The transition to adolescence may be a challenging time for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This developmental period is marked by increased social demands and increasing anxiety and depression symptoms for many individuals with autism. As both of these factors may compound social difficulties and impact friendship experiences, this study explored the relations among autism symptom severity, internalizing symptoms, and friendship experiences in boys with and without ASD (with IQ > 75). Results showed that internalizing symptoms predicted quantity of close friendships in the ASD group. Given the observed relationship between internalizing symptoms and friendship experiences, social skills intervention programs should address possible internalizing symptoms associated with establishing/maintaining social relationships and perceived friendship quality.

The current study aimed to examine racial, ethnic, and gender disparities in the receipt of special education services for students with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from a healthcare provider utilizing parent-report data from a large, nationally representative sample of U.S. youth. Binary logistic regression results indicated that females with ASD were significantly less likely to receive special education than their male peers; however, race and ethnicity were not significant predictors of school-based autism services. These results suggest that racial/ethnic disparities in educational support for ASD students may be improving, yet misunderstandings of the impact of gender on autism symptom presentation and school functioning persist.

Visitando textos de Antonin Artaud, Lima Barreto, Maura Lopes Cançado e Rodrigo de Souza Leão acerca da internação psiquiátrica, este artigo aborda as relações entre corpo, escrita e política em torno da lógica manicomial e suas dissidências. Com o objetivo de propor, com os loucos, possíveis táticas de resistência ao julgamento psiquiátrico, a metodologia de pesquisa utilizada é a cartografia psicossocial, acoplada a uma análise das relações de poder. Começamos investigando as transformações históricas na separação discursiva entre razão e loucura, e de que modo elas incidiram no campo literário. Passamos, em seguida, por como o hospício cria, com a disciplina e sua prática de escrita, relações hierarquizantes e homogeneizantes que têm como efeito a individualização do corpo. Ao final, elaboramos como a linguagem poética e a criação ficcional podem funcionar, aliadas ao papel coletivo e revolucionário da literatura, como potentes estratégias antimanicomiais de resistência num convite para repensarmos nossas produções escritas.

Due to Covid-19, much time and effort are dedicated to sanitizing at home and school. While we strive to protect children, we must re-examine the messages they receive about dirt and muddy play. Are we inadvertently prejudicing them against “unclean” entanglements that may afford them more significant learning opportunities? In this paper, I offer my experiences exploring the language of mud and its relationship with play, language, and learning for my four-year-old son. I explore how a mud kitchen can offer caregivers and children a space for collective inquiry in a post-pandemic world. This paper suggests that caregivers’ attitudes towards mess impact children’s openness to muddy play. Also, it highlights that muddy play can be a learning tool to encourage self-expression and teach personal hygiene and cleanliness. I discovered that storytelling normalizing muddy play positively impacted levels of engagement in the mud kitchen. I believe my findings demonstrate the value of mud for developing children’s resourcefulness, curiosity, responsibility, empathy, and self-reliance. My findings emphasize that children can thrive within discomfort with strategic support and compassion from caregivers. I hope that my experiences of muddy play can invite educators to reimagine educational engagements for the future.

As value-based care continues to expand, more children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) will be treated by accountable care organizations (ACOs), provider organizations seeking to improve population health while reducing costs. To inform ACO strategies for children with ASD, this study compared health care expenditures of children insured by a Medicaid managed care organization, empaneled to a safety net ACO, with ASD, asthma, and neither diagnosis. Compared to other study groups, children with ASD were more costly, had lower rates of acute care, and had higher rates of "leaked" care provided by home- and community-based mental health agencies outside of the ACO. These findings highlight the need for unique value-based strategies for children with ASD in a public sector ACO.

School instruction and service delivery changed dramatically amid disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Children receiving special education services were especially vulnerable to the impact of reduced or eliminated school services as part of their individualized education programs. Caregiver perspectives regarding the changes in school service delivery amid the pandemic were evaluated using qualitative methods. Caregivers reported reduced or eliminated services, inconsistencies in service delivery, challenges with distance learning, increased stress and advocacy efforts, and varying perceptions of student engagement and teacher efforts. The implications of school services changes are discussed.

