The agricultural and forest practices affect biodiversity. This thesis studied how different agricultural and forest management practices affect the biodiversity that depends on the agro-forestry environments of North-West Spain. All birds, butterflies and plants benefited from organic farming, with higher species richness and abundance in organic than conventional farms. In addition, organic farming resulted in a higher functional diversity of butterflies. Finally, all bird and plant species richness and diversity were higher in native forests than Eucalyptus plantations. Organic agriculture and native forests play a key role for biodiversity, and they should be prioritised in order to conserve biodiversity in North-West Spain.

Objetivo. La fuerza de agarre de la mano puede proporcionar un índice objetivo de la fuerza de los miembros superiores, pero no se dispone de un dinamómetro de mano validado para su uso en Colombia. El objetivo fue determinar la intercambiabilidad entre los dinamómetros hidráulicos Jamar y el dinamómetro electrónico Camry en una población que se encuentra en el campus de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y personas mayores que viven en una comunidad. Métodos.Estudio transversal de concordancia realizado en hombres y mujeres de 18 a 88 años de edad. Se recolectó información sobre variables demográficas, de salud y antropométricas. El coeficiente de correlación de concordancia de Lin (CCC) y los gráficos de Bland-Altman se utilizaron para evaluar la concordancia entre ambos dispositivos. The prevalence of malnutrition in homes for the elderly is well-known, yet research does not exist concerning differences among types of homes. In this study, the association of nutritional status (measured with MNA-FV and anthropometric measures) with the type of home for the elderly (charity, government, private) was evaluated. A cross-sectional study in adults > 60 years was carried out. Students t, U of Mann-Whitney, ANOVA, or Kruskal Wallis test with statistical significance p < 0.05 were used for statistical analysis. In the study, 152 elderly (95 female) persons with an average age of 81.4 years (SD 7.82) participated; 59.6% had a normal nutritional status and 45.3% had a normal BMI. Malnutrition, risk of malnutrition and low calf circumference were associated with private homes (p < 0.05). We concluded that nutritional status varies by type of home and this nutritional profile possibly depends on criteria used to admit persons into each type of facility. During the Interregnum (1410-1412), the Crown of Aragon went through one of its most critical periods in terms of violence, the states lived a monarchic vacuum because Martin the Humane had died leaving no heirs. During this process, towns and cities not only had to decide who their king would be, but they also had to deal with the several attempts of factions in order to take advantage in the control of power after the king’s death. The paper sets out to examine this period from the municipalities’ point of view, looking at how they dealt with the problems that they had to face up. Durante el Interregno (1410-1412), la Corona de Aragón vive uno de sus periodos más álgidos en cuanto a manifestación de la violencia se refiere; los estados experimentan un vacío monárquico puesto que Martín el Humano muere sin descendencia. Durante este proceso las ciudades no sólo tienen que decidir quién será su rey sino afrontar las múltiples expresiones de los bandos que aprovechan la muerte del rey por hacerse con el control del poder. De esta forma se pretende dar la visión de un periodo desde la perspectiva municipal con la gestión de cada uno de los problemas a los que se enfrenta.

TFG del programa Erasmus EPS elaborat a Politechnika Lódzka In today’s world people are suffering from a lack of a healthy lifestyle. The goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging youngsters and seniors to do more activities together. The Design Thinking method is used to find the solution. This is a solution-based type of workflow in which the team starts with the goal instead of the problem. This leads to discovering the real cause of the problem and, in result, finding many alternative solutions. Findings and analysis show that there are a lot of reasons behind the problem. Without the obvious ones like an unhealthy diet it was stated that technology and lack of social life are also big factors that should be taken into account while creating the solution. In result the term healthy lifestyle has been redefined so that it includes physical health as well as mental and social. Between seniors and youngsters there exists a technological gap that has to be reduced. Both groups can benefit from each other by sharing experiences. An active lifestyle can be achieved not only by doing physical activities but also mental ones. The proposed solution includes all mentioned observations. The paper is recommended above those who wish to learn the concepts of Design Thinking as well as for everyone concerned about the problem of children’s and senior's lack of healthy lifestyle.

La llegada del Interregno a la Corona de Aragón (1410-1412) supuso el afianzamiento de los bandos en cada una de las ciudades de los territorios. La muerte del monarca Martín el Humano sin descendencia refleja lo que décadas atrás viene pasando: la violencia articulada en facciones ahora es un motivo más para el control exclusivo de las competencias políticas municipales. De este modo se perpetúa la violencia en villas y ciudades mientras que desde el regimiento público se lucha por la paz y tregua de los bandos no con mucho éxito, The Interregnum in the Crown of Aragon (1410-1412) lived the consolidation of the factions in each city of each and every one of the countries. The death of Martin the Human without descendants reflects the result of all happened decades ago: the violence is constructed by factions and this is another reason to control exclusively the management of municipal policies. In a specific way the violence carries on in villages and cities whereas the municipal power tries to establish the peace and truce between the factions without success

El següent projecte descriu el funcionament d’una estació depuradora d’aigües residuals mixtes, coneguda com EDAR, situada a Igualada que pertany a la província de Barcelona, en la comarca de l’Anoia. Es detallen les característiques de l’aigua a tractar, mitjançant els adequats processos tant físics, químics com biològics. A més, s’expliquen els diversos processos que es donen en la depuradora, com la depuració de l’aigua i el tractament dels fangs derivats del procés. El tractament que es portarà a terme en la EDAR, serà el tractament biològic mitjançant fangs actius ja que es el més adequat per a les aigües de la zona on es troba ubicada la EDAR i la prova és que les depuradores d’aigües residuals de la zona, fan servir el mateix tractament. A més, s’inclouen els càlculs pertinents així com el pressupost de l’estació depuradora i els planols.
