Women's participation in an ever-widening range of occupations is related to growing emancipation, their physical and mental fitness, their ability to solve complex problems based on acquired scientific knowledge, skills, and a strong specific disposition in leading teams. With their natural empathy, inherent to women - mothers, feelings, responsibility, and rational thinking, they show that they are rightly given the same opportunities as their male co-workers. They occupy a wide range of manual work, they are irreplaceable in services, health care, education, science, parliament, but also the police or the armed forces. They do business, run multinational companies, fly aircrafts etc. Less than a century ago, it was rare to see women in the military, and yet women now fight in ground combat, command air combat, pilot combat aircraft, and oversee medical operations. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the participation of women in the tasks of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic in terms of gender stereotypes and to identify the possibilities of full employment of women in the civil service in the reflection of the current military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Исследование номинативной сферы средневековой Англии позволяет сформировать определённое представление об историографии становления и развития народов, которые проживали на данной территории. Непосредственно история возникновения англо-норманнского языка в XI веке началась после Норманнского завоевания, которое существенно отразилось не только на геополитическом положении страны (Британии), но и на её лингвистических коллизиях. Как следствие, номинативные кластеры позволяют сформировать не только лингвистическое представление о языковых процессах XI – XV веков, но и определить уровень жизни и специфику профессиональной деятельности, существующие в те времена в государстве, а также масштабы его коммуникации с другими странами (которые знали друг о друге и имели дипломатические или враждебные взаимоотношения), в том числе, понять специфику милитаризации армии и особенности военного дела, которые были характерны для исследуемой эпохи.В данной статье проанализированы такие номинативные сферы англо-норманнского языка средневековой Англии, как: номинативное поле концепта «государство» и его кластеры «право» и «религия» (включая подкластеры «теология» и «мифология»); представлена топонимика «демонимов» и «топонимов»; описаны и приведены примеры номинативных сфер «транспорт», «военное дело» и «мирные профессии».

Based on narratives from Swedish officers’ experiences from challenging situations, the article investigates the role of experience-based knowledge in military practice. Officers must be prepared to act in situations in which they do not have full control, make decisions under uncertain circumstances, and master tasks with conflicting rules, objectives, and means. These conditions apply in an overseas warfare environment, and also back home. The officers’ ability to adequately interpret phenomena in a given situation includes a variety of inarticulable knowledge. The aim of this article is to examine two aspects of military practice: (I) what role experience plays when handling challenging situations, and (II) how different kinds of knowledge are active in forming a professional skill. Using a set of epistemological concepts (phronesis, knowledge of familiarity, skill acquisition model), the article presents an analytical framework that focuses on experience-based forms of knowledge. The results show that experience-based aspects of knowledge which are crucial in military practice run the risk of not being discussed, because established methods and research traditions are focusing on measurable forms of knowledge. Finally, the article discusses the risk of de-professionalization due to unilateral use of monitoring and evaluation methods that primarily focus on forms of knowledge that can be calculated and expressed explicitly.

The present article studies the grounds and factors which influenced the formation and promotion of Ghurids’ military power and their military actions for encountering invaders and rivals. The present paper, based on historical sources and a descriptive- analytic approach, has studied the ups and downs experienced by the Ghurids for gaining military authority and power and also various factors effective in the formation and development of Ghurids’ military power. The main issue addressed by this study is the internal and external factors effective in the formation of Ghurids’ military power and the promotion of their military abilities. The findings of the research indicate that internal elements such as Ghur mountainous location, the characteristics of its people and its enjoyment of mines of metals utilized in making arms had influenced their gaining military power. Furthermore, external factors such as Ghurids' struggles with some of their powerful neighbors, increase in their motives for gaining power and repelling invaders, expansion of Ghurids' territory and their encountering powerful rivals, and promotion of their military power via military experiences of other powers were also at work.

To describe how soft skills acquired during military service can be applied to the practice of critical care medicine., Data Sources: A systematic search was performed in PubMed., Study Selection: We selected all studies that addressed soft skills in medicine., Data Extraction: Information present in published articles was analyzed by the authors and incorporated in the article if relevant to the practice of critical care medicine., Data Synthesis: Integrative review of 15 articles combined with the authors' clinical experience practicing military medicine in country and overseas while also practicing academic intensive care medicine., Conclusions: Soft skills used in the military have potential applications to modern intensive care medicine.