Research indicates that youth with autism spectrum disorder often experience unmet health care needs and receive poorer quality of care. Intellectual disability commonly co-occurs with autism spectrum disorder; however, the nature of unmet health care needs and health care quality in youth with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability have not been investigated. As such, this study sought to examine associations among co-occurring intellectual disability, unmet physical and mental health care needs, and health care quality in youth with autism spectrum disorder. Data from this study were acquired from the 2016–2018 National Survey of Children’s Health, a nationally distributed caregiver-report questionnaire. Results found that the frequency of unmet mental health care need was significantly higher among children with autism spectrum disorder with co-occurring intellectual disability than those without intellectual disability. Using a structural equation modeling approach, it was found that the total effect of co-occurring intellectual disability on composite health care quality was significant. Investigation of indirect effects indicated that unmet mental health care need mediated the relationship between co-occurring intellectual disability and health care quality. These findings suggest that youth with autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring intellectual disability may be more likely to experience unmet mental health care needs, and that their unmet mental health care needs may negatively impact their health care quality. Lay abstract The increase in the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder has placed greater demands on the health care system. Children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder often experience challenges accessing high-quality physical and mental health care due to characteristic social-communication deficits and behavioral difficulties, as well as high rates of complex medical and psychiatric comorbidities. Intellectual disability commonly co-occurs with autism spectrum disorder and individuals affected by this co-occurrence may have additional impairments that compound challenges accessing health care. This study investigated the relations among co-occurring intellectual disability, unmet physical and mental health care needs, and health care quality in a large, nationally distributed sample of youth with autism spectrum disorder using structural equation modeling techniques. Co-occurring intellectual disability was significantly associated with unmet mental health care needs in children with autism. In addition, unmet mental health care needs mediated the relationship between co-occurring intellectual disability and health care quality; youth with autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring intellectual disability who had a past-year unmet mental health need had significantly poorer caregiver-reported health care quality. These findings suggest that youth with autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring intellectual disability may be more likely to experience unmet mental health care needs and receive poorer quality of care than the broader autism spectrum disorder population.

Depression has long been a clinical concern in youth with autism, yet systematic research examining its prevalence, presentation, and treatment has only begun to emerge more recently. Using the search terms autism, asd, or autistic and depression, depressive, dysthymia, or dysthymic, this systematic review identified 43 articles focused on symptoms of depression in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders published between 2012 and 2016. The results of the review indicate that depression is more common in youth with autism spectrum disorders than in typically developing youth and is associated with a multitude of other medical and psychiatric conditions. Unfortunately, few intervention studies have been conducted despite evidence of need and preliminary efficacy for some psychosocial and pharmacological treatments.

Introdução: Com o crescimento significativo de idosos, é necessário o aprimoramento de políticas públicas que propiciem a promoção de saúde e a prevenção de doenças. A proposta do grupo de promoção de saúde surge como uma estratégia no processo do envelhecimento com o objetivo de garantir qualidade de vida na velhice. Constitui-se como uma iniciativa de atuação interdisciplinar. Objetivo: Compreender a importância dos papéis ocupacionais e do apoio social dos idosos que participam dos grupos de promoção de saúde oferecidos por um Centro de Convivência de uma cidade administrativa do Distrito Federal. Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo qualitativa de caráter descritivo-exploratório, com análise da técnica do discurso do sujeito coletivo. A pesquisa foi realizada em um Centro de Convivência de uma cidade administrativa do Distrito Federal. Para a coleta de dados, utilizaram-se dois instrumentos: a Lista de Identificação de Papéis Ocupacionais e o Diagrama de Escolta. Resultados e Discussão: Foi possível compreender que os grupos de promoção de saúde contribuíram na ampliação da rede de apoio social dos idosos, na criação de novos laços de amizade que fortaleceram os papéis ocupacionais contribuindo para o engajamento em atividades e evitando o isolamento. Conclusão: Conclui-se que os grupos de promoção à saúde do Centro de Convivência tornaram-se um forte incentivador para a ampliação da rede de apoio social e dos papéis ocupacionais, tendo uma grande influência sobre o bem-estar físico, emocional e psicológico dos idosos participantes do estudo. AbstractIntroduction: With the significant growth of the elderly, it is necessary to improve public policies that promote health promotion and disease prevention. The proposal of the health promotion group is presented as a proposal to guarantee quality of life in old age, an initiative of interdisciplinary action, which emerged as a strategy in the aging process. Aims: To understand the importance of the occupational roles and the social support of the elderly people who participate in the health promotion groups offered by a Centro Convivência of an administrative city of the Federal District.Methods: It is a qualitative research of descriptive-exploratory character, with analysis of the discourse technique of the collective subject. The research was carried out in a Coexistence Center of an administrative city of the Federal District. Two instruments, the Occupational Identification List and the Escort Diagram, were used for data collection.Results and Discussion: It was possible to understand that the health promotion groups contributed to the expansion of the social support network of the elderly, the creation of new bonds of friendship that strengthened the occupational roles contributing to the engagement in activities and avoiding isolation. Conclusion: It was concluded that the health promotion groups of the Coexistence Center, have become a strong incentive for expanding the social support network and occupational roles, being a great influence for the physical, emotional and psychological well-being of the study. Background Co-occurring mental health problems are common in youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and are associated with greater caregiver stress; however, it is not known whether such challenges overwhelm caregivers’ ability to cope. Research has demonstrated that families of children with ASD are able to demonstrate resilience; yet, whether family resilience functions as a compensatory or protective factor in ASD families has not been investigated. This study aimed to examine the relations among family resilience, co-occurring psychopathology in youth with ASD, and caregiver coping. Method Data from this study were obtained from the 2016–2018 National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH). Multiple binary logistic regression was run to examine the associations among commonly co-occurring psychiatric disorders in youth with ASD (i.e., anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and behavioral/conduct problems) and caregiver coping. Another multiple binary logistic regression was run to examine whether family resilience moderates the aforementioned relationships. Results Youth with ASD and co-occurring conduct problems or depression were significantly more likely to be cared for by adults who were not coping well. High family resilience was directly associated with lower odds of poor parental coping; nonetheless, co-occurring conduct problems and depression were still associated with worse coping of caregivers after accounting for family resilience. Conclusions Findings indicate that co-occurring depression and conduct problems in ASD youth may overwhelm their caregivers’ coping resources. Results also suggest that interventions targeting family resilience may improve the coping of adults caring for children and adolescents with ASD.

