Purpose: The fear of COVID-19 has been identified as a significant predictor of adverse work-related outcomes. Grounded on conservation of resource theory, this study examines the impact of fear of COVID-19 on faculty members' job turnover intention (TI) and job insecurity, as well as the relationship between job insecurity and TI. Additionally, the authors investigate job insecurity as a potential mediating variable between the fear of COVID-19 and TI. Design/methodology/approach: Data were collected from faculty members (n = 226) working in Pakistan's public sector universities and analysed through PLS-SEM using SmartPLS software. Findings: The results indicated that fear of COVID-19 was positively and significantly associated with both TI and job insecurity. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that job insecurity has a positive correlation with TI. In addition, the study's findings endorsed the mediating role of job insecurity between fear of COVID-19 and TI. Practical implications: The study highlights the importance of addressing the fear of COVID-19 and job insecurity among faculty members, as they are significant predictors of TI. The findings suggest employers should prioritise providing a safe work environment and reducing uncertainty to retain their workforce during the pandemic. Originality/value: This study adds to the literature as it conceptualises the indirect mechanism that links fear of COVID-19 to TI and job insecurity and provides practical implications that may reduce faculty members' TI.

In response to escalating environmental concerns and the imperative for sustainable development, corporations have turned to eco‐innovation (EI) to enhance competitiveness and reduce ecological footprints. This study scrutinizes 17 European Commission EI‐awarded companies from 1990 to 2021, uncovering pivotal dimensions and archetypes that drive successful EI implementation. Internal drivers, including management commitment and agile work structures, are paramount for "Believers" who champion sustainability as a core value. "Sellers" strategically respond to market demands, while "Beneficiaries" follow regulatory mandates. The academic implications are profound, providing a robust foundation for future research. This typology contributes to the discourse surrounding EI development and diffusion while offering corporate managers tangible guidance for tailored EI strategies. It illuminates how distinct motives lead to nuanced combinations of internal and external drivers. A democratic government should adhere to firm public administration principles, legal instruments, structures and mechanisms. However, providing these elements is insufficient to guarantee integrated participative service delivery. This article aims to unravel the most important elements required to create a participative governance model that fuses horizontal intra-relationships between public officials and departments and vertical interactions between public and private networks. The research methodology entailed a critical desktop document analysis of books, articles, regulatory policy and strategy documents. Network governance was conceptually and contextually analysed through unobtrusive research methods. It served as a possible analytical model for democratic governance, where citizens take centre stage in participative decision-making. The findings provide both a description and a contextualisation of the themes that emerged from the research. The article highlights that the network governance model could help South Africa move forward from a dated, elitist democracy based on a dependency model, to a participative democracy model, where communities and government work together. The article concludes that South Africa can only realise the National Development Plans (NDPs) 2030 goals (to maximise people's development, strengthen governance networks and enhance state's capacity to provide adequate public services) by drawing on partnerships within a network governance framework.

Entrepreneurship has become a primary driver of economic growth, innovation, and development. This is specifically relevant for developing countries where poverty and high unemployment rates are prevalent. This study's primary objective focuses on understanding and predicting factors that motivate female entrepreneurs to remain in and ultimately grow their businesses. A quantitative research approach was utilized following a descriptive, single-sample cross-sectional design. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 510 South African female entrepreneurs. The data were analyzed using various statistical methods such as descriptive, correlation, and canonical correlation analyses. The core findings of this study suggest that South African female entrepreneurs' have fervent intentions not only to remain active entrepreneurs but to pursue business growth with a tenacious attitude toward business success, despite operating in a challenging environment. By ascertaining the various factors contributing to most female entrepreneurs' choice to remain in business, it may provide an impetus to develop appropriate policies to encourage female empowerment, job creation, and business development. These policies could provide significant assistance that allows females to remain in business and increase their growth potential, leading to more significant economic growth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The discipline of shopping tourism has seen a surge in published research in recent years, covering a wide range of topics and issues. However, there are surprisingly few reviews and/or bibliometric studies to review and visually map the literature in this field of research. As a result, the present work has employed a comprehensive bibliometric and systematic review concerning shopping tourismrelated articles published in academic journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases between 1979 and 2021. Two methodologies were used in this bibliometric analysis. The first is performance analysis, which analyzes the contributions of the components that comprise research in shopping tourism. The second method is scientific mapping, which outlines the connections (i.e., intellectual, social, and conceptual structure) between facets related to shopping tourism. Using Bradford's and Lotka's laws, the research revealed a remarkable increase in shopping tourism sources, authors, and articles, reflecting a substantial evolutionary curve of this research theme. Various affiliations and countries have contributed considerably to shopping tourism research during the period. The analysis of science mapping produced a substantial understanding of shopping tourism's social, intellectual, and conceptual structure. This review article provides several implications for research via perspicuous overviews and insights into shopping tourism, Big Data, and its knowledge structures. It also holds a variety of practical implications for tourism policymakers, destination management organizations (DMOs), and tourism marketers regarding the key themes, new trends, and main contributors to shopping tourism research over four decades of research. Background: MBA programmes are considered flagship business programmes for business individuals. Business schools are often revered for being cuttingedge and critical business thought centres. However, over the years, programmes such as the MBA have been criticised due to their relevance. Changes such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the 4th Industrial Revolution, and increasing global political instability have resulted in harsher trading environments for business. As the business landscape evolves, so too are business schools' programmes, such as the MBA, required to evolve. Purpose: This study explored the efficacy of a sample of South African MBA programmes concerning their perceived efficacy in developing leaders fit for the 4th Industrial Revolution. Methodology: The study conducted a series of semi-structured qualitative interviews with identified stakeholders relating to the business school ecosystem to explore perceived opinions of the efficacy of business schools in programmes such as the MBA. Findings: The analysis from the interviews revealed that MBA programmes in South Africa need to enhance their focus on aspects such as technology-linked technical skills, as this is a key driver that continues to shape the business landscape.
