Статья посвящена изучению процесса подготовки студентов социально-культурной сферы посредством иностранного языка, в рассмотрении праздничных традиций Пасхи в Великобритании с целью углубления социокультурных знаний будущих специалистов социально-культурной деятельности и повышения мотивации к изучению языка.

Данная статья рассматривает важность преподавания культуры стран изучаемого языка как неотъемлемой части обучения иностранному языку. Акцент на важности преподавания культуры делается в соответствии с современными взглядами на коммуникативную природу языка. Преподаватели иностранного языка, несомненно, должны давать студентам знания об обычаях, религии, возможных культурных табу, невербальной коммуникации и других значимых деталях изучаемой страны.

В статье рассматриваются изменения современного английского языка под влиянием глобальной сети Интернет и веб-пространства. Процесс глобализации, развитие экономики, научные открытия, появление уникальных информационных технологий приводят к пополнению и существенному изменению лексики английского языка. В современном мире под влиянием Интернета зарождается новая разновидность английского языка.

В статье были рассмотрены особенности, роль аутентичных видеоматериалов в преподавании английского языка; влияние аудиовизуальных материалов на мотивацию студентов изучать иностранный язык; преимущества и основные способы внедрения таких материалов для изучения и преподавания английского языка. Авторами рассмотрены критерии и подходящие источники отбора видеоматериала, некоторый алгоритм внедрения аутентичных видеоматериалов, которые могут быть использованы в процессе преподавания и обучения иностранному языку на разных уровнях образования.

Aim. To study the quality of life and symptoms, to assess the clinical effect and treatment safety in relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma (r/r cHL) patients treated with brentuximab vedotin (BV) as > 3rd-line therapy in the context of real clinical practice. Materials & Methods. The study enrolled 62 r/r cHL patients after the second- and subsequent-line chemotherapies, who are either ineligible for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT) at the time of their enrollment into the study or after the failure of high-dose chemotherapy (HDCT) with auto-HSCT. The median age was 31 years; 46.8 % of patients were women. The patients received BV 1.8 mg/kg intravenously every 3 weeks. Clinical parameters, quality of life, and symptoms were assessed prior to BV therapy and in 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 months after therapy onset. The RAND SF-36 form was used to assess the quality of life, and the ESAS-R tool was applied to report on symptoms. Results. Objective response was observed in 68.3 % of patients, 40 % out of them showed complete response. The median progression-free survival was 10.6 months (95% confidence interval 7.4-12.9 months). Safety profile corresponded to the published data. Adverse events of grade 3/4 were identified in 1.6 % of patients. In the period of 15 months after therapy onset, quality of life improvement or stabilization was reported based on all the scales of RAND SF-36 (GEE, p < 0.001), and symptom relief was shown based on ESAS-R total score (GEE, p < 0.001). Conclusion. In the context of real clinical practice, BV appeared to be effective in r/r cHL patients either after the second- or subsequent-line chemotherapies or after the failure of HDCT with auto-HSCT. The study demonstrated that BV was well tolerated by the patients. BV therapy contributes to the improvement of r/r cHL patients’ quality of life. Positive changes in quality of life and symptoms on BV therapy testify to its patient-assessed efficacy and safety.

Авторы предлагают этапы работы с использованием полевого метода и дают свои обоснования эффективности применения данного метода работы с иноязычной лексикой.