Background Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) can be used as a measure of the impact of a particular disorder on one’s daily functioning. Previous studies have found that comorbid psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are associated with poorer HRQoL than ASD alone. Less is known about potential associations between specific symptoms of co-occurring psychopathology (i.e., emotional and behavioral problems) and domains of functioning or HRQoL in youth with ASD. Method Participants were 470 children with ASD 2–14 years old recruited from one of three sites. Hierarchical multiple regressions were conducted with Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory 4.0 (PedsQL; Varni, Seid, & Kurtin, 2001 ) HRQoL domains of physical functioning, emotional functioning, school functioning, and social functioning as the dependent variables. Covariates were entered at step 1, followed by the independent variables of interest at step 2: irritability, social withdrawal, stereotypic behavior, hyperactivity/noncompliance, and inappropriate speech. Results The study found that increased irritability was associated with poorer emotional and physical functioning and that greater social withdrawal was associated with worse social functioning. Furthermore, findings showed that more hyperactivity/noncompliance was associated with worse school functioning. Conclusions Results demonstrated that certain emotional and behavioral symptoms are differentially associated with domains of HRQoL. This indicates that emotional and behavioral problems should be considered when measuring HRQoL in children with ASD. It also suggests that treating co-occurring emotional/behavioral problems could improve HRQoL and functioning in certain domains for this population.

Background Given the prevalence of depression in persons with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), effective treatment is crucial; however, a systemic review on the topic has not been published in over a decade. This study aimed to systematically examine the efficacy of psychosocial and pharmacological treatments for depression in youth and adults with ASD to inform clinical practice. Method PsycINFO, PubMed, and CINAHL online databases were searched for peer-reviewed journal articles containing any combination of the following terms in the abstract: (1) autism, autistic, Asperger, or “pervasive developmental disorder,” (2) depression or depressive and (3) treatment, intervention, trial, therapy, medication, drug, or antidepressant. Evidence from studies meeting the predetermined criteria of inclusion was assessed for its strength to inform clinical decision-making. Results Twenty psychosocial treatment studies and five pharmacological treatment studies met the criteria of inclusion. Psychosocial interventions studied the effectiveness of cognitive remediation therapy, behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), combined psychosocial intervention, mindfulness-based therapy (MBT), and social, academic, and/or vocational skills training. Pharmacological interventions studied the effectiveness of anti-epileptic drug, norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, stimulant, atypical antipsychotic, and NMDA receptor antagonist treatment. Conclusions Although much recent research has investigated potentially effective treatments for depression in individuals with ASD, the strength of the evidence remains generally poor. However, studies indicate preliminary efficacy for MBT. A number of investigations have examined the effect of CBT on depression in persons with ASD; however, the results are inconsistent. Further research is needed to advance clinical practice for individuals with ASD and comorbid depression.

ObjectiveThe rapid proliferation of machine learning research using electronic health records to classify healthcare outcomes offers an opportunity to address the pressing public health problem of adolescent suicidal behavior. We describe the development and evaluation of a machine learning algorithm using natural language processing of electronic health records to identify suicidal behavior among psychiatrically hospitalized adolescents.MethodsAdolescents hospitalized on a psychiatric inpatient unit in a community health system in the northeastern United States were surveyed for history of suicide attempt in the past 12 months. A total of 73 respondents had electronic health records available prior to the index psychiatric admission. Unstructured clinical notes were downloaded from the year preceding the index inpatient admission. Natural language processing identified phrases from the notes associated with the suicide attempt outcome. We enriched this group of phrases with a clinically focused list of terms representing known risk and protective factors for suicide attempt in adolescents. We then applied the random forest machine learning algorithm to develop a classification model. The model performance was evaluated using sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and accuracy.ResultsThe final model had a sensitivity of 0.83, specificity of 0.22, AUC of 0.68, a PPV of 0.42, NPV of 0.67, and an accuracy of 0.47. The terms mostly highly associated with suicide attempt clustered around terms related to suicide, family members, psychiatric disorders, and psychotropic medications.ConclusionThis analysis demonstrates modest success of a natural language processing and machine learning approach to identifying suicide attempt among a small sample of hospitalized adolescents in a psychiatric setting.

Esta pesquisa enfoca um estudo de caso participante realizado em uma escola da rede pública em São Luís (MA). Recursos metodológicos: questionários, palestras, dinâmicas, recursos áudio-visuais, oficinas e ação social. Resultados dos questionários: para 88,68% (pré-teste) e 96,23% (pós-teste) dos alunos, o lixo prejudica o meio ambiente; para 81,13% (pré-teste) e 90,57% (pós-teste), aterro sanitário é destino corretos para o lixo; para 77,36% (pré-teste) e 88,68% (pós-teste), faz-se dobradura para reutilizar papel; 13,21% (pré-teste) e 54,72% (pós-teste) dos alunos sabem quais materiais são separados na coleta seletiva; 81,13% (pré-teste) e 96,23% (pós-teste) consideram a Educação Ambiental importante. Observou-se que os alunos apresentaram melhora no rendimento da avaliação final em relação a avaliação inicial. Palavras-chave: Educação Ambiental; escola; lixo. ABSTRACT: This research focuses a participant study of case realized in a public school in São Luís (MA). Methodological resources: questionnaires, lectures, use of animations and music, workshops and social action. Results of questionnaires to 88.68% (pre-test) and 96.23% (post-test) of the students, the garbage harms the environment, to 81.13% (pre-test) and 90.57% (post-test), landfill is a correct destination for the garbage; to 77.36% (pre-test) and 88.68% (post-test), we can reuse a scratched paper doing folding; 13.21% (pre-test) and 54.72% (posttest) of the students know what kind of materials are separated in the selective collection, 81.13% (pre-test) and 96.23% (post-test) considered important Environmental Education. It was noted that students showed improvement in the yield of the final assessment for initial evaluation. Keywords: Environmental Education; school; garbage.

Resumo No Seminário da ética, Lacan opôs a pastoral analítica à ética do “não ceder de seu desejo”. Ao pôr o desejo como parâmetro, tal ética questiona valores universais para alcançar uma suposta boa vida. Comparamos tal formulação à ética do “bem-dizer o desejo”, destacada por Lacan em Televisão. Se no Seminário 7 temos uma crítica aos ideais de felicidade associados ao mercado dos bens, na ética do “bem-dizer o desejo”, a felicidade aparece como parte do sintoma, vinculada aos diferentes modos de gozo, via possível para questionar a atual injunção a aproveitar, vinculada a uma certa cultura da alta performance. Abstract In the Seminar of ethics, Lacan has opposed the analytical pastoral and the “do not give away on your desire” ethics. By putting the desire as a parameter, such an ethics questions the universal values to achieve a supposed good life. Here we compare this formulation to the ethics of the “benedictory of desire”, highlighted by Lacan in Television. If in the 7th Seminar we have a critics about the ideal of happiness, associated to the market of the goods, on the “benedictoty of desire” ethics happiness appears only as a symptom, tied to the different modes of enjoyment, which is a possible way to question about the contemporary injunction to enjoy, bound to a certain “high performance” culture.

