Abstract Heterogeneous response to Enzalutamide, a second-generation androgen receptor signaling inhibitor, is a central problem in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) management. Genome-wide systems investigation of mechanisms that govern Enzalutamide resistance promise to elucidate markers of heterogeneous treatment response and salvage therapies for CRPC patients. Focusing on the de novo role of MYC as a marker of Enzalutamide resistance, here we reconstruct a CRPC-specific mechanism-centric regulatory network, connecting molecular pathways with their upstream transcriptional regulatory programs. Mining this network with signatures of Enzalutamide response identifies NME2 as an upstream regulatory partner of MYC in CRPC and demonstrates that NME2-MYC increased activities can predict patients at risk of resistance to Enzalutamide, independent of co-variates. Furthermore, our experimental investigations demonstrate that targeting MYC and its partner NME2 is beneficial in Enzalutamide-resistant conditions and could provide an effective strategy for patients at risk of Enzalutamide resistance and/or for patients who failed Enzalutamide treatment.

Aim of the study The aim of this study was to evaluate the exact patient-specific values of the Bennett angle in a real-life setting, in a large group of patients, in order to compare the values obtained with an accurate measuring device to the average values used in dental practice. Material and methods We have performed a cross-sectional study to measure the Bennett angle in consecutive Romanian patients requiring prosthetic treatments, using a digital condylograph (KaVo ARCUSDigma). Results The study group included a total number of 140 patients, of which 40 (28.6%) were males. The median age was 42 years old (IQR: 36.3, 51 years) The median Bennett angle value was 6.7 degrees (IQR: 4.0, 12.5 degrees; range: 0, 30 degrees) overall, calculated from a total of 242 valid measurements. Bennett angle values were not statistically significantly associated with patient age (rs=0.117, p=0.291) or skeletal class (p=0.314) Conclusions The data generated from the current study highlight the importance of measuring the Bennett angle in each patient requiring extensive prosthetic rehabilitation, as patient specific measurements can be very different from the average values described in literature.

The electrical and electronic equipment market (EEE) is a growing one due to technological developments and innovation. The present paper captures the consumer behaviour regarding the purchase, use, and disposal of these types of equipment in the light of the transition to a circular economy. To illustrate consumer perception and attitudes towards EEE products, we conducted quantitative marketing research on a sample of 1005 urban respondents, representative by gender, age, and size of locality of residence. The research results show a rather rational consumer profile in relation to EEE products, but depending on the category of equipment, their involvement in repair, recycling, or reuse actions is different. There is also a relatively low willingness of Romanian consumers to access second-hand EEE products. The article proves its utility by proposing a set of measures to improve the circularity of EEE products, in which both EEE producers and consumers actively participate.

The country image has an important role in present period of globalization. However, image modeling, as a holistic concept based on various marketing communications techniques, has been tangentially analyzed over time. This study aims to explore the influencing techniques used in marketing communication in a complex analysis from a traditional to a modern approach with respect to the country's image. The measuring of a multi-dimensional construct of modeling a home country's image was tested with the implication of image of city, corporation, product, and personal as well as digitalization process. This research outlined various marketing communication techniques at different levels. The impact of image of a city, corporation, product, and person image on the home county image was significant. This editorial adds a contribution to the scientific literature's body of knowledge. It can be concluded that marketing communication techniques that manage image of a place, corporation, product, and person imply a positive effect on the home country's image.

In recent times, green purchasing behaviour has received considerable attention from researchers, consumers and companies. According to specialists, buying products that are sustainable and environmentally friendly is critical to reducing environmental degradation. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to investigate the impact of various factors on the green purchasing behaviour of Romanian consumers. The factors investigated are attitude, level of knowledge and subjective norm. The current study is part of a larger quantitative research. An online survey was used to collect data, relying on convenience sampling. Data was collected from 213 green consumers living in Bucharest. Millennials represent the demographic cohort chosen for analysis. This group is considered to be the most concerned and informed about environmental problems and sustainability. The data sets obtained were analysed with the help of SPSS software package. The main statistical techniques implemented were correlation analysis, independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Data analysis revealed that attitude, level of knowledge and subjective norm influence in a positive manner the green purchasing behaviour of millennials living in Bucharest. The strongest correlation was found between green buying behaviour and level of knowledge. Among the demographic characteristics explored, it was found that gender, education level and income can stimulate green purchasing behaviour. The findings presented in this study offer relevant and valuable insights regarding the green purchasing behaviour of millennials living in Bucharest. Based on these results, companies can develop tailored promotional activities that will increase the sales of organic products. We hope this research theme will receive more attention at local level, considering that the organic market is rapidly expanding in Romania