Cerebral palsy is the main cause of disabilities among diseases of nervous system in childhood. According to the World Health Organization, the number of children born with cerebral palsy is 3-4 cases per 1000. The birth of a child with disabilities causes disorder of the normal course of family's life and often leads to disruption of relationships in the family. The reason is a huge psychological burden that the child's family members have to carry.The purpose of the research is to study the psychological features of parents raising children with cerebral palsy. Research methods are interviewing, testing (test for anticipatory competence by Mendelevich; Inclination to dependent behavior method by Mendelevich; Beck Depression Inventory; The Quality of Life Assessment inventory (SF-36 Health Status Survey); inventory of the emotional relations in the family by Zakharova; parental attitude inventory by Schaefer and Bell (PARI method). Experimental group included 25 parents of children with cerebral palsy who were undergoing rehabilitation at the center for children and adolescents with disabilities. Control group consisted of 25 parents raising children without neurological and somatic pathologies in one of Kazan educational institutions.The research results showed that parents raising children with cerebral palsy perform a reduced level of communication and insufficient ability to anticipate life events and situations. Parents of both groups have an increased tendency to addictive behavior, a high focus on psychoactive substances use and an increased risk of developing psychological dependence on psychoactive substances. Parents of children with cerebral palsy have a higher level of depression than parents of the control group. Parents of children with cerebral palsy show decreased activity and deterioration of health in general; their physical activity is limited by the actual state of health compared to the control group. The interests of mothers of children with cerebral palsy are limited only to the interests and concerns of the family and they tend to feel maternal self-sacrifice. The results of the study can be used to enhance parent-child relationships and the adaptation process.

The aim of this study is to identify the self-relationship and family attitudes and values correlation of professing Islam (practicing Muslims) and secular, ethnic Muslims in adolescence. The leading methods of this problem study are the theoretical analysis of scientific psychological literature as well as the empirical research method (testing), using techniques that allow to diagnose self-relationships, family attitudes and values. The experiment involved 100 people: 50 men religiously practicing Muslims, 50 - ethnic Muslims. The average age of the subjects is 18 - 23 years old. The study concludes that practitioners and ethnic Muslims have high self-relationship results in the components of "self-confidence", "self-esteem", "self-acceptance", "self-guidance." For religiously practicing Muslims there is no "internal conflict"; ethnic Muslims have high "internal conflict". The study of family attitudes revealed for both groups a strong focus on mainly joint activities in all areas of family life and a less loyal attitude to divorce, as well as for religiously practicing Muslims the importance of children's role in family life. Ethnic Muslims are characterized by personal identification with their spouse, social activity. The emotional and psychotherapeutic side of the family is important for them. And for practicing Muslims parent-educational attitude, personal identification with a spouse, and emotional-psychotherapeutic attitude are important. The study of terminal values has highlighted the importance of spiritual satisfaction, achievements, self-development for ethnic and practicing Muslims, as well as the importance of high material position for ethnic Muslims. Among life spheres, professional life and training are important for Muslims, for ethnic Muslims - the sphere of interests. The materials of this paper can be used by psychologists in working with students at Universities, Madrassas, Sunday and secondary schools. The relevance of the problem is due to the insufficient development of the correlation concept of self-relationship and family attitudes and values in adolescence (for example, ethnic and practicing Muslims). Despite there are many research options and methods for measuring it in this direction. The research materials are of practical value for psychological and pedagogical support in the educational process, as well as in the advisory work of young people who adhere to religious beliefs, observe the canons of Islam, or do not adhere to religious canons. The scientific novelty of the research problem and its originality is specified by the interest of self-consciousness, self-determination in adolescence, and family attitudes and values in the context of religious affiliation. Since juvenile period is a sensitive indicator of ongoing changes and determines the entire potential of the society development, the future of the society consequently depends greatly on the value foundation of the younger generation.

The article presents the relationship of investment activity in the industry and the growth of recognition of the Republic of Tatarstan as a brand. An analysis of investment activity in the industry is based on statistics from the Bank of Russia, the Federal State Statistics Service, and its Territorial Authority for the Republic of Tatarstan, the United Nations Trade and Development Commission, and departmental data. The presence of a developed industry in Tatarstan provides the republic with the opportunity to use the results and potential of the industry to promote the region. At the same time, processing industries prevail over other areas of economic activity in terms of investment in fixed assets. The republic uses high investment activity in the industry for promotion. And such investment activity gives a synergistic effect in the form of a constant influx of new business partners.

The article is devoted to the study of anticipatory (prognostic) skills in adolescents with limited possibilities of health. The paper presents a theoretical review of domestic and foreign studies of the anticipation phenomenon. The study involved participants aged 13–15 with severe speech disorders and cerebral palsy with safe intellect – students of Kazan educational institutions. The methods used in the study: observation, conversation, method of testing (“prognostic ability” methodology by L.A. Regush), mathematical methods of data processing. Within the factor model of structure of the ability to predict (L.A. Regush), it was detected that such qualities of thinking as analyticality, perspectivity, awareness, flexibility, and argumentativeness are particularly evident in adolescents. Their combination and manifestation allowed to detect differences in the ability to predict (anticipation) in adolescents with severe speech disorders and infantile cerebral palsy.

There is a continued unmet medical need in pts with relapsed/refractory Hodgkin's lymphoma (RR HL). Curing HL pts who have refractory disease after salvage chemotherapy, who relapse after ASCT, or those who are not candidates for ASCT, remains a clinical challenge due to limited effective treatments. There are data available indicating that brentuximab vedotin (BV) brings considerable promise for the treatment of pts with RR HL. Information about BV treatment effectiveness and tolerability both from physician's and patient's perspective is worthwhile in this difficult patient population. We aimed to evaluate clinical and patient-reported outcomes in RR HL patients receiving BV as >2nd treatment line. Here we report the outcomes with respect to clinical response, tolerability, quality of life (QoL) and symptoms after 3 mos of BV treatment. The total number of pts to be included in the multicenter observational real-world study is 70 pts with RR HL who received BV 1.8 mg/kg q3w till disease progression, intolerance toxicity of BV or refusal. Treatment response was assessed using RECIST criteria v. 1.0. Adverse events (AEs) were assessed in accordance with NCI CTCAE v. 4.03. For QoL assessment pts filled out RAND SF-36, for symptom assessment - ESAS questionnaire; also pts filled out PGIC scale for self-assessment of changes in their health. For QoL analysis paired t-test, Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon test and χ2 were used. The analysis was performed in the group of 55 pts RR HL (median age - 28 years, range 18-67, 54.5% males) who were involved in the study: 63.6% pts had advanced stage (III-IV) at diagnosis; ≥50% pts had B-symptoms (58.2%); 82% pts - ECOG 0-1. All the pts received a median of 3 previous treatment lines; among them 14 pts (25.5%) failed to ASCT in the past; half of pts were primary chemotherapy resistant (49%). Before BV treatment start QoL was dramatically worsened for all SF-36 scales (p70% pts) symptoms were drowsiness, tiredness, anxiety, and worse wellbeing. More than half pts had moderate-to-severe drowsiness,tiredness, depression, lack of appetite and worsened wellbeing before BV treatment start. After 3 mos of BV treatment objective response was registered in 55% pts with 27.5% complete response. Adverse events of grade I-II were reported in 8 pts (20%) and were consistent with known toxicities. Most common adverse events (≥10%) were increasing ALT and AST (each 4/8), peripheral neuropathy, fatigue, skin itch (each 3/8). Severe adverse event (III grade) not related with BV occurred in one patient (2.5%) - sepsis, respiratory insufficiency due to agranulocytosis (BV was temporary stopped). During BV treatment meaningful QoL improvement was revealed for all SF-36 scales (p20.0). The severity of the vast majority of symptoms excluding depression significantly decreased during 3 mos of treatment (p The first results obtained in this multicenter observational real world study demonstrate notable activity of BV as a treatment modality for RR HL. BV showed a safety profile consistent with known toxicities. BV treatment was accompanied with dramatic QoL improvement and significant decrease of symptom burden already after 3 mos of treatment. Evaluation of BV treatment outcomes both from physician's and patient's perspective may provide unique information which will be helpful in decision making for patients with RR HL. Исследователи дали несколько примеров использования НЛП в деятельности некоторых политиков, таких как Борис Ельцин, Владимир Жириновский и Дональд Трамп., the article is devoted to the Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and its meaning in the practice of political PR. The authors reveal the essence of NLP and the reasons why politicians use them in their activities. As it is closely connected with psychology and can be referred to the manipulation technology, NLP tends to develop mechanisms that can improve the communication efficiency. The authors gave some examples of using NLP in the activity of some politicians like Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Donald Trump.

This article reveals results of the empirical research of coping-strategies with a conflict situation of adolescents prone to the deviant behaviour. Means and standard deviations for the coping-strategies of adolescents’ behaviour prone to the deviant behaviour between groups of boys and girls were revealed in this article. Adolescents equally used all strategies for coping with conflict situations. Coping strategies of adolescents’ behaviour decreasing and increasing the ability to form their deviant behaviour were determined.

The relevance of the researched issue is determined by the fact that adolescents are one of the most vulnerable groups of society. This is confirmed by suicide statistics (suicide numbers are the highest among teenagers). The article’s objective is to study the connection between parenting relationships and suicidal tendencies among adolescents. Leading methods of the study are the theoretical analysis of scientific psychological literature and empirical research (testing), with the use of techniques that allow to detect suicide behavior and ways to overcome difficult situations in various areas (coping mechanisms, coping strategies), as well as mind-sets and parents’ education. The article reveals that adolescents with high suicidal risk are more likely to actualize all types of suicidal intent in their behavior than adolescents with low suicidal risks. A group of adolescents with high suicidal risk uses non-adaptive coping strategies, while those with a low suicidal risk have a wider repertoire of coping strategies. The risk of teenagers’ suicide behavior is more often caused by inharmonious relationship with their mother rather than their father. The materials of the article are of practical value for the psychological and pedagogical support in students’ education, as well as to the advisory work on parenting relationships issues.

Not only does the addition of halloysite improve the mechanical properties of the composites, but the clay also has a hollow lumen that allows for functionalization of the matrix by the extended release and adsorption of practical molecules. Applications such as extended drug release, protein immobilization, anti-corrosion, and flame retardation are only some of the realized uses for this versatile nanotube. Molecules can be selectively adsorbed inside or outside of the tube by charge or by selective surface modification of the tubes. Various parameters such as calcination, pre-treatment with polymers, and acid-base selective etching can further extended the usefulness of the tubes by allowing minute control of porosity, adsorption capacity and release kinetics. On average, a molecule can be loaded at 5-15% (w/w) efficiency and released over a period of hours to days without any treatment. By adding stoppers to the tubes or embedding them into polymeric matrix, release can often be extended to weeks or months. The tubes are also biocompatible which enables their use in biomedical applications.

This stabilized emulsion is shown to enable efficient interfacial catalytic reactions. Yield, selectivity, and product separation can be tremendously enhanced, e.g., for the hydroformylation reaction of dodecene to tridecanal. In perspective, this type of formulation may be used for oil spill dispersions. The key elements of the described formulations are clay nanotubes (halloysites) which are highly anisometric, can be filled by helper molecules, and are abundantly available in thousands of tons, making this technology scalable for industrial applications.

It is proposed that patients with heart failure may have not only myocardial dysfunction, but also a reduced regenerative capacity of stem cells. However, very little is known about bone marrow stromal cell (BMSC) characteristics in heart failure and its comorbidities (obesity and/or diabetes). We hypothesized that metabolic alterations associated with the latter will be reflected in altered expression of key genes related to angiogenesis, inflammation, and tissue remodeling in patient-derived BMSCs. Natural halloysite clay tubules were studied for their potential use as miniature biocompatible containers that can be loaded with antiseptics followed by their slow and controlled release. Brilliant green was loaded into 15 nm diameter halloysite lumen at 15 wt% and provided sustained release over six hours. Formation of a benzotriazole–copper coating on halloysite nanotubes allowed additional encapsulation providing for more sustained release from 50 to 200 hours. Antibacterial efficiency of the brilliant green in clay nanotubes was tested on Staphylococcus aureus cultures and antibacterial action extended up to 72 hours was demonstrated. Sustained release of amoxicillin and iodine from halloysite tubes was also demonstrated.
