Bu araştırma, girişimcilik temelli STEM eğitiminin ortaokul öğrencilerinin öz düzenleme becerileri üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında 8.sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 20 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada karma yöntem tercih edilmiştir ve tek gruplu ön test-son test modeli kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin elde edilmesinde “Algılanan Öz Düzenleme Becerileri Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Nitel verilerin elde edilmesinde ise açık uçlu “Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu” kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin ön ve son test puan ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında bağımlı örneklem t-testi analizi; nitel verilerin ön ve son test puan ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında ise içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. 8 hafta süre ile öğrencilere girişimcilik temelli STEM eğitimi verilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin öz düzenleme becerilerinin ön ve son test puanları arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılık oluşmamıştır ancak son test lehine artış gözlenmiştir. Öz düzenleme becerileri ile ilgili olan nitel verilerde ise öz yeterlilik kavramına ve öz düzenleme becerilerinin alt boyutları olan açık olma ve arayış alt boyutlarına ilişkin son test lehine gelişme görülmüştür., This research was carried out to determine the effect of entrepreneurship-based STEM education on secondary school students’ self-regulation skills. The sample of the study consisted of 20 students studying in the 8th grade in the 2019-2020 academic year. Mixed method was preferred and single group pre-test-post-test model was used in the study. “Perceived Self-Regulation Skills Scale” was used to obtain quantitative data. The open-ended “Semi-structured interview form” was used to obtain qualitative data. Pre-and post-test means of quantitative data were compared by paired-sample t test and content analysis method was used to compare the pre-and post-test means of qualitative data. Entrepreneurship-based STEM education was provided to the students for 8 weeks. As a result of the research, there was no significant difference between the pre-and post-test scores of the students’ self-regulation skills, however, there was an increase in favor of the post test. In the qualitative data related to self-regulation skills, an increase was also observed in favor of the post-test regarding the the concept of self-efficacy and the sub-dimensions of self-regulation skills, called “openness” and “seeking”.

Background: We aimed to compare perinatal outcomes of intracytoplasmicsperm injection (ICSI) versus naturally (spontaneously) concieved age and parity matched group of singleton pregnants. Methods: Two hundred and sixteen singleton pregnancies aged between 18-45 years old were included in this study. Among all study group, 106 cases were ICSI pregnancies (study group) and 110 cases were spontaneously concieved singleton pregnancies (control group). Pregnancy outcome parameters were: the incidence of chronic hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, placenta previa, placental abruption, preterm birth, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, gestational diabetes, preterm premature rupture of membranes, caesarean delivery. Results: There were no differences in terms of maternal age, BMI, gravidity, parity, gestational weeks at birth and birth weight between ICSI and spontaneously concieved pregnancy groups. Placental abruption, gestational diabetes and cesarean section rates were significantly higher in ICSI pregnancies than spontaneously conceived pregnancies (4.7% vs 0%, 21.7% vs 11.8% and 82.1% vs 68.2%, respectively). There wereno statistically significant differences in terms of chronic hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, preterm labor, placenta previa, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, preterm and term premature rupture of the membranes. Conclusion: ICSI pregnancies have higher adverse perinatal outcomes than spontaneously conceived singleton pregnancies which were matched with age and parity. That’s why ICSI pregnancies should be given a detailed counseling about the adverse perinatal outcomes and should be followed up more carefully through the pregnancy.

Bu araştırma, basit malzemelerle gerçekleştirilen girişimcilik temelli STEM eğitimininortaokul öğrencilerinin girişimcilik ve öz düzenleme becerileri üzerine herhangi bir etkisi olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında 8.sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 20 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin girişimcilik ve öz düzenleme becerilerinde değişim olup olmadığını ortaya koymak maksadıyla zayıf deneysel desenlerden biri olan tek gruplu ön test-son test modeli kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin elde edilmesinde `Ortaokul Öğrencilerine Yönelik Girişimcilik Ölçeği`, `Algılanan Öz Düzenleme Becerileri Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır.Nitel verilerin elde edilmesinde ise araştırmacı tarafından oluşturan açık uçlu `Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu` kullanılmıştır.Ayrıca öğrencilerin gerçekleştirilen STEM etkinliklerine dair duygu ve düşüncelerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla her etkinlik sonrasında öğrencilere yansıtıcı günlük uygulanmıştır. 8 hafta süre ile öğrencilere basit malzemelerden oluşan etkinliklerle desteklenen girişimcilik temelli STEM eğitimi verilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin girişimcilik ve öz düzenleme becerilerinin ön ve son test puanları karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılık oluşmadığı ancak girişimcilik becerileri ile ilgili olan nitel verilere göreetkinliklerin, öğrencilerin sosyal beceriler, grup çalışması, liderlik ve ön plana çıkma eğilimibecerileri üzerinde olumlu yönde etkisinin olduğu gözlenmiştir. Öz düzenleme becerileri ile ilgili olan nitel verilerde ise yeniliklere açık olma ve öz yeterlilik kavramlarına ilişkin son test lehine gelişme gözlenmiştir. As a result of the study, it was observed that no significant difference between the pre-and post-test scores of the students'entrepreneurship and self-regulation skills occurred, however according to the qualitative data on entrepreneurship skills, the activities had a positive effect on the students' social skills, group work, leadership and tendency to stand out.
