1. A Wearable System Composed of FBG-Based Soft Sensors for Trunk Compensatory Movements Detection in Post-Stroke Hemiplegic Patients

Abstract

In this study, a novel wearable system for the identification of compensatory trunk movements (CTMs) in post-stroke hemiplegic patients is presented. The device is composed of seven soft sensing elements (SSEs) based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology. Each SSE consists of a single FBG encapsulated into a flexible matrix to enhance the sensor’s robustness and improve its compliance with the human body. The FBG’s small size, light weight, multiplexing capability, and biocompatibility make the proposed wearable system suitable for multi-point measurements without any movement restriction. Firstly, its manufacturing process is presented, together with the SSEs’ mechanical characterization to strain. Results of the metrological characterization showed a linear response of each SSE in the operating range. Then, the feasibility assessment of the proposed system is described. In particular, the device’s capability of detecting CTMs was assessed on 10 healthy volunteers and eight hemiplegic patients while performing three tasks which are representative of typical everyday life actions. The wearable system showed good potential in detecting CTMs. This promising result may foster the use of the proposed device on post-stroke patients, aiming at assessing the proper course of the rehabilitation process both in clinical and domestic settings. Moreover, its use may aid in defining tailored strategies to improve post-stoke patients’ motor recovery and quality of life.

Abstract

Plants are primary resources for oxygen and foods whose production is fundamental for our life. However, diseases and pests may interfere with plant growth and cause a significant reduction of both the quality and quantity of agriculture products. Increasing agricultural productivity is crucial for poverty reduction and food security improvements. For this reason, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development gives a central role to agriculture by promoting a strong technological innovation for advancing sustainable practices at the plant level. To accomplish this aim, recently, wearable sensors and flexible electronics have been extended from humans to plants for measuring elongation, microclimate, and stressing factors that may affect the plant’s healthy growth. Unexpectedly, fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs), which are very popular in health monitoring applications ranging from civil infrastructures to the human body, are still overlooked for the agriculture sector. In this work, for the first time, plant wearables based on FBG technology are proposed for the continuous and simultaneous monitoring of plant growth and environmental parameters (i.e., temperature and humidity) in real settings. The promising results demonstrated the feasibility of FBG-based sensors to work in real situations by holding the promise to advance continuous and accurate plant health growth monitoring techniques.

Abstract

In this work, we report novel relative humidity sensors realized by functionalising fibre Bragg gratings with chitosan, a moisture-sensitive biopolymer never used before for this kind of fibre optic sensor. The swelling capacity of chitosan is fundamental to the sensing mechanism. Different samples were fabricated, testing the influence of coating design and deposition procedure on sensor performance. The sensitivity of the sensors was measured in an airtight humidity-controlled chamber using saturated chemical salt solutions. The best result in terms of sensitivity was obtained for a sensor produced on filter paper substrate. Tests for each design were performed in the environment, lasted several days, and all designs were independently re-tested at different seasons of the year. The produced sensors closely followed the ambient humidity variation common to the 24-h circadian cycle.

Abstract

Grasping is one of the first dominant motor behaviors that enable interaction of a newborn infant with its surroundings. Although atypical grasping patterns are considered predictive of neuromotor disorders and injuries, their clinical assessment suffers from examiner subjectivity, and the neuropathophysiology is poorly understood. Therefore, the combination of technology with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) may help to precisely map the brain activity associated with grasping and thus provide important insights into how functional outcomes can be improved following cerebral injury. This work introduces an MR-compatible device (i.e., smart graspable device (SGD)) for detecting grasping actions in newborn infants. Electromagnetic interference immunity (EMI) is achieved using a fiber Bragg grating sensor. Its biocompatibility and absence of electrical signals propagating through the fiber make the safety profile of the SGD particularly favorable for use with fragile infants. Firstly, the SGD design, fabrication, and metrological characterization are described, followed by preliminary assessments on a preterm newborn infant and an adult during an fMRI experiment. The results demonstrate that the combination of the SGD and fMRI can safely and precisely identify the brain activity associated with grasping behavior, which may enable early diagnosis of motor impairment and help guide tailored rehabilitation programs.

