Leader has a crucial role in the process оf knowledge management. In order to be successful, leader has to possess qualities and skills that create the conditions for creating, sharing and use of knowledge in organizations. However, apart from the creation, transfer and use of knowledge, it is essential that it promotes and creates new knowledge that will contribute to creating value for the organization. The aim of this work is to point out the necessity of knowledge management, and to suggest the styles of leadership at various stages of knowledge management. The research is of theoretical nature and method of analysis will be used. In this paper we will firstly describe leadership styles. Then we will expose phase of the process of knowledge management. Finally, we describe the role of the leader in the individual stages of the process of knowledge management. By analyzing the styles of leadership and phases of knowledge management process, we have found that the roles and tasks of leaders differ in the stages. Therefore, it is necessary to apply different leadership styles. According to this, different stages of the process of knowledge imply different styles of leadership.

Contemporary business conditions are realized in the society that is based on knowledge, so the ability of permanent gain and use of new knowledge becomes a key factor for survival contemporary organizations. Learning becomes the basic premise of organization for realization of the competitive advantage on the market. Organizational learning in a virtual organization is considered in this work. The aim of this work is to point out the role and significance of enabling the capacity of the virtual organization to support, encourage learning and memory organizational knowledge and by this accomplish high performances. The presentation begins with the definition, the show basic characteristics and types of virtual organizations. Then, basic characteristics of organizational learning and process of organizational learning are shown. Special attention in this work is paid to the organizational learning in virtual organization. The research is of theoretical character, and quality methods of research will be used accordingly. By analyzing the research done in this work, we can conclude that organizational learning significantly contributes to advancing of organizational performances, but the organizational knowledge must be preserved and memorized.

Structure design is a central issue of every organization and a great challenge for contemporary managers. Organizational culture, as a system of values, beliefs and norms of behavior, represents an important determinant of organizational structure, and thus organizational performance. Culture affects the way of organization, the relationships, the degree of formalization, standardization and centralization in the organization. In this paper, first of all characteristics and typology of organizational culture are presented. Then, Mintzberg`s typology of organizational model are stated. Special attention in this paper is paid to impact of organizational culture on a choice of organizational structure model. By analyzing the research done in this work, we can conclude that different types of organizational cultures imply different models of organizational structure. In contemporary conditions, to develop a culture that encourages learning, community, teamwork, good human relations, open communications and acceptance of changes.

Business globalization, rapid technological changes, cultural differences, have initiated the necessity of forming learning organizations. These are organizations that develop systemic thinking, shared vision, teamwork, open communication, foster the culture of togetherness, development of employees. The focus of these organizations is constantly supporting and encouraging organizational learning. The paper discusses the role of leader in the creation of a learning organization. Emphasize the following roles: designer, manager, teacher, model, mentor, monitor, and so on. The aim of this paper is to point out the role and importance of leadership skills for the creation the capacity of the organization to learn and by this accomplish high performances.