Lamellar silicates have been studied due their surface properties and lamellar structure. In this context, the magadiite and vermiculite, which are synthetic and natural lamellar silicates, respectively, can be chemically modified and applied as supports for immobilization of organic groups resulting in multifunctional solids. In this work was investigated the synthesis of nanoestructured solids, applying acid magadiite and sodium and lixiviated vermiculites (using HNO3 in the concentrations of 0.3; 0.5 and 0.8 mol dm-3) as supports for immobilization of the compounds ethylene sulfide (ES), 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (CPTS) and 1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine (AMP), forming the hybrids MagES, VCl and VAMP, respectively. The solids were characterized by elemental analysis of CHN, x-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, termogravimetry, nitrogen adsorption/desorption, 29Si and 13C NMR and scanning electronic microscopy. For the reaction of the molecule ES with magadiite, the maximum immobilized quantity of sulfur was 1.59 mmol/g. For the reactions of the vermiculites with the silane CPTS, the data were 1.78, 1.54 and 2.45 mmol/g of organic groups in the solids V0,3Cl, V0,5Cl and V0,8Cl, respectively. Between the silanized solids, the matrix V0,5Cl showed the higher number of molecules of the reagent AMP anchored comparing with the other lixiviated solids, showing the value of 1.64 mmol/g of nitrogen. The materials were applied for the retention of metallic ions Cu2+, Pb2+ and Cd2+ from aqueous solutions. The better conditions were established by kinetic and equilibrium tests. The maximum adsorption was observed for the ion Pb2+ in the solid MagES2, with retention of 0.59 mmol/g and for Cu2+ in the solid V0,5AMP with adsorption of 1.54 mmol/g. The adsorption processes were described by pseudo-second order kinetic. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were used for fitting of the experimental data showing good correlation. The results indicated that the organic modified solids were potential adsorbents for removing of metallic cations from aqueous solutions. Neste contexto a magadeíta e a vermiculita que são silicatos lamelares sintético e natural, respectivamente, podem ser quimicamente modificados sendo aplicados como suportes para imobilização de compostos orgânicos resultando em sólidos multifuncionais. Neste trabalho se investigou a síntese de sólidos nano-estruturados, utilizando magadeíta ácida e vermiculitas (sódica e lixiviadas com HNO3 nas concentrações 0,3; 0,5 e 0,8 mol dm-3) como suportes na imobilização dos compostos etileno sulfeto (ES), 3-cloropropiltrimetoxisilano (CPTS) e o 1-(2-aminoetil)piperazina (AMP), originando os híbridos MagES, VCl e VAMP, respectivamente. Os sólidos foram caracterizados pelas técnicas de difratometria de raios X, espectroscopia na região do infravermelho, análise termogravimétrica, análise de adsorção e dessorção de nitrogênio, análise elementar, RMN de 29Si e 13C e microscopia eletrônica de varredura. Na reação da molécula ES com magadeíta, a quantidade máxima imobilizada foi 1,59 mmol/g de enxofre. Para as reações das vermiculitas com o silano CPTS, os valores de grupos orgânicos foram 1,78, 1,54 e 2,45 mmol/g nos sólidos V0,3Cl, V0,5Cl e V0,8Cl, respectivamente. Entre os sólidos silanizados, a matriz V0,5Cl apresentou o maior número de moléculas do reagente AMP ancoradas em relação aos demais, cujo valor foi 1,64 mmol/g de nitrogênio. Os materiais foram aplicados para retenção de íons metálicos de Cu2+, Pb2+ e Cd2+ em solução aquosa. As melhores condições mediante ensaios cinéticos e de equilíbrio foram empregadas. A adsorção máxima de Pb2+ pelo sólido MagES2 foi 0,59 mmol/g e para o sólido nitrogenado V0,5AMP a adsorção máxima de Cu2+ foi 1,54 mmol/g. Os processos adsortivos seguiram uma cinética de pseudo-segunda ordem. Os modelos de Langmuir e Freundlich foram utilizados para ajustar os dados experimentais, apresentando boa correlação. Os resultados indicaram que os sólidos organicamente modificados são potenciais adsorventes na remoção de cátions metálicos de solução aquosa.