Abstract

Use of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) to monitor high temperature (HT) applications is of great interest to the research community. Standard commercial FBGs can operate up to 600 ∘ C. For applications beyond that value, specific processing of the FBGs must be adopted to allow the grating not to deteriorate. The most common technique used to process FBGs for HT applications is the regeneration procedure (RP), which typically extends their use up to 1000 ∘ C. RP involves a long-term annealing of the FBGs, to be done at a temperature ranging from 550 to 950 ∘ C. As at that temperature, the original coating of the FBGs would burn out, they shall stay uncoated, and their brittleness is a serious concern to deal with. Depositing a metal coating on the FBGs prior to process them for RP offers an effective solution to provide them with the necessary mechanical strengthening. In this paper, a procedure to provide the FBG with a bimetallic coating made by copper and nickel electrodeposition (ED) is proposed, discussing issues related to the coating morphology, adherence to the fiber, and effects on the grating spectral response. To define the processing parameters of the proposed procedure, production tests were performed on dummy samples which were used for destructive SEM–EDS analysis. As a critical step, the proposed procedure was shown to necessitate a heat treatment after the nickel ED, to remove the absorbed hydrogen. The spectral response of the FBG samples was monitored along the various steps of the proposed procedure and, as a final proof test for adherence stability of the bimetallic coating, along a heating/cooling cycle from room temperature to 1010 ∘ C. The results suggest that, given the emergence of Kirkendall voids at the copper–nickel interface, occurring at the highest temperatures (700–1010 ∘ C), the bimetallic layer could be employed as FBG coating up to 700 ∘ C.

Abstract

In precision sports, the control of breathing and heart rate is crucial to help the body to remain stable in the shooting position. To improve stability, archers try to adopt similar breathing patterns and to have a low heartbeat during each shot. We proposed an easy-to-use and unobtrusive smart textile (ST) which is able to detect chest wall excursions due to breathing and heart beating. The sensing part is based on two FBGs housed into a soft polymer matrix to optimize the adherence to the chest wall and the system robustness. The ST was assessed on volunteers to figure out its performance in the estimation of respiratory frequency (fR) and heart rate (HR). Then, the system was tested on two archers during four shooting sessions. This is the first study to monitor cardio-respiratory activity on archers during shooting. The good performance of the ST is supported by the low mean absolute percentage error for fR and HR estimation (≤1.97% and ≤5.74%, respectively), calculated with respect to reference signals (flow sensor for fR, photopletismography sensor for HR). Moreover, results showed the capability of the ST to estimate fR and HR during different phases of shooting action. The promising results motivate future investigations to speculate about the influence of fR and HR on archers’ performance.

Abstract

There is a growing demand of comfortable and unobtrusive wearable systems for monitoring a variety of physiological parameters and in particular the respiratory frequency ( ${f}_{R}$ ). The most popular techniques for ${f}_{R}$ monitoring cannot be used in several clinical applications and in unstructured environment. These issues have fostered a dramatic growth of interest for wearable systems devoted to monitor ${f}_{R}$ . In this arena, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have gained due to a variety of benefits. In this work, we designed and fabricated an FBG-based wearable device for ${f}_{R}$ monitoring from the nasal airflow. The proposed design does not require a mask to improve the comfortability and acceptability of the system. The sensing element was functionalized by a hygroscopic coating material to make the FBG sensitive to relative humidity changes. This feature allows calculating ${f}_{R}$ starting from the discrimination between the inspiration and expiration phases. A pilot study on 6 volunteers was designed to assess the system during three different breathing stages (i.e., slow, normal and fast breathing). Results showed high performance of the proposed wearable device in detecting mean and breath-by-breath ${f}_{R}$ values (i.e., mean percentage errors ≤ 2.29 % and bias ≤ 0.31 breaths per minute) during slow breathing, normal breathing, and fast breathing.

Abstract

Cultural heritage protection and safeguarding is a clear problem for the worldwide community because the legacy and identity of communities has to be kept alive and transmitted to future generations. To this end optical technologies have an important role to play in defining state-of-the-art conservation, guiding restauration, and exploring new opportunities in virtual and augmented realities where other complementary information can be merged. ENEA has developed different laser-based sensors for remote and local diagnostics that have already been deployed in field campaigns implementing different spectroscopic techniques that supply prompt information in real time and are non-destructive and non-invasive as regards the artifact being studied. Here the technical characteristics and performances of the tools are briefly described, and examples provided of monitoring applications of paintings, statues, woods, metals and structural observations (tensions and vibrations).

