- Abstract
The Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman and Luminescence for Organics and Chemicals (SHERLOC) instrument is a deep UV laser based spectrometer that is part of NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover. The laser is a pulsed 248.6 nm NeCu hollow cathode gas discharge laser. The design, development, and testing of lasers and laser power supplies (LPS) were performed by scientists and engineers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and Photon Systems Inc. (PSI). While these lasers had been used previously in extreme terrestrial environments, before they had to be qualified for operation and functionality over the expected range of environmental situations (temperature cycling, vibration, mechanical shock, low pressure corona emission testing) over the course of mission life time. The SHERLOC laser/LPS testing facilities consisted of custom-tailored environmental test chambers with metrology/control electronics. A custom LabVIEW software package was developed to autonomously operate all test facilities using a multi-threaded, object-oriented programming architecture, tasked with interfacing with many instruments simultaneously for operation and data acquisition.

JOHN MILLER, ED and JOHN MILLER, ED
- Abstract
Autores recogidos en esta antología: James Payn - W. Speight - W. Jacobs - Hjalmar Söderberg - Mary Raymond Shipman Andrews - Jun'ichirō Tanizaki - Saki - John Chilton - Albert Payson Terhune - Arthur Tuckerman - Heimito von Doderer - Frederick Ames Coates - William E. The gospel of John uses the Greek work 'apchih,' usually translated as 'beginning,' in much the sense of the similar Hebrew term that begins Genesis. While the books of Mark use this concept as the beginning of Jesus' ministry, and Matthew and Luke apply it to Jesus' ancestry, John refers to Jesus' origin as God.

The Johannine Logos, the Greek word usually translated as 'word' whose christological use in the Prologue to John's Gospel sets the Fourth Gospel apart from the others, probably developed entirely within Johannine literature. The frequency with which this Greek word and related forms appear in the Fourth Gospel proper, in the First Epistle of John and in the Prologue, together with the likelihood that these three works were written in that order, suggest that the Johannine Logos was not derived from an outside source.

Chief information officers -- Management ,Communication of technical information -- Management ,Business ,Computers and office automation industries - Abstract
Product data management (PDM) systems which control technical information used to be the sole responsibility of engineers. However, since the technology is also being used for the restructuring of manufacturing organizations based on concurrent engineering and collaborative product development, chief information officers (CIOs) have begun to operate these systems as they possess the perspective, responsibility and authority needed for corporate computing. CIOs can likewise influence the planning, evaluation, selection and implementation of PDM systems.

Earth Resources And Remote Sensing - Abstract
The Calibration Advisory Panel (CAP) is composed of calibration experts from each of the Earth Observing System (EOS) instruments, science investigation, and cross-calibration teams. These members come from a variety of institutions and backgrounds. In order to facilitate an exchange of ideas, and assure a common basis for communication, it was desirable to assemble this list of definitions. These definitions were developed for use by the visible and near-infrared working group, and the thermal infrared working group. Where necessary or appropriate, deviations from these for specific instruments or other sensor types are given in the individual calibration plans. The definitions contained in this document are derived, wherever possible, from definitions accepted by international and national metrological commissions including the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML).
