In this short article we discuss putative effect of decreased ability for movement in the progressive neuromuscular disorders on the central state of brain activity. We propose possibility that such reduced activation of proprioreceptors can lead to partial ‘functional de-afferentation’.Furthermore, we briefly reviewed neurophysiological evidences of peripheral inputs to the central projections. We discussed contribution of the proprioceptive input after passive, active movements and movement induced by vibration of muscles tendons.Finally we are proposing to introduce simple vibratory protocols in daily life of people with progressive neuromuscular disorders in order to prevent central effects of reduced proprioception to endurance of brain activity of people with intact mental functions.

Cell therapy has been shown to be a crucial clinical therapeutic option for central nervous system diseases or damage. Promoting standardization of clinical cell therapy procedures is essential for professional associations devoted to cell therapy. The International Association of Neurorestoratology (IANR) and the Chinese Association of Neurorestoratology (CANR; Preparatory) collaborated to release Clinical Cell Therapy Guidelines for Neurorestoration (IANR/CANR 2017) in 2018. Due to recent advances and achievements in clinical cell therapy worldwide in recent years, IANR and CANR have renewed and updated the guidelines. Except for the requirements of equipment, personnel, and ethics, these revised guidelines include cell type nomenclature, cell quality control, cell types in clinical application, minimal suggested cellular doses, patient-informed consent, indications and contraindications for undergoing cell therapy, documentation of procedure and therapy, safety evaluation, efficacy evaluation, the policy of repeated treatments, do not charge patients for unproven therapies, basic principles of cell therapy, and publishing responsibility. IANR/CANR recommends that all clinical practitioners follow these cellular therapy guidelines. These guidelines provide references of better cell types, doses, routes, and therapeutic timing windows in different diseases.

The IANR council board members and CANR committee members approved this proposal on September 1, 2016, and recommend it to clinical practitioners of cellular therapy. This paper outlines some remarks on our understanding of motor control of the hand. It begins with current knowledge about motor behavior of prehension movements. It further highlights the distributed nature of the control system that integrates sensory information from the periphery, existing motor memory from subcortical centers, and information from diverse primary and secondary motor as well as sensory areas. It further explains the sequential nature of the processes like decision, planning, computing, and execution involved in neurocontrol of a purposeful hand motor task. In the successive part it stresses the importance of sensory input, in particular proprioceptive, for movement setting and guidance. It concludes by pointing out research concepts used to study roles of sensory information for modulating states of neurobiological systems. Finally, a novel method of whole hand electrical stimulation, which seems promising as a tool for studying sensory-motor integration mechanisms in human’s hand, is explained and recent experimental data are provided.