Abstract

Cultural Heritage objects located in turbulent areas with a significant risk of terrorist attacks or inside a war zone are at risk of suffering damages similar to those in scenarios of severe seismic events, which are associated with partial or total building collapse and the subsequent need for monitoring, consolidation and successive reconstruction. To this end the availability of digital data collected by optical and spectroscopic laser scanners before the catastrophic event and stored as digital high resolution 2D and 3D maps can be a unique valuable support for future reconstruction. Conversely, continuous fiber glass monitoring may ensure reference data to evaluate the event impact and aid in planning consolidation. Examples of successful application of high-performance ENEA laser scanner prototypes in central Italy on monuments exposed to severe seismic risk are reported so as to illustrate the importance of storing quality 3D optical data before the event. The importance of fiber sensor monitoring during and after a seismic event in the same area is also shown from the collected data. Different examples of 3D reconstructions based on optical and spectroscopic data obtained within regional projects dealing with archaeological fragments (Roman frescoes and relief sculpture) are discussed, as regards their use in reconstructing from fragments in the aftermath of a catastrophic event.

Respiratory diseases are common in post-stroke hemiplegic patients and represent a major social problem as they worsen the quality of life and reduce the life span. As a consequence, being able to monitor respiratory parameters such as the respiratory rate (RR) and assess the presence of respiratory asynchronies could be of paramount importance to define hemiplegics’ health status. Moreover, RR is a useful parameter to investigate the level of fatigue and distress that these patients undergo during rehabilitation processes. Although motion capture systems and flowmeters are the leading instruments for respiratory pattern evaluation, smart wearable systems are gaining ever more acceptance since they allow continuous monitoring by detecting chest wall breathing displacements, ensuring reduced costs and no need for dedicated spaces. Among other sensing technologies, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have emerged thanks to their high sensitivity to strain, lightness, and multiplexing capability. In this work, a wearable system composed of four flexible dumbbell-shaped sensing modules is proposed for respiratory monitoring in hemiplegic patients. The system is light and easy to wear and can be adapted to any anthropometry thanks to the modular anchoring system. Its feasibility assessment in RR evaluation was performed on seven hemiplegic volunteers in eupnea and tachypnea breathing conditions. In addition, an explorative investigation was conducted to assess the system’s ability to detect asynchronies between torso compartments. The good results suggest that this device could be a useful instrument to support clinicians and operators in hemiplegic patients’ management.

A continuous monitoring of cardiorespiratory activity can play an essential role in the health prevention since the cardiovascular and ventilatory systems regulate several vital functions of the human body and adapt themselves in response to various stressors. Typically, early detection of cardiorespiratory irregularities is performed by monitoring respiratory and heart rate (RR and HR) at rest. Among several technological solutions, the most promising are based on mechanical and optical systems such as gyroscopes (GYRs) and accelerometers in inertial measurement units, and fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) embedded into wearable and non-wearable items.In this work, we investigated the capability of a mechanical system (i.e., a GYR) and an optical system (i.e., a flexible sensor based on FBG) to perform the simultaneous RR and HR monitoring. The system placement varied according to the sensor type to ensure the best unobtrusive cardiorespiratory monitoring: the GYR was worn on the chest, and the FBG-based flexible sensor was placed on a chair in contact with the chest back. Results showed similar performances between the mechanical and optical systems when compared to a reference instrument (mean absolute percentage error -MAPE < 7.7% and 6.1% for HR and MAPE ≤ 0.23% and 1.7% for RR for the FBG and the GYR, respectively).

