Based on Computational Fluid Dynamics theory, the Euler-Lagrangian method was used to study the effects of three-dimensional dynamic airflow structure and roof angle on the flow structure and pollutant distribution in street canyons. The results show that the variation of inlet airflow speed could influence the airflow structure of street canyon seriously under the dynamic airflow. The airflow structure and pollutant distribution were compressed firstly and then expanded with the increase and decrease of the incoming airflow speed, respectively. The time-varying total pollutant concentration and the concentrations within the pedestrian height zone were increased sharply and then decreased with the increase in roof angles. According to the evolution of the total pollutant concentration and the concentrations within pedestrian height zone with different roof angles, we concluded that the street canyon with roof angle of 25°–30° can provide a clean and livable room for the residents.

Few studies have examined factors, including irrational factors, that affect the continued intention of digital reading. This research attempts to propose an integrated framework to understand the continued intention to engage in digital reading. Based on weighted and calculated needs for new media and the technology acceptance model, the current research empirically investigated continued digital reading using an online survey. The research examined two rational factors—technology characteristics (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and relative advantage) and individual motivations (perceived needs and perceived value)—as well as two irrational factors (emotional preference and perceived herd behaviour).This study found that the perceived ease of use and relative advantage of digital reading, as well as users’ perceived needs (information needs and social needs), perceived value (perceived benefits), and the irrational factor of perceived herd behaviour could predict the continued intention to read digitally. We provided a theoretical framework for understanding the mechanisms of the continued intention to engage in digital reading. The research provided theoretical and practical enlightenment for the development and promotion of digital reading.

Self-disclosure in social media and psychological well-being have been theorized to mutually influence each other. The vibrant research on this issue, however, presents mixed results, calling for a synthesis of the empirical evidence. To this end, we conducted a meta-analysis with 38 empirical studies to systematically examine the nature of the relationship between social media self-disclosure and psychological well-being. We adopted a multidimensional perspective of self-disclosure to scrutinize how the quantity (amount and depth) and quality (intent, valence, and honesty) dimensions of self-disclosure were associated with psychological well-being. The results indicated that valence and honesty of self-disclosure were moderately and positively associated with psychological well-being, but the quantity of self-disclosure was not significantly associated with psychological well-being. Participants’ gender, age, and cultural context of the studies significantly moderated the associations between some dimensions of self-disclosure and psychological well-being. Based on the meta-analysis results, we reassessed theoretical claims on self-disclosure in social media and suggested directions for future research.

Although college students experienced excessive stressors (COVID-19 disease and negative COVID-19 news) during the COVID-19 pandemic, few studies have been aimed at coping strategies used by college students to deal with stress caused by the pandemic. Coping strategies are efforts to deal with anxiety in the face of a perceived threat or stress. Aggression is harmful social interaction with the intention of inflicting damage or harm upon another individual. In the present study, we aimed to examine the direct effect of stressors resulting from the pandemic on college students’ aggression, as well as the indirect effect via their coping strategies. Through a cross-sectional survey of 601 Chinese college students (M-age = 20.28), we tested the proposed framework. We first found that information stressors of COVID-19 ranked highest among the four stressors of the pandemic. Results also indicated that college students’ stressors of COVID-19 were directly and positively associated with their aggressive behavior. For the indirect effect, college students would adopt both adaptive coping strategies (self-help strategy) and maladaptive coping strategies (avoidance strategy and self-punishment strategy) with the stressors of COVID-19. Furthermore, adaptive coping strategy (approach strategy) was negatively related to their aggression, whereas maladaptive coping strategy (avoidance strategy and self-punishment strategy) was positively related to their aggressive behavior. The present research extends the general strain theory in the COVID-19 context. Practical implications are also discussed.

As an alternative energy, hydrogen can be converted into electrical energy via direct electrochemical conversion in fuel cells. One important drawback of full cells is the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) promoted by the high-loading of platinum-group-metal (PGM) electrocatalysts. Fe-N-C family has been received extensive attention because of its low cost, long service life and high oxygen reduction reaction activity in recent years. In order to further enhance the ORR activity, the synthesis method, morphology regulation and catalytic mechanism of the active sites in Fe-N-C catalysts are investigated. This paper reviews the research progress of Fe-N-C from nanoparticles to single atoms. The structure-activity relationship and catalytic mechanism of the catalyst are studied and discussed, which provide a guidance for rational design of the catalyst, so as to promote the more reasonable design of Fe-N-C materials.

This study examines fitness app use patterns and their correlates among Chinese users from the perspectives of uses and gratification theory and self-determination theory. Our sample comprised 632 users of WeRun, the fitness plugin of WeChat, the largest Chinese mobile social networking app; participants completed an online survey and provided self-tracked physical activity data, which were subjected to latent class analysis. Based on the four-class latent class model (which yielded the best model fit and the most interpretable results), 30.5%, 27.5%, 24.7%, and 17.3% of the users were categorized as light users, reward-oriented users, lifestyle-oriented users, and interaction-oriented users, respectively. Moreover, class membership was associated with gender, age, education, income, life satisfaction, autonomy, and platform-based motivations. There is a significant heterogeneity in fitness app use and exercise behaviors. Platform-based motivations and autonomy are important classification factors, as users are looking for specific kinds of gratification from their use of fitness apps. Demographics and individual characteristics are also explanatory factors for class membership. The study findings suggest that fitness app designers should segment users based on motivation and gratification.

