The article reflects on the policy of the U.S. Department of Education regarding the protection of transgender students with the policies on interscholastic participation of transgender athletes under the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. It mentions that the varying state polices relating to transgender athletes with discriminatory policies. It also mentions that need of policy changes to protect transgender interscholastic athletes.