Abstract

The use of face masks as respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is considered key to maintaining the quality of life during emergency situations, long-term care and working conditions. Face masks can reduce the virus spread and bacterial infections as well as prevent the inhalation of industrial waste gases. Individuals who wear a facial mask over a prolonged time often reported uncomfortable feelings due to breathing resistance, heat, tightness, and overall discomfort. One of the main indicators used to quantify the level of discomfort induced by RPE is the respiratory rate (RR). In fact, RR can be directly associated with RPE-related unease since the presence of facial masks might intuitively modify the breathing pattern of the users. Unfortunately, still little is known about RR and its variability in response to wearing RPE. In the last year, the massive use of face masks due to COVID-19 pandemic fosters the development of sensors to measure RR once mounted into the medical mask. Among other, fiber Bragg grating sensors (FBGs) have gained growing attention since the intrinsic advantages of small size, lightweight, high metrological properties, and safety. In the present study, a single-use FFP2 surgical mask was instrumented by a soft sensor based on FBG to perform a longterm acquisition (i.e., 20 min) of the respiratory signal during ordinary work activities at the video terminal. The promising results confirmed the high accuracy of the proposed system in the estimation of RR with a maximum discrepancy of −0.69 breaths per minute and mean absolute percentage error of 2.88% when compared to a reference instrument. Moreover, no saturation of the sensor output occurred during the usage time.

Abstract

The importance of humidity control is spreading through a broad spectrum of applications, from food and pharmaceutical industries to biomedical and chemical fields. During the last decades, the growing interest in fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) led to new approaches and applications for the humidity measurement by means of the deposition of hygroscopic materials on gratings. The influence of the coating material and its features such us coating thickness (tk) and concentration (wt%) on static and dynamic metrological properties have been investigated in this paper. In this paper, four agar-coated FBG sensors for humidity measurements have been fabricated, and the influence of tk and wt% on the sensors’ sensitivity and response time has been experimentally assessed. Sensitivity increases with tk and wt%: for instance, at 1 wt% it was $0.0024\,\,\text {nm}\cdot {\%}^{\mathrm {-1}}$ and $0.0052\,\,\text {nm}\cdot {\%}^{\mathrm {-1}}$ for $\text {tk}=87\,\,\mu \text{m}$ and $\text {tk} = 212\,\,\mu \text{m}$ , respectively. Results showed that also the response time increased with tk and wt%: for instance, at 1 wt% it was 56.7 s and 107.6 s for $\text {tk} = 87\,\,\mu \text{m}$ and $\text {tk}=212\,\,\mu \text{m}$ , respectively.

Abstract

After the Phase-2 high-luminosity upgrade to the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the collision rate and therefore the background rate will significantly increase, particularly in the high $\eta$ region. To improve both the tracking and triggering of muons, the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Collaboration plans to install triple-layer Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors in the CMS muon endcaps. Demonstrator GEM detectors were installed in CMS during 2017 to gain operational experience and perform a preliminary investigation of detector performance. We present the results of triple-GEM detector performance studies performed in situ during normal CMS and LHC operations in 2018. The distribution of cluster size and the efficiency to reconstruct high $p_T$ muons in proton--proton collisions are presented as well as the measurement of the environmental background rate to produce hits in the GEM detector., Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures

Abstract

The Time Projection Chamber (TPC) is an ideal candidate to finely study the charged particle ionization in a gaseous medium. Large volume TPCs can be readout with a suitable number of channels offering a complete 3D reconstruction of a charged particle track, that is the sequence of its energy releases in the TPC gas volume. Moreover, He-based TPCs are very promising to study keV energy particles as nuclear recoils, opening the possibility for directional searches of Dark Matter (DM) and the study of Solar Neutrinos (SN). In this paper we report the analysis of the data acquired with a small TPC prototype (named LEMOn) built by the CYGNO collaboration that was exposed to a beam of 450 MeV electrons at the Beam Test Facility of National Laboratories of Frascati. LEMOn is operated with a He-C F 4 mixture at atmospheric pressure and is based on a Gas Electron Multipliers amplification stage that produces visible light collected by the high granularity and very good sensitivity of scientific CMOS camera. This type of readout – in conjunction with a fast light detection – allows a 3D reconstruction of the electrons tracks. The electrons are leaving a trail of clusters of ionizations corresponding to a few keV energy release each. Their study leads to predict a keV energy threshold and 1–10 mm longitudinal and 0.1–0.3 mm transverse position resolution (sigma) for nuclear recoils, very promising for the application of optically read out TPC to DM searches and SN measurements.