Body dissatisfaction is prevalent worldwide, fueling the highly lucrative diet and plastic surgery industry, with many adverse outcomes. Yet, limited attention has been dedicated to noninvasive interventions that effectively enhance body satisfaction. We argue that, by altering the target of the social comparison process, people can shift their focus from body appearance to physical activity level. The present study investigated whether social comparison in terms of physical activity level provided by fitness apps could affect users' body satisfaction. A survey was conducted with 643 users of WeRun, the Chinese leading mobile fitness app. Subsequent analyses revealed that both upward and downward social comparison mediated the positive relationship between fitness app use and body satisfaction. Moreover, the users' social network size and gender played a moderating role in the social comparison processes. Fitness app use was positively related to downward comparison for male users; social network size moderated the relationship between fitness app use and upward comparison for female users. The utility of fitness apps in mitigating body dissatisfaction is also discussed.

In this paper, a large number of digital printing reflective film retroreflectivity measurement. Based on the multi-angle test of the reflective film of the mainstream manufacturers in the market, the reverse reflection coefficient of the digital printing reflective film was obtained. Through the curve fitting of the measured values of the backreflection coefficient under different measuring angles by using the scatter plot, the variation law of the luminosity of the digital printing reflective film with incident Angle and observation Angle was obtained. The variation law of backreflection coefficient explored in this paper has certain significance to the application guidance of digital printing reflective film for traffic signs.

In today’s society, people with poor mental ability are prone to neuropsychiatric diseases such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression due to long-term negative emotions. Although conventional Western medicine has certain curative effect, these drugs have significant anticholinergic side effects central toxicity as well as cardiovascular and gastrointestinal side effects which limit their application in the elderly. At present, several antidepressants used in clinic have certain limitations. According to the symptoms of depression, this paper proposes a feedback emotion regulation method of brain-computer interface music therapy. This method uses special music stimulation to regulate the release of inhibiting sex hormones in the body, reduce the influence of negative emotions on the internal environment of the body, and maintain the steady state of the body. In this method, EEG is used as the emotional control signal of depressed patients, and this biological signal is transformed into music that depressed patients can understand, so as to clarify their physiological and psychological state and realize emotional self-regulation by feedback.

In order to investigate the influence of patient position change on the position of catheter tip in arm infusion port, the clinical data of 324 patients undergoing arm infusion port implantation in a hospital were retrospectively analyzed. It could be obtained that TIVAP was successfully implanted in 324 patients with malignant tumors. In 171 cases, the TIVAP catheter tip shifted to the foot side when the position was changed from upright to decubitus, with an average displacement of (12.29 ± 7.48) mm; 149 cases had cephalic displacement with an average of (5.00 ± 3.79) mm; and 5 cases had no change. The position of the TIVAP catheter tip tended to shift to the foot side when the vertical position changed to the decubitus position, with an average displacement of (−9.32 ± 9.36) mm, and the difference had statistical significance ( P < 0.0001 ), while there were no significant differences in gender, age, height, weight, body mass index, and catheter tip position ( P > 0.05 ). It could be analyzed from the data that from decubitus to upright position, the tip of the arm infusion port tended to shift to the foot side, and the moving distance was related to the patient’s gender, sebum thickness, and indwelling catheter length. Preoperative understanding of relevant information is helpful to determine the location and length of catheterization and reduce catheter-related complications.

A Pd-doped Pt3Sn-based single atom alloy catalyst (Pd-Pt3Sn) was synthesized via a hydrothermal method. The overpotential of Pd-Pt3Sn is lower than that of commercial Pd/C and IrO2 catalysts at 10 mA cm-2. This is due to the synergistic effect between Pt, Sn and Pd and the influence of electronic effects on their catalytic performance.

