocolate-flavor biscuits prepared with 20 g Bilih fish flour. The longest tail length was found in the P4 treatment (2,257±0.52 cm), which was significantly longer than the P2 (1.46±0.34 cm) and P1 (1.34±0.29 cm) treatments. No significant weight differences were found among the rats in all treatments. Hence, the chocolate-flavor biscuits formulated with the addition of 20 g Bilih fish flour increased the linear growth in experimental rats as shown by the significant difference in the tail lengths found in the treatment group.

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus has become a global public health problem, characterized by increased intake of western style diets and decline in physical activities which are pro-inflammatory. Food diversity, nutrient profile, glycemic index and lower content of salt sugar and Tran’s fat are an important consideration for a healthy anti-inflammatory diet which may be advised for prevention of diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). This clinical observation aims to examine the effects of a millets based functional food rich intervention diet on coronary risk factors among subjects with known diabetes. Method: After permission from the review board of a hospital, hospital records of 65 subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus were drawn for this study. Of 65 patients with diabetes, 5 were excluded and remaining 60 were administered millet-based functional food rich intervention diet (millets 60%, soya bean 20%, brown rice 10%, peanuts 8% and flex seeds 2%). Clinical data, dietary intakes and physical activity were assessed by validated questionnaires. Blood pressures were measured by sphygmomanometer. Result: Treatment with millet based intervention diet for 12 weeks was associated with a significant decline in fasting and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, HbA1c indicating that this diet can prevent diabetes. Total cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol and triglycerides showed a significant decline compared to baseline levels. Pro-inflammatory cytokines; C-reactive proteins, TNF-alpha and interleukin-6 also showed significant reduction after treatment with intervention diet compared to baseline levels. In association with these changes, there was a significant decline in systolic and diastolic blood pressures, parameters of oxidative stress; TBARS, MDA and diene conjugates with an increase in antioxidant vitamins; A,E and C and beta-carotene. Since 2016, Indonesia has been implementing a weekly iron-folic acid supplementation (WIFAS) program in two provinces for school going adolescent girls to reduce anaemia. This study aimed to explore the awareness and understanding of school-going adolescent girls and parents regarding anaemia and WIFAS. The study was conducted in 10 districts, each from East Java province and East Nusa Tenggara province. Twenty focused group discussions (FGDs) were conducted with school-going adolescent girls (n=174) and ten FGDs with parents (n=66). Also, in-depth interviews (IDIs) were conducted with school-going adolescent girls (n=20) and their parents (n=10) from 20 schools. All FGDs and IDIs were audio-recorded, transcribed verbatim, and analyzed for themes using NVivo Pro 12 software. School going adolescent girls and parents had high levels of misinformation about anaemia and healthy nutritional practices, which were influenced by socio-cultural milieu and local dietary habits. Both parents and girls perceived low risk of anaemia for school-going adolescent girls. Girls stated that their parents' opinion about anaemia influenced their desire to consume iron supplements. In conclusion, girls and parents would benefit from increased access to information about anaemia risks and prevention, and the benefits of WIFAS for adolescent girls. Prevention of anemia should include relevant dietary guidance that considers their socio-cultural milieu and local dietary habits.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran peranan komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan Kepala Sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMK Bina Rahayu Depok. Metode Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara kepada 7 orang informan. Sample ditentukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan data-data yang ditemukan kemudian disusun dengan sistematis lalu ditarik kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukan peran komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah di SMK Bina Rahayu Depok sudah berjalan dengan baik, komunikasi organisasi kepala sekolah dapat mempengaruhi setiap kinerja guru berdasarkan peraannya sebagai informatif, regulatif, persuasif,ndan integratif berupa salauran informasi, perintah, tugas, masukan, arahan serta aturan yang diberikan kepada semua guru pengajar agar tujuan pendidikan dapat tercapai.
