Abstract Despite increasing scholarly interest in tertiary student perceptions of plagiarism, very little is known about those held by postgraduate (PG) students, although differences between undergraduate (UG) and PG students relate to both their characteristics and the demands of their studies. Furthermore, there is a dearth of research within the context of international education, where managing plagiarism is seen as a major challenge. This paper reports on a recent online survey with 207 Vietnamese (n = 72) and local (n = 135) PG students at a New Zealand university regarding their perceptions of plagiarism. The findings showed significant differences both between and within the two groups. Perception variations arose from a range of influences and prior experiences, not just the culture in which the students were initially educated. Differences related to participants’ age, gender, academic levels, disciplines, and teaching experience. This study’s findings contribute knowledge about under-researched PG students and problematize prevalent stereotypes of international students regarding plagiarism. They generate implications for higher education institutions to accommodate international and domestic PG student needs in ways that respect their diversities in detail as individuals, not as members of a homogeneous group. Further qualitative research to explore PG student perceptions in greater depth is recommended.

The trabecular meshwork (TM) route is the principal outflow egress of the aqueous humor. Actin cytoskeletal remodeling in the TM and extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition increase TM stiffness, outflow resistance, and elevate intraocular pressure (IOP). These alterations are strongly linked to transforming growth factor-β2 (TGFβ2), a known profibrotic cytokine that is markedly elevated in the aqueous humor of glaucomatous eyes. Sigma-1 receptor (S1R) has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in the retina, but data are lacking about its role in the TM. In this study, we identified the presence of S1R in mouse TM tissue and investigated the effect of an S1R agonist fluvoxamine (FLU) on TGFβ2-induced human TM cells regarding cell proliferation; ECM-related functions, including F-actin reorganization; and the accumulation of ECM elements. TGFβ2 increased the proliferation, cytoskeletal remodeling, and protein levels of fibronectin, collagen type IV, and connective tissue growth factor, and decreased the level of matrix metalloproteinase-2. Most importantly, FLU reversed all these effects of TGFβ2, suggesting that S1R agonists could be potential candidates for preserving TM function and thus maintaining normal IOP.

Uterine tumor resembling ovarian sex cord tumor (UTROSCT) is a rare indolent stromal neoplasm of unclear histogenesis with a distinct histopathological entity. Immunophenotypes of sex cord positivity are the most significant information to confirm the diagnosis. We present the case of a 61-year-old female with a polypoid mass in the uterus which was successfully removed by surgical resection as hysterectomy. The pathological diagnosis was UTROSCT, which was characterized microscopically by sex cord images and immunohistochemical features of calretinin, CD99, and WT1 positivity.

Using a sample of 248 firms on Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City stock exchanges, we shows that education level and tenure of the CEOs do not have any impact on the performance of Vietnamese firms. However, when the CEOs hold the undergraduate degree, tenure has a positive impact on the performance of Vietnamese firms. Firms with female CEOs realize a significantly lower operation efficiency compared to that of firms with male CEOs. Moreover, splitting CEO and chairperson roles has a positive impact on the performance of Vietnamese firms.

Tourism is one of the key industries for economic development in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular. This has great significance in contributing to attracting Asian tourists to the Mekong delta and the tourism development of the Mekong delta. The aim of this study is to analyze the the impact of electronic social media on Asian tourists' decision choose the Mekong delta to be a tourist destination decision. The subjects of this study are Asian tourists visiting 13 cities in the Mekong Delta. Based on the survey data with 610 Asian visitors to cities in the Mekong delta in 2022 collected using convenience sampling method, results from the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) show that four factors of electronic social media including word-of-mouth, electronic usergenerated content, electronic destination Marketing strategies, social media influencer have a postive effect on the destination image & the tourist destination decidion. Moreover, destination image also has a possitive effect on the tourist destination decision. Finally, some implications are also suggested to attract Asian tourists to the Mekong delta.