The current reality of social distancing and isolation brings big cities in front of a new reality. The investigated purpose of the article is to identify recent opportunities and challenges of cities. As well as understanding the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing strategies for Bucharest marketing. The basic experimental design of the study is organized in three chapters. The first part of the study analyzes integrated marketing communication and marketing strategies. In the second part, the marketing process of the city is evaluated, while in the third part the case study for Bucharest is researched. The basic methodology of the article is exploratory research and a survey of 459 respondents who know about Bucharest. Its purpose is to understand the phenomena and marketing processes of the city in order to know their essence. This is a crucial period for all big cities and metropolitans. Cities need to review their strategies and marketing to find a way to makes a difference or to get back to the usual pace of life they had before social, economic and health crises at least. The major findings of this paper are assessments of the impact of marketing on city image. Findings of research identify trends of successful marketing strategy for the Bucharest. The implication of the study results represents a basis for future studies in the improvement of marketing strategies in metropolitan regions. The added value of the paper is the identification of options for the marketing strategy that lead to the strategic development in Bucharest. The original contribution of the authors is discussing the degree of involvement that marketing plays in the image of cities in this period of restrictions.

Climate change is one of the greatest threats to the environment and life on Earth. Extreme weather and climate events, such as wildlife fires, heatwaves or flooding are becoming increasingly common both in Europe and the rest of the world. Therefore, the main goal of this study is to investigate citizens’ perceptions and awareness of climate change across Europe in the wake of this global climate crisis. The main items analysed are awareness of climate change, perceived seriousness of climate change and pro-environmental behaviour. The main results highlighted that almost 8 in 10 Europeans consider climate change to be a very serious problem and the majority of them ranked it as the 2nd most serious global issue below poverty and hunger and above international terrorism. Data analysis also revealed that people are taking more individual actions to fight climate change compared to previous years. The data analysed is part of the Eurobarometer 91.3 survey from 2019. Main similarities and differences are explored between countries revealing the heterogeneous nature of public attitudes towards climate change. Comparisons are drawn based on various factors, including socio-economic context and level of exposure to extreme weather events. These findings have important implications for policy makers and can be used as support for developing specific European and local initiatives aimed at raising awareness and education on climate change topics.

In order to study the intelligent collection system of moving object trajectory data under cloud computing, information useful to passengers and taxi drivers is collected from massive trajectory data. This paper uses cloud computing technology, through clustering algorithm and density-based DBSCAN algorithm combined with Map Reduce programming model and design trajectory clustering algorithm. The results show that based on the 8-day data of 15,000 taxis in Shenzhen, the characteristic time period is determined. The passenger hot spot area is obtained by clustering the passenger load points in each time period, which verifies the feasibility of the passenger load point recommendation application based on trajectory clustering. Therefore, in the absence of holidays, the number of passenger hotspots tends to be stable. It is reliable to perform cluster analysis. The recommended application has been demonstrated through experiments, and the implementation results show the rationality of the recommended application design and the feasibility of practice.

The natural compounds of boron have many applications, primarily as a dietary supplement. The research is based on the discovery that the diester chlorogenoborate complex can be detected and quantified from green coffee beans. The study reports that such a diester molecule can also be synthesized in a stable form via the direct reaction of boric acid and chlorogenic acid in a mixture of acetonitrile–water (1:1, v/v) and left to evaporate over a period of 48 h at room temperature, resulting in a spirocyclic form (diester complex). The diester complex, with its molecular structure and digestibility attributes, has potential application as a prebiotic in gut health and oral health, and as a micronutrient essential for microbiota in humans and animals.

