- Abstract
Sufism is the way of life of the spiritual belief system that has an impact on both religious and social life as well as literature and culture, and that is lived with the provisions of Islam's zâhir and bâtın. The fact that most of the poets in the field of Dîvân literature belonged to religious orders led to the emergence of our religious-sufistic literature, and the development process of Sufi literature was shaped by these Sufi poets. The role of Sufism in the adoption of religion and its relationship with life has shaped not only the self-training but also our religious and Sufi literature. Sufi poets, walking in the footsteps of the sect to which they belonged, expressed their devotion to this sect in their verses, tried to explain and spread the teachings of this sect, and wrote verses praising the elders of the related sect. Mawlana Jalāl al-Dīn al-Rūmī, who is one of the most important figures in the leaven of Anatolia as a scholar, Sufi and poet, and Mawlawīism, which was formed in relation to him, have been the subject of eulogies by the Sufi poets who are members of this order. There are many studies on Mawlānā's thought and works both in Anatolia, the East and the West. Some of these studies are based on the praise of Mawlānā himself and his works, especially Masnavi Manawī. The Mevlevî sheikh Aşkî Mustafa Efendi, who was born in Kilis in the nineteenth century, completed his education in Egypt and spent his life in Mecca and Medina, is one of the last representatives of the Sufi poets who wrote some of these works. Aşkî Mustafa Efendi's Der Na't-ı Mesnevî ve Sâhib-i Mesnevî, a work of one hundred and thirty-three couplets written in the form of mesnevî verse, is a work that praises both Mevlana and his Mesnevî-i Manevi, which has been read for centuries. Der Na't-ı Mesnevî ve Sâhib-i Mesnevî, which is a na't in genre, is also a different sample text in terms of the elifnâme genre with the elifnâme it contains. Na't, as a genre, was written especially for the Prophet, but na't was also written for the Ahl al-Bayt and the four caliphs. Aşkî Mustafa Efendi's na't, on the other hand, praises Mawlana Jalāl al-Dīn al-Rūmī as a person and his most important work, Mesnevî-i Manevi. In terms of straight, reverse, straight-reverse, alphabetized rhymes, educational and recreational elifnâme types, Aşkî's Der Na't-ı Mesnevî and Sâhib-i Mesnevî are examples of straight elifnâmes with a total of nineteen couplets. Aşkî Mustafa Efendi's voluminous Dîvânand a three-volume work on the history of Medina, Ta'tirü Ercâi'd-Dawleti'l-Majîdiyye bi-Tîbi Ahbâri Beledi Hayri'l-Beriyye, translated and edited at the request of Sultan Abdülmecid and based on Semhûdî's Vefâü’l-vefâ, He has masnavis named Aşknâme, Vahdetnâme, Mirâcnâme and Sâkînâme and academic studies have been made on these works. A comprehensive study on his work Der Na't-ı Mesnevî ve Sâhib-i Mesnevî has not been conducted so far. This article will only briefly touch upon the life of Aşkî Mustafa Efendi, analyze Der Na't-ı Mesnawī ve Sāhib-i Mesnawī in terms of na't and elifnāme genre, reveal its content and include the text of this masnavi in translation.
