Emotions are highly influential variables in tourism. While emotions have gained momentum and have been regularly studied by tourism scholars in various aspects of tourism, social and non-social emotions remain underexplored, especially in heritage tourism. Considering the power of heritage YouTube vlogs in eliciting emotions that are essential in creating sustainability for heritage sites, this qualitative sentiment analysis investigation was undertaken to surface the social and non-social emotions present in the comments posted on select YouTube heritage vlogs. Accordingly, sixty-four (n = 64) heritage vlogs featuring the Historic City of Vigan, Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras, and Baroque Churches of the Philippines were utilized. Using Data Miner, three thousand eighty-nine (n = 3,089) significant YouTube comments were extracted, filtered, and underwent Phronetic Iterative Data Analysis (Tracy, 2013, Qualitative research methods: Collecting evidence, crafting analysis, communicating impact, 2nd ed., John Wiley & Sons). Consequently, a protractor model dubbed as Vlogs as a protractor of audience social and non-social emotions with its three angles of reminiscence, intrigue, and desire emerged where various time perspectives and accompanying groups of social and non-social emotions generated by heritage vlogs situate themselves. Theoretically, this study expands the applicability of social and non-social emotions in heritage research while practically providing heritage tourism practitioners with information on utilizing social media to understand and promote heritage sites to online viewers. The COVID-19 pandemic has undeniably imposed significant limitations on all aspects of education, necessitating educators to adopt more creative approaches to deliver high-quality education to students. This holds particularly true for teaching Philippine folk dances, a topic in physical education that traditionally involves close physical contact, which is currently unfeasible due to social distancing restrictions. Guided by Tanner and Tanner’s (1980) Levels of Curriculum Involvement and de Guzman’s (2014) Principle of Decolonisation, this viewpoint article aims to offer insights on how the potential of creativity can be leveraged and empower educators to teach Philippine folk dances in the post-pandemic context. One of the unfortunate consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic is the millions of laid-off employees in the airline industry due to travel restrictions imposed worldwide to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Such a scenario has prompted the emergence and prevalence of the second career phenomenon. This research note attempted to explore online news articles and videos via manifest content analysis. Despite the physical limitations that characterize the older person population, the United Nations continues to rally for the recognition and appreciation of the talents among this group to boost global development goals. Evidently, the introduction and expansion of Got Talent® shows globally, with its inclusive format that allows older participants to showcase their talents are promising frontiers to facilitate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Madrid International Plan of Action on Aging. This inquiry seeks to elucidate the trends in older person's participation in Got Talent® competitions from 2015 to 2020. Twenty-six (n = 26) purposively selected Got Talent® audition videos involving older persons, uploaded on YouTube were subjected to Manifest Content Analysis (MCA). Results indicate a growing number of auditions involving older adults, with singing as the most prevalent talent being showcased, for the last 5 years. Anchored on Dowling and Pfeffer's (1975) Legitimacy Theory, this thematic content analysis paper purports to understand the ontology of various social responsibility-driven initiatives of chefs in various countries. Specifically, YouTube videos and online news published by major search engines were content analysed. Interestingly, a concept dubbed as The Anatomy of a Caring Chef during the COVID-19 Pandemic, consisting of three constructs of chefs as the Community Supporter, Community Leverager, and Community Enabler, emerged that offers an interesting portrait of global chefs' corporate social responsibility in this challenging times. Happiness, a construct widely studied since ancient times, has permeated the field of tourism studies for its capacity to promote well-being and satisfaction among tourists. However, in a festival context, studies on happiness remain a research imperative to date. This phenomenological inquiry seeks to elucidate the ontology of festival happiness among a select group of Filipino repeat participants in three major community festivals in the Philippines. Twenty-one (n=21) purposively selected participants were involved and subjected to a semi-structured interview. Field texts were analyzed via primary and secondary coding analyses and through constant comparison of data, the Cone of Repeat Participants Festival Happiness consisting of distinct views of festival happiness as rootedness and responsibility has emerged in this qualitative study. Notably, the notion of festival happiness as rootedness emphasizes the role of aesthetics, spirituality, and nostalgia as these evoke pleasant emotions such as pride, appreciation, and devotion among festival participants. While the second notion, named festival happiness as responsibility, underscores that participation, growing with the festival, and contributing to its success may form happy, empathic, resilient, and altruistic festival participants.