Abstract

The CYGNO project aims at developing a high resolution Time Projection Chamber with optical readout for directional dark matter searches and solar neutrino spectroscopy. Peculiar CYGNO’s features are the 3D tracking capability provided by the combination of photomultipliers and scientific CMOS camera signals, combined with a helium-fluorine-based gas mixture at atmospheric pressure amplified by gas electron multipliers structures. In this paper, the performances achieved with CYGNO prototypes and the prospects for the upcoming underground installation at Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso of a 50-L detector in fall 2021 will be discussed, together with the plans for a 1-m3 experiment. The synergy with the ERC consolidator, grant project INITIUM, aimed at realising negative ion drift operation within the CYGNO 3D optical approach, will be further illustrated.

Abstract

Safety at work is driving the development of new technological solutions in the era of Industry 4.0. Among others, systems able to monitor physiological parameters are gaining high relevance since such devices have the potential to improve the workers' safety. In this perspective, the respiratory rate can provide useful information since it is sensitive to many environmental stressors. In this study, we focused on the development of a test bench to assess the performance of a wearable system for respiratory monitoring. The presented system achieves data collection and synchronization from FBG sensors, a reference flowmeter and, an M-IMU unit. In addition, a GUI has been developed in order to guide the volunteer in the execution of selected movements during the experimental session. The proposed system could further facilitate the design and development of solutions for assessing wearables for workers' activities monitoring.

Abstract

In recent years, ever more workers are employed in sedentary jobs spending many hours sitting at video terminals. Discomfort office furniture and incorrect video screen positioning, as well as bad postural attitudes lead to the occurrence of back musculoskeletal disorders. Low back pain is one of the most widespread disease which causes a heavy socio- economic burden as it leads to absence from workplace and use of the National Health Service. In this scenario, being able to continuously evaluate poor postural attitudes may be beneficial to correct postural habits, and so to reduce the incidence of such a disease. For this purpose, many technologies capable to detect the spinal range of motions (ROMs) have been developed. Among others, the use of optical fiber sensors is gaining momentum, since these sensors allow the development of wearable, light and non-invasive monitoring systems. The present work aims at assessing the capability of a custom-made smart textile based on FBG sensors in detecting back dorsal flexion-extension (F/E) movements. Experimental results show high sensitivity to strain of the smart textile and confirm the system capability of monitoring back dorsal F/E movements in time.

The second LHC long shutdown period (LS2) is an important opportunity for the CMS Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) to complete their consolidation and upgrade projects. The consolidation includes detector maintenance for gas tightness, HV (high voltage), LV (low voltage) and slow control operation. All services for the RPC Phase-2 upgrade, namely RE3/1 and RE4/1, were anticipated for installation to LS2. Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders are the most common form of occupational ill-health. Neck pain is one of the most prevalent musculoskeletal disorders experienced by computer workers. Wrong postural habits and non-compliance of the workstation to ergonomics guidelines are the leading causes of neck pain. These factors may also alter respiratory functions. Health and safety interventions can reduce neck pain and, more generally, the symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders and reduce the consequent economic burden. In this work, a multi-parametric wearable system based on two fiber Bragg grating sensors is proposed for monitoring neck movements and breathing activity of computer workers. The sensing elements were positioned on the neck, in the frontal and sagittal planes, to monitor: (i) flexion-extension and axial rotation repetitions, and (ii) respiratory frequency. In this pilot study, five volunteers were enrolled and performed five repetitions of both flexion-extension and axial rotation, and ten breaths of both quite breathing and tachypnea. Results showed the good performances of the proposed system in monitoring the aforementioned parameters when compared to optical reference systems. The wearable system is able to well-match the trend in time of the neck movements (both flexion-extension and axial rotation) and to estimate mean and breath-by-breath respiratory frequency values with percentage errors &le, 6.09% and &le, 1.90%, during quiet breathing and tachypnea, respectively.