This article presents the context that led to the establishment of the probation system in Romania in relation to some reforms of the criminal sanctioning system. These reforms were necessary because of the difficulties faced by the penitentiary system before and after 1989, as well as the need to align the administration of penalties with the requirements imposed by the country’s accession to the Council of Europe and the European Union. Eighteen years after the creation of the probation system within the Ministry of Justice, it can be stated that this endeavour constitutes a success, but it is absolutely necessary to continue the efforts towards consolidating it. In addition, these measures have to be accompanied by a change of vision in relation to how other community members can be involved in the process of social reintegration of individuals who have broken the law.

Marketing is an art, used in everyday life, by producers, most of the time, to influence final consumer behavior. Advertising, as a marketing tool, is not linked, only to development of media, but currently is one of the main types of public communication and has effect, not only in economy, but also has higher effect on social relations. Advertising, in modern society, is one of the most influent factors in communication due to increasing role of media and its structure. At this moment, advertising represents a specific form of media communication, due to its wide action and is not just responsible for products and services selling and can no longer have, only, an economic role. It, also, has a motivation effect on people behavior, creates new value systems, as well as, changes the world perception values. Public unconscious mind can be influence, mainly, through symbols and through things. Mainly used in advertising, is symbolism, considered as the base of influencing people’s unconscious mind. Russian researchers analyzed a lot of methods used in advertising which can influence consumer behavior. I set out to do an office job for analyze subliminal and other methods used in advertising which can influence public behavior, the sphere where it is used, for understanding of all techniques of influence and to compare emerging trends in manipulation analyzed by advertising researchers from different countries. I intend to do a research based on secondary data to realize that the manipulation of consumer or public behavior is it possible or not.

Consumers' concerns in the direction of maintaining personal health and environmental protection, together with the revaluation of these trends by worldwide organizations, have led to the intensification of entrepreneurial initiatives in Romania in the field of organic products. Therefore, we are observing the growth of the organic food market, although at a slower pace than in countries with a tradition in this field. Hence, this paper aims to provide an overview of the Romanian food market, not before highlighting the general context in the European Union. The analysis focuses on the presentation of the development of sales on the marketing channels available at the market level and on the identification of the elements that led to the current market context. Thus, the supremacy of modern retail is noticeable, as a result of the intensified efforts of general retailers in this direction. Finally, we present the defining elements of the Romanian market and highlight the importance of marketing in its development.

