ObjectiveTraditional Chinese exercises (TCE) are excellent cardiac rehabilitation (CR) training that can effectively improve cardiorespiratory fitness. However, there is no published meta-analysis of TCE on CR in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Therefore, this study aimed to provide a comprehensive evaluation from multiple perspectives.MethodsThis meta-analysis is based on the Cochrane Handbook of Systematic Reviews. Eight databases were searched from the date of database construction to March 15, 2023. Two investigators independently screened the literature and assessed their quality. The meta-analysis was performed with RevMan5.4 software.ResultsA total of 21 articles involving 1,890 patients were included. Monolayer (ML) transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have attracted a lot of research interest in recent years due to their many interesting properties as well as their application promises. Depending on the specific combinations of metals (e.g., Mo and W) with chalcogen elements (e.g., S, Se, and Te), binary TMDs exhibit a wide spectrum of physical characteristics, e.g., from metal to semiconductor and/or superconductor. Extension from binary to ternary compounds and alloys may offer even wider variations of properties and are thus of interest from both fundamental and practical points of view. In this work, we substitute Mo for niobium (Nb) and rhenium (Re) in ML MoSe2 during molecular-beam epitaxy and probe their effects on structural and electrical properties. We find that low-concentration Nb and Re in ML-MoSe2 are both shallow dopants, with Re being an electron donor and Nb acceptor, respectively. By changing Nb(Re)/Mo flux ratios, we can effectively tune the Fermi level by varying electron or hole concentrations in MoSe2. On the other hand, both Nb and Re are found to cause mirror-twin domain boundary defects to proliferate in MoSe2.

Abstract Band bending near mirror twin domain boundaries (MTBs) in a MoSe2 monolayer grown on different substrates, i.e., highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG), graphene‐on‐SiC, and crystalline Au(110), is investigated by low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy. Upshift bending of the valence band edge near MTB is observed on both graphene and HOPG substrates, whereas a downshift bending is found on Au(110). For the former, the magnitudes of bending are different. This is explained based on the static charge model, where an accumulative charge exists at MTBs due to both the electrical dipole discontinuity across the MTB as well as charge transfer between the substrate and MoSe2 epilayer. The relevance of the static electric model is further affirmed by noting a geometric effect on the band bending, where it is asymmetric across the vertex of an MTB loop.

Background: Hyperlipidemia is one of the independent risk factors for the onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), and our aim is to construct a coronary risk prediction model for patients with hyperlipidemia based on carotid ultrasound in combination with other risk factors. Methods: The nomogram risk prediction model is based on a retrospective study on 820 patients with hyperlipidemia. The predictive accuracy and discriminative ability of the nomogram were determined by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and calibration curves. The results were validated using bootstrap resampling and a prospective study on 39 patients with hyperlipidemia accepted at consenting institutions from 2021 to 2022. Result: In the modeling cohort, 820 patients were included. A total of 33 variables were included in univariate logistic regression. On multivariate analysis of the modeling cohort, independent factors for survival were sex, age, hypertension, plaque score, LVEF, PLT, and HbAlc, which were all selected into the nomogram. The calibration curve for probability of survival showed good agreement between prediction by nomogram and actual observation. The area under the curve (AUC) of the nomogram model was 0.881 (95% CI 0.858∼0.905), with a sensitivity of 79% and a specificity of 81.7%. In the validation cohort, the AUC was 0.75, 95% CI (0.602∼0.906). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and accuracy of this model were 54.16%, 80%, 81.25%, 52.17% and 64.1%. This model showed a good fitting and calibration and positive net benefits in decision curve analysis. Conclusion: A nomogram model for CHD risk in patients with hyperlipidemia was developed and validated using 7 predictors, which may have potential application value in clinical risk assessment, decision-making, and individualized treatment associated with CHD.

Abstract Ultrathin two‐dimensional transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have been pursued extensively in recent years for interesting physics and application potentials. For the latter, it is essential to synthesize crystalline TMD monolayers at wafer‐scale. Here, we report growth of single‐crystalline MSe2 (M = Mo, W) monolayers at wafer‐scale by molecular‐beam epitaxy at low temperatures (200–400°C) on nominally flat Au(1 1 1) substrates. The epifilms have low intrinsic defect densities of low 1012 cm−2. The grown films have then been exfoliated and transferred onto SiO2/Si by a wet chemical process, on which some optical measurements are performed, revealing high spatial uniformity of the samples. We also establish that MSe2 grows on Au via the van der Waals epitaxy mechanism, where a continuous film extends across the whole surface, overhangs atomic‐layer steps on substrate. We identify that the growth of highly crystalline MSe2 is promoted by an enhanced interaction between Au substrate and MSe2 islands rather than by the guidance of surface steps on substrate. The latter only arrests MSe2 lateral growth if they are multilayer high. Key points MBE growth of wafer‐scale highly crystalline TMD monolayers at low‐temperature is achieved. Island‐substrate interaction is found to play a critical role in vdW epitaxy of single‐crystalline TMDs on on‐axis substates. The TMD monolayers are of high uniformity and low intrinsic defect density.

Highlights 1. Our work was based on clinical samples rather than pure data analysis or animal models. 2. We conducted multiple omics studies. Especially, as for metabolomics study, we performed both untargeted and targeted metabolomics experiments. 3. We performed network pharmacological study to cross-validated the results of multi-omics study. Although the data sources of network pharmacology were completely unrelated with our omics data, they came to the same conclusion about the difference of the two Syndromes. 4. In the network pharmacological study, we made efforts to collect and screen high-quality data. We collected data from multiple TCM databases and conducted drug likeness screening. Especially, we added quality markers of each herb, whose pharmacological relevance had been validated. To enhance the reliability of targets, for each Syndrome, we only studied common targets of 3 different TCM formulae prescribed for this Syndrome.