Abstract

We present analytical calculations, Finite Element Analysis modeling, and physical measurements of the interstrip capacitances for different potential strip geometries and dimensions of the readout boards for the GE2/1 triple-Gas Electron Multiplier detector in the CMS muon system upgrade. The main goal of the study is to find configurations that minimize the interstrip capacitances and consequently maximize the signal-to-noise ratio for the detector. We find agreement at the 1.5--4.8% level between the two methods of calculations and on the average at the 17% level between calculations and measurements. A configuration with halved strip lengths and doubled strip widths results in a measured 27--29% reduction over the original configuration while leaving the total number of strips unchanged. We have now adopted this design modification for all eight module types of the GE2/1 detector and will produce the final detector with this new strip design., Comment: 22 pages, 14 figures

The high-luminosity phase of the Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) will result in ten times higher particle background than measured during the first phase of LHC operation. In order to fully exploit the highly-demanding operating conditions during HL-LHC, the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Collaboration will use Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detector technology. The technology will be integrated into the innermost region of the forward muon spectrometer of CMS as an additional muon station called GE11. Abstract

The CYGNO project has the goal to use a gaseous TPC with optical readout to detect dark matter and solar neutrinos with low energy threshold and directionality. The CYGNO demonstrator will consist of 1 m 3 volume filled with He:CF 4 gas mixture at atmospheric pressure. Optical readout with high granularity CMOS sensors, combined with fast light detectors, will provide a detailed reconstruction of the event topology. This will allow to discriminate the nuclear recoil signal from the background, mainly represented by low energy electron recoils induced by radioactivity. Thanks to the high reconstruction efficiency, CYGNO will be sensitive to low mass dark matter, and will have the potential to overcome the neutrino floor, that ultimately limits non-directional dark matter searches.

Abstract

The performance and long term stability of an optically readout Time Projection Chamber with an electron amplification structure based on three Gas Electron Multipliers was studied. He/CF$_4$ based gas mixtures were used in two different proportions (60/40 and 70/30) in a CYGNO prototype with 7 litres sensitive volume. With electrical configurations providing very similar electron gains, an almost full detection efficiency in the whole detector volume was found with both mixtures, while a light yield about 20\% larger for the 60/40 was found. The electrostatic stability was tested by monitoring voltages and currents during 25 days. The detector worked in very stable and safe condition for the whole period. In the presence of less CF$_4$, a larger probability of unstable events was clearly detected.

Abstract

The search for a novel technology, which is able to detect and reconstruct nuclear recoil events in the keV energy range, has become increasingly important now that vast regions of high mass weakly-interacting-massive-particle–like dark matter candidates have been excluded. Gaseous time projection chambers (TPC) with optical readout are very promising candidates combining the complete event information provided by the TPC technique with the high sensitivity and granularity of the latest generation light sensors. A TPC with an amplification at the anode, obtained with gas electron multipliers (GEMs), was tested at the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati. Photons and neutrons from radioactive sources were employed to induce recoiling nuclei and electrons with kinetic energy in the range 1–100 keV. A He-CF4 (60/40) gas mixture was used at atmospheric pressure and the light produced during the multiplication in the GEM channels was acquired by a high-position resolution and low-noise complementary metal-oxide semiconductor camera and a photomultiplier. A multi-stage pattern recognition algorithm based on an advanced clustering technique is presented here. A number of cluster-shaped observables are used to identify nuclear recoils induced by neutrons, which originated from a AmBe source against x-ray 55Fe photoelectrons. An efficiency of 18% to detect nuclear recoils with an energy of about 6 keV is reached, while suppressing 96% of the 55Fe photoelectrons, making this optical read-out gas TPC a very promising candidate for future investigations of ultra-rare events such as directional direct dark matter searches.

Abstract

Relative Humidity (RH) sensors based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology have been fabricated by polymer functionalization, using hygroscopic material, namely agar. The sensor is specifically intended to monitor moisture in stones of cultural heritage buildings and monuments, in particular to be positioned under hydrophobic coatings used for protecting stones from absorption of water and dissolved chemicals, thus providing early warning of coating deterioration by RH monitoring. The performance of the prototype was first tested exposing the sensors in controlled environment and then assessed for the application simulating “in field” operating conditions, with sensors installed on marble and travertine tiles. Results show that the proposed sensor is able to monitor the presence of moisture inside the stones. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd
