The results of a study of the optical, electrophotographic and holographic parameters of As-Se condensates from the prehistory of the original bulk materials are presented. It has been established that the electrophotographic parameters of freshly deposited As40Se60 layers change significantly with temperature; the dependences of the maximum charging potential (U0) and the half-decay time of the potential (τ1/2) of electrophotographic As40Se60 layers in the dark on the processing temperature of the melt of the starting material are shown. The dependence of the half-life of the potential in the dark, as well as the properties of bulk samples, has an extremum in the region of Tsub~500°C. The correlation between the dependences of the properties of bulk samples and the electrophotographic parameters of the layers on Tsub indicates that the structural features of the source material in the deposition mode used affect the structure of the films.

Today we know that the heroic epos "Edigey" remained among the Turkic people living in the south from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to Siberia, as well as in foreign countries: Turkey and Romania. "Edigey" epos has more than 40 versions, some of which consist of fifteen or sixteen thousand lines. Therefore, a narrow study is not enough for in-depth analysis of the nature of the epic. The archaic and contemporary versions of the epic, the diversity of its national versions contribute significantly to the study of the dynamics of the epic tradition of literature of Turkic-speaking people. The general laws of these phenomena in science were determined through a comparative analysis. However, a similar study of national versions of the epic, in our opinion, is currently being implemented or not implemented not so often. The development of this topic also meets the objectives of the state program "Cultural Heritage". "Edigey" epic allows us to consider the main literary traditions of the Turks, which connect real historical events and personalities, with fictitious hyperbolized scenes. It reveals the attitude of Turkic people to described historical realities, shows the impact of these events on the worldview of the Turks.

The importance of the study of social education of the individual as an integral process covering all stages of human development, supported by factors of modern development of children, adolescents, youth in the conditions of reforming education. Currently, the scientific literature has accumulated a sufficient fund of theoretical knowledge, describing the essence of the process of socialization. However, analysis of numerous concepts of socialization shows that there is no single overarching theory of socialization. The greatest effect on the social personality formation provides an educational institution, the teaching staff opinion and the coeval's influence. This underlines the particular social formation, and its distinction from the other educational concepts. Social Education provides a comprehensive personal development in a multicultural world condition.

Ganoderma lucidum, used in a traditional Chinese medicine, represents one of the most important medicinal mushrooms in the world, whose fruiting bodies and spores have been traditionally used because of a wide spectrum of biological activities such as antidiabetic, antioxidative, antiproliferative, cardioprotective, etc. Its ethnomedicinal importance in some parts of the Balkan region (Serbia and Croatia) is almost totally unknown and there should be more scientific investigations carried out. The aim of this work was to make a comparative study of antioxidative activities and total phenolic content of ethanol and hot water extracts of G. lucidum, collected from forests in Serbia (Morovićke šume, Fruška Gora) and Croatia (Donji Lapac, Plješevica). The present study was carried out to evaluate antioxidant potential of examined extracts via scavenging potential on ABTS, DPPH, OH∙ and NO∙ radicals, as well as of chelating effects via FRAP assay, together with determination of their total phenolic content. Results showed that both GLS extracts possessed better antiradical activities (IC50=0.23±0.01 for H2O and 2.75±0.01 μg/mL for EtOH for OH∙ and DPPH assay, respectively) than in the ABTS assay (151.40±1.07 mg TE/g d.w. for EtOH), while the phenolic content was generally equal in extracts of Serbian and Croatian samples (60.74±0.57 mg GAE/g d.w. for EtOH and 77.10±0.27 mg GAE/g d.w. for H2O, respectively). Therefore, these extracts could be considered as a good source of natural antioxidants. These results showed that examined G. lucidum extracts (especially Н2О) contain high amount of phenolic content which could significantly enhance the antiradical potential and reduce potential on iron ions. This is the first study reporting the comparison of antioxidant activities and phenolic contents of two different extracts between two G. lucidum strains from two different geographical origins from the Balkan region. Green infrastructure designed to address urban drainage and water quality issues is often deployed without full knowledge of potential unintended social, ecological, and human health consequences. Though understood in their respective fields of study, these diverse impacts are seldom discussed together in a format understood by a broader audience. This paper takes a first step in addressing that gap by exploring tradeoffs associated with green infrastructure practices that manage urban stormwater including urban trees, stormwater ponds, filtration, infiltration, rain gardens, and green roofs. Each green infrastructure practice type performs best under specific conditions and when targeting specific goals, but regular inspections, maintenance, and monitoring are necessary for any green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) practice to succeed. We review how each of the above practices is intended to function and how they could malfunction in order to improve how green stormwater infrastructure is designed, constructed, monitored, and maintained. Our proposed decision-making framework, using both biophysical (biological and physical) science and social science, could lead to GSI projects that are effective, cost efficient, and just.

COVID-19 has impacted adolescent mental health due to multifarious effects from this pandemic. This study aims to survey how adolescents in Tacoma, Washington have been affected mentally by COVID-19. A survey consisting of 21 different questions based on the DASS-21 scale was conducted in order to assess symptoms of depression and anxiety. In addition, the survey asked participants at the end to give a short description about how the pandemic has impacted them mentally. Overall, there were 124 high school students who participated in the survey with the majority of them being students in 10th and 11th grades. This study showed that multiple students experienced extremely severe levels of stress, anxiety, and depression, from the 2020 quarantine. Overall, the pandemic has had multiple adverse effects on youth and adolescent mental health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cinsel saldırılar dünyadaki suçların en kritiklerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Türkiye’de ırza geçme suçu bütün suçlar içinde yılda % 3’lere yaklaşan bir oran göstermektedir. Daha da önemlisi, cinsel saldırı olaylarının yarıdan fazlası resmi kayıtlara geçmemekte ve tutuklanmış faillerin çok azı hüküm giymektedir. Çünkü saldırıya uğrayanlar genellikle toplum tarafından kötü gözle bakılma ya da suçlanma endişesiyle olayı polise ve yargıya bildirmeyip, gizli tutmayı tercih etmektedir. Öte yandan delillerin belirlenmesinde, toplanmasında, paketlenmesinde ve korunmasında kullanılacak doğru yöntemlerin bilinmemesi ya da az bilinmesi de mahkemede bu adli incelemeyi zorlaştırmakta ve neticesiz kalmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu sorun sağlık çalışanlarının, mağdurun muayenesi ve delil alınması konusunda yeterli ve uygun bir eğitim almadığı için meydana gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bir olguda destekleyici delillerin alınma ihtimalini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmış bir araştırmanın sonuçları mevcuttur. Bunun için Türkiye’de rasgele seçilmiş 543 sağlık çalışanlara güncellenmiş bir anket uygulandı. Belirli kriterler göz önüne alındığında, bulgular adli tıp incelemelerinde bilgi eksikliğinin önemli bir yer tuttuğunu gösterdi. Yapılan karşılaştırmada, bir yarıyıl temel adli hemşirelik dersini almış olanların, diğerlerine göre, teorik olarak daha bilgili olduğu sonuçları görülmüştür. Bu da, bu alanda profesyonel olarak çalışmak isteyenlerin, iyi bir eğitimden geçmeleri gerektiğini göstermektedir. Sonuçlara dayanarak, SANE’nin gerekli olduğu gösterilmiştir. Adli hemşireliğin bu özelleşmiş alanından cinsel saldırı olguları ile ilgilenen yeni bir profesyonellik alam doğmuştur: Cinsel saldırı konusunda çalışan adli hemşire (SANE). SANE yalnız başına kapsamlı bir tıbbi bakımı ve adli delillerin toplanmasını sağlayabilecek niteliğe sahip olması için gerekli yoğun eğitimi almış hemşiredir. SANE modelinin öncelikli hedefi iyi eğitim almış tek bir profesyonelin verimli, tutarlı ve nitelikli bir sağlık hizmetini ve delil toplama işlemini gerçekleştirmesini mümkün kılmaktır. Bu, zorlu mahkeme süreçlerinin sürüncemelerine karşı koyabilecek, sorumlu ve başarılı bir delil toplama sürecinin oluşturulmasında bir ilk adım olacaktır.