Driving cycle is an important indicator to evaluate vehicle performance and to measure fuel consumption. Its impact is not only on pollution emissions but also on asset management. Based on the real life detailed data from the city tour buses in Beijing, this paper proposes to couple a genetic algorithm based GA-K-means clustering with the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) to construct a city tour bus urban road driving cycle in Beijing. Compared to the standard driving cycle C-WTVC used for heavy commercial vehicle fuel consumption certification in China, our driving cycle model can reflect the real life situation more accurately. With our model, the influence of driving state and driving behavior on fuel consumption is also analyzed, and the fuel consumption estimation model under the corresponding driving cycle is constructed. To gain deeper insight and better fuel consumption, we further segment and construct the driving sub-cycles of peak and off-peak periods according to the difference in fuel consumption at different time periods in Beijing in September 2019. Through this fine-grain driving cycle, we can further improve the accuracy of the fuel consumption estimation model.

The modulation of gut microbiota dysbiosis might regulate the progression of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). Here, we found that polyphenol-rich Liupao tea extract (PLE) prevents high-fat diet (HFD)-induced MAFLD in ApoE−/− male mice accompanied by protection of the intestinal barrier and downregulation of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-related Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-myeloid differentiation primary response 88 (MyD88) signaling in the liver. Fecal microbiome transplantation (FMT) from PLE-and-HFD-treated mice delayed MAFLD development significantly compared with FMT from HFD-treated mice. In this case, 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that Rikenellaceae and Odoribacter were significantly enriched and that Helicobacter was significantly decreased in not only the HFD+PLE group but also the HFD+PLE-FMT group. Furthermore, the level of 3-sulfodeoxycholic acid was significantly decreased in the HFD+PLE-FMT group compared with the HFD-FMT group. In conclusion, our data demonstrate that PLE could modulate the MAFLD phenotype in mice and that this effect is partly mediated through modulation of the gut microbiota.

Cell-membrane glycerolipids exhibit a common structural backbone of asymmetric 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycerol bearing polar head groups in the sn-3 position. In this study, the possible effects of sn-3 head groups on the helical conformational property around the 1,2-diacyl moiety in the solution state were examined. 1H NMR Karplus relation studies were carried out using a series of 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycerols bearing different sn-3 substituents (namely palmitoyl, benzyl, hydrogen, and phosphates). The 1H NMR analysis indicated that the helical property around the 1,2-diacyl moiety is considerably affected by these sn-3 substituents. The sn-3 hydroxy group induced a unique helical property, which was considerably dependent on the solvents used. In CDCl3 solution, three staggered conformers, namely gt(+), gg(−) and tg, were randomized, while in more polar solvents, the gt(+) conformer with (+)-helicity was amplified at the expense of gg(−) and tg conformers. The sn-3 phosphocholine in phosphatidylcholine exhibited a greater effect on the gt(+) conformer, which was independent of the solvents used. From the 1H NMR analysis, the helical conformational properties around the 1,2-diacyl moiety conformed to a simple empirical rule, which permitted the proposal of a conformational diagram for 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycerols in the solution states.

Much of the population is exposed to PM2.5 (particulate matter) pollution in China, and establishing a high-precision PM2.5 grid dataset will be very valuable for air pollution and related studies. However, limited by the traditional models themselves and input data sources, PM2.5 estimations are of low accuracy with narrow spatial coverage. Therefore, we develop a new spatiotemporally weighted random forest (SWRF) model to improve the estimation accuracy and expand the spatial coverage of PM2.5 concentrations using the latest release of the Visible infrared Imaging Radiometer (VIIRS) Deep Blue (DB) aerosol product, along with meteorological variables, and socioeconomic data. Compared with traditional methods and the results of previous similar studies, our satellite-derived PM2.5 distribution shows better consistency with surface-measured records, having a high out-of-sample (out-of-station) cross-validation (CV) coefficient of determination (CV-R2), root mean squared error (RMSE), and mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.87 (0.85), 11.23 (11.53) μg m−3 and 8.25 (8.78) μg m−3, respectively. The monthly, seasonal, and annual mean PM2.5 were also successfully captured (CV-R2 = 0.91–0.92, RMSE = 4.35–6.72 μg m−3). Then, the spatial characteristics of PM2.5 pollution in 2018 were investigated, showing that although air pollution has diminished in recent years, China still faces a high PM2.5 pollution risk overall, especially in winter (average = 50.43 + 16.81 μg m−3). In addition, 19 provinces or administrative regions have annual PM2.5 concentrations >35 μg m−3, particularly the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (~55.25 μg m−3), Tianjin (~49.65 μg m−3), and Henan Province (~48.60 μg m−3). Our estimated surface PM2.5 concentrations are accurate, which could benefit further research on air pollution in China.

Two new flavonoids, calquiquelignan M (1), calquiquelignan N (2), along with nine known compounds (3−11), were isolated from the nuts of Areca catechu (Palmae). The new structures, including absolute configurations, were established by a combination of spectroscopic data and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. The known compounds were identified by comparing their spectroscopic data with reported in the literature. The flavonoids compounds (1−8) were evaluated for their cytotoxicity activities against three human cancer cell lines. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibited a moderate cytotoxic activity against HepG2 cell lines with IC50 values of 49.8 and 53.6 μM, respectively.