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior This work focuses on the delimitation of the desire as a lack, in Seminar 7, of Jacques Lacan, and as an excess, in the Anti-Oedipus, of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. Lacan resumes Freud's criticism to "Love your neighbour as yourself" to discuss some ideas that came to lead what he called the analytical pastoral, focused on promises of happiness and a kind of orthopaedics of the subjects. One of the critical strategies for Lacan is the use of structuralism, which is also one of the focuses of the criticism from the Anti-Oedipus. Deleuze and Guattari oppose the desire as excess to the structured unconscious as language, permeated by a fundamental lack. When approaching the desire we consider that: a) it is impossible to create, or even to say, a concept, as well as to make a clinic without putting them as policy, b) it is impossible to think of concept or clinic without seeing them as responses to certain political issues c) the indifference in politics or philosophy is possible, but not the indifference to politics or philosophy. Thus, we focus on a study of the connections between the Seminar 7 and the Anti-Oedipus and some aspects of the intellectual-political French scene of the second half of the twentieth century that involved the participation of Lacan, Deleuze and Guattari, especially the structuralist "movement". Moreover, we focus on a study of the concept of desire as a lack, from which the coordinates are set from the Other. In the game distanceproximity of the Other, the incest s prohibition is placed as a fundamental for structuring the unconscious as a language. The decoys produced in this game connect themselves to the search of the object as a good that must be found again. But the Supreme Good is a good that has always been forbidden and, as such, a condition of the possibility of desire. The desire as excess was thought from the choice of Deleuze and Guattari for the historical perspective, which results in the defence of the posterity of the law, opposed to the existence of a primordial Law from which would be born the desire. Some implications in the field of ethics were highlight from these definitions of desire. In addition to the fact that Seminar 7 devotes itself to the ethics of psychoanalysis, established as a "not to yield to his desire," as a direct opposition to the analytical pastoral and its attempt to appease the desire, the Anti-Oedipus is also permeated by ethical issues. We mainly take into account the discussion of psychoanalysis as a theory and practice without an alibi and the Anti-Oedipus as a book of non-fascist ethics. Este trabalho volta-se à delimitação do desejo como falta, no Seminário 7, de Jacques Lacan, e como excesso, no Anti-Édipo, de Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari. Lacan retoma a crítica freudiana ao Amai ao próximo como a ti mesmo para discutir alguns ideais que passaram a guiar o que ele denominou de pastoral analítica, voltada a promessas de felicidade e a uma espécie de ortopedia dos sujeitos. Uma das estratégias críticas de Lacan é o uso do estruturalismo, o qual é também um dos focos das críticas do Anti-Édipo. Ao inconsciente estruturado como linguagem, perpassado por uma falta fundamental, Deleuze e Guattari opõem o desejo como excesso. Ao abordarmos o desejo consideramos que: a) é impossível criar, ou mesmo dizer, um conceito, bem como efetuar uma clínica sem que os coloquemos como política, b) é impossível pensar conceito ou clínica sem vê-los como respostas a certas questões políticas, c) é possível a indiferença em política ou em filosofia, mas não a indiferença à política ou à filosofia. Assim, voltamo-nos a um estudo das relações entre o Seminário 7 e O anti-Édipo e alguns aspectos do cenário político-intelectual francês da segunda metade do século XX que contaram com a participação de Lacan, Deleuze e Guattari, com destaque para o movimento estruturalista. Além disso, voltamo-nos a um estudo do conceito de desejo como falta, cujas coordenadas são estabelecidas frente ao Outro. No jogo de proximidade distanciamento do Outro, a proibição do incesto é colocada como fundamento da estruturação do inconsciente como linguagem. Os engodos produzidos neste jogo ligam-se à busca do objeto como um bem que se deve reencontrar. Mas o Bem Supremo é um bem proibido desde sempre e, como tal, condição de possibilidade do desejo. O desejo como excesso foi pensado a partir da escolha de Deleuze e Guattari pela perspectiva histórica, a qual tem como um dos resultados a defesa da posteridade da lei, contraposta à existência de uma Lei primordial da qual nasceria o desejo. Destas definições de desejo destacamos algumas implicações no campo da ética. Além de o Seminário 7 dedicar-se à ética da psicanálise, estabelecida como um não ceder de seu desejo , como contraponto direto à pastoral analítica e sua tentativa de apaziguar o desejo, O Anti-Édipo também é perpassado por questões éticas. Levamos em conta principalmente a discussão da psicanálise como uma teoria-prática sem álibi e do Anti-Édipo como um livro de ética não-fascista.