Background During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, developing safe and effective coronavirus vaccines was considered critical to arresting the spread of the disease. News and social media discussions have extensively covered the issue of coronavirus vaccines, with a mixture of vaccine advocacies, concerns, and oppositions. Objective This study aimed to uncover the emerging themes in Twitter users’ perceptions and attitudes toward vaccines during the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak. Methods This study employed topic modeling to analyze tweets related to coronavirus vaccines at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States (February 21 to March 20, 2020). We created a predefined query (eg, “COVID” AND “vaccine”) to extract the tweet text and metadata (number of followers of the Twitter account and engagement metrics based on likes, comments, and retweeting) from the Meltwater database. After preprocessing the data, we tested Latent Dirichlet Allocation models to identify topics associated with these tweets. The model specifying 20 topics provided the best overall coherence, and each topic was interpreted based on its top associated terms. Results In total, we analyzed 100,209 tweets containing keywords related to coronavirus and vaccines. The 20 topics were further collapsed based on shared similarities, thereby generating 7 major themes. Our analysis characterized 26.3% (26,234/100,209) of the tweets as News Related to Coronavirus and Vaccine Development, 25.4% (25,425/100,209) as General Discussion and Seeking of Information on Coronavirus, 12.9% (12,882/100,209) as Financial Concerns, 12.7% (12,696/100,209) as Venting Negative Emotions, 9.9% (9908/100,209) as Prayers and Calls for Positivity, 8.1% (8155/100,209) as Efficacy of Vaccine and Treatment, and 4.9% (4909/100,209) as Conspiracies about Coronavirus and Its Vaccines. Different themes demonstrated some changes over time, mostly in close association with news or events related to vaccine developments. Twitter users who discussed conspiracy theories, the efficacy of vaccines and treatments, and financial concerns had more followers than those focused on other vaccine themes. The engagement level—the extent to which a tweet being retweeted, quoted, liked, or replied by other users—was similar among different themes, but tweets venting negative emotions yielded the lowest engagement. Conclusions This study enriches our understanding of public concerns over new vaccines or vaccine development at early stages of the outbreak, bearing implications for influencing vaccine attitudes and guiding public health efforts to cope with infectious disease outbreaks in the future. This study concluded that public concerns centered on general policy issues related to coronavirus vaccines and that the discussions were considerably mixed with political views when vaccines were not made available. Only a small proportion of tweets focused on conspiracy theories, but these tweets demonstrated high engagement levels and were often contributed by Twitter users with more influence.

The flow field structure, pollutant concentration distribution and dimensionless concentration evolution of uplifted street canyon has been analyzed in this study. Different from the ideal street canyon, the pollutant concentration distribution of the uplifting street canyon is higher at the bottom, lower at the top, higher at the windward side and lower at the leeward side. The total pollutant concentration (TPC) generally decreases with the increase of leeward building lifting height while the lift height increases with the same total building height or the total building height increases with increase in the lifting height. It is beneficial to the pollutant emission of in street canyon. On the contrary, the TPC increases when the total building height increases with the same lift height. The main reason is that the vertical length of the vortex increases, which is more difficult for pollutants to be discharged from the street canyon.

Although misinformation and correction sharing is a topic that spans various domains and disciplines, the ultimate aim of such research is to better understand how to reduce misinformation sharing while motivating correction sharing in an increasingly decentralized and dispersed informational landscape. This review aims to (a) provide a systematic and structured overview of empirical studies on both misinformation sharing and correction sharing, as differentiated phenomenon, by examining article elements such as theoretical lenses, methodologies, topics of research, and (b) collect and organize factors predicting both misinformation sharing and correction sharing into an integrated model, which provides the foundation for an interdisciplinary framework of misinformation sharing and correction sharing. A total of 64 relevant empirical articles published before October 2021 were identified for analysis. Finally, a discussion regarding the academic and practical implications of this study, and gaps in the literature aim to provide direction for future research.

Perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells are promising to penetrate photovoltaic market. However, the wide-bandgap perovskite absorbers used in top-cell often suffer severe phase segregation under illumination, which restricts the operation lifetime of tandem solar cells. Here, a strain modulation strategy to fabricate light-stable perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells is reported. By employing adenosine triphosphate, the residual tensile strain in the wide-bandgap perovskite absorber is successfully converted to compressive strain, which mitigates light-induced ion migration and phase segregation. Based on the wide-bandgap perovskite with compressive strain, single-junction solar cells with the n-i-p layout yield a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 20.53% with the smallest voltage deficits of 440 mV. These cells also maintain 83.60% of initial PCE after 2500 h operation at the maximum power point. Finally, these top cells are integrated with silicon bottom cells in a monolithic tandem device, which achieves a PCE of 26.95% and improved light stability at open-circuit.

The human health status can be assessed by the means of research and analysis of the human microbiome. Acne is a common skin disease whose morbidity increases year by year. The lipids which influence acne to a large extent are studied by metagenomic methods in recent years. In this paper, machine learning methods are used to analyze metagenomic sequencing data of acne, i.e., all kinds of lipids in the face skin. Firstly, lipids data of the diseased skin (DS) samples and the healthy skin (HS) samples of acne patients and the normal control (NC) samples of healthy person are, respectively, analyzed by using principal component analysis (PCA) and kernel principal component analysis (KPCA). Then, the lipids which have main influence on each kind of sample are obtained. In addition, a multiset canonical correlation analysis (MCCA) is utilized to get lipids which can differentiate the face skins of the above three samples. The experimental results show the machine learning methods can effectively analyze metagenomic sequencing data of acne. According to the results, lipids which only influence one of the three samples or the lipids which simultaneously have different degree of influence on these three samples can be used as indicators to judge skin statuses.