Persuasion sparks interest among the general public and marketers. Persuasive strategies activate discourses on responsible and sustainable business. This is an interesting phenomenon that needs to be studied, explained, and understood in order to destroy the myth among consumers. The purpose of this paper is to explore influence techniques used in marketing communication in order to test and develop a theoretical approach of art implication as a persuasive tool. This article, based on a secondary source case study, is reviewing the influence of art on consumer behavior. Related results from persuasive literature and survey results, based on 689 respondents, mainly from Romania, indicate that persuasive power has an impact according to the style of communication. Some advertisements try to increase persuasiveness, as a company’s marketing communication needs to appeal to ethics and morality. Art represents “one of the world’s most sacred cultural resources”. Different categories of artwork are mentioned, as well as their degree of cultural recognition. Art and persuasion are also the main principles for luxury retailers. After a conceptual framework, we developed a study that embraced art and science. Studying art as an influence technique represents interest among marketers, as a notoriety topic, not enough studied. The implications and findings of this research suggest that persuasive techniques based on art require continued research. This paper helps to place this subject in a proper perspective and clarifies much of its confusion. The results advance specialty theory and provide insights for marketers. Judo is one of the most appreciated sports due to its positive influences on children since their formative stages. The research aims to highlight the influence of judo methods on the general physical fitness in 8-10-year-old children who practice judo in the rural area schools. Material and methods. A number of 24 children aged 8-10 years participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: control group (n=12) and experimental group (n=12). Then, 5 general physical fitness tests were administered in both groups. The following tests were used: shuttle run(sec), crunches (reps), push-ups (reps), squats (reps) and standing long jump (SLJ) (cm). Statistical analysis sought to estimate the differences in means between groups at initial testing (IT) and final testing (FT). There were used: t-Test (Assuming Equal Variances), Unpaired Comparison for Means and correlation analysis - the Pearson correlation coefficient. The experimental program was applied in EG throughout the 2020-2021 school year and consisted of physical education lessons with contents selected from judo. The CG students had classes of physical education performed in the traditional way. Results. The comparative analysis of the indices of the general physical fitness test reveals larger differences in the EG at FT - Shuttle test - of the median value (M) between groups, of 1.92 sec. There are significant differences between groups at p<0.001, Crunches test by 10.0 reps (p<0.001), Push-ups test by 11.5 reps (p<0.001), Squats test by 8.00 reps and significant differences at p<0.001. As for the SLJ test, it shows differences of 0.5 cm larger at CG (p>0.05) and of 10.5 cm at EG (p<0.05). Correlation analysis between the general physical fitness indices in CG highlights 20% significant connections at p<0.05 between the indices of Shuttle test with Crunches and SLJ tests. Regarding the results of the correlation analysis in EG, 60% significant connections are recorded, namely 30% at p<0.05 between the indices of Shuttle with Squats tests, Crunches with Squats and SLJ; 20% at p<0.01 between Shuttle with Push-ups and Crunches with Push-ups and at p<0.001 - 10% between Push-ups and Squats. Conclusions. The results of the research confirm the significant differences between the means of the groups. They highlight the estimated connection level between the indices of general physical fitness. The results also prove the effectiveness of applying the judo methods during the physical education lessons for 8-10-yearold students in the rural area schools. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article aims to capture the profile evolution of the persons with a healthy lifestyle. The research was done with the aid of SNA Focus. The research is based on data gathered by BRAT between November 2015 and November 2016. The questionnaire was completed by 10,240 urban people aged 14-74. In order to have comparable data between the two years we have reduced the access to research data by 2008. The study’s main subjects are the persons that chose to live a healthy lifestyle, consuming rather fruits and vegetables, seeking to buy grocery without additives and doing sports. From the point of view of opinions and attitudes, in these 9 years the profile of those who lead a healthy lifestyle has not changed significantly. From the point of view of nutrition, there are those who consume less calories, rather vegetarians and those who avoid food with fat. Yet the main conclusion is that this segment of population has increased during the analysed period. This kind of description analysis is needed for proper development of organic and healthy products market - local and direct distribution systems for all kinds of producers and distributors.

Throughout history, physical education has witnessed both periods of prosperity and times of decline. Dating back to the ancient world, it was held in high regard, as evidenced by wellknown maxims like "Beautiful and good" (Kalos, Kai, Agatos) and "Mens sana in corpore sano", which encapsulate valuable ideals about the educational ideal. These maxims suggestively reveal the intrinsic unity between physical and mental well-being, highlighting their intricate interplay. However, in the realm of physical education and sports for students, the development of psychomotor qualities has not always received the attention it deserves. Often, solutions have been proposed without fully considering the educational objectives or precisely defining the role of motor qualities in achieving these objectives and molding students' desired training outcomes. Plants of the Dahlia genus are particularly valued for their wide variety of shapes and colors both as cultivated plants and as cut flowers thus increasing the interest for the introduction in the culture of cultivars with great decorative value and great resistance as cut flowers. The work presents anatomical aspects, but also particularities regarding the life span of cut flowers in preservation solutions for the cultivars 'Topmix Red', 'Hy Pimento', 'Babylon Red', 'Marble Ball' and 'Thomas Edison'. The objective of this study was to analyze dahlia varieties both from the anatomical point of view and the preservation of cut flowers in vases using different preservation solutions to establish a correlation between the diameter of xylem vessels and cut flower life. The diameter of the xylem vessels does not seem to influence the life span of the cut flowers, regardless of the solution used in the conditions of this experiment. The Quick dip and eZDose conservation solution increased the lifespan of the varieties studied compared to the other conservation solutions used. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
