Abstract

The parametric constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection algorithms which are based on various statistical distributions, such as Gaussian, Gamma, Weibull, log-normal, G0 distribution, alpha-stable distribution, etc, are most widely used to detect the ship targets in SAR image at present. However, the clutter background in SAR images is complicated and variable. When the actual clutter background deviates from the assumed statistical distribution, the performance of the parametric CFAR detector will deteriorate. In addition to the parametric CFAR schemes, there is another class of nonparametric CFAR detectors which can maintain a constant false alarm rate for the target detection without the assumption of a known clutter distribution. In this work, the Wilcoxon nonparametric CFAR scheme for ship detection in SAR image is proposed and analyzed, and a closed form of the false alarm rate for the Wilcoxon nonparametric detector to determine the decision threshold is presented. By comparison with several typical parametric CFAR schemes on Radarsat-2, ICEYE-X6 and Gaofen-3 SAR images, the robustness of the Wilcoxon nonparametric detector to maintain a good false alarm performance in different detection backgrounds is revealed, and its detection performance for the weak ship in rough sea surface is improved to some extent. Moreover, the Wilcoxon nonparametric detector can suppress the false alarms resulting from the sidelobes at some degree and its detection speed is fast.

6. Case Report: A case study and literature review on teeth discoloration caused by linezolid with the shortest incubation period in a pediatric patient

Abstract

BackgroundWhen it comes to the adverse reactions of linezolid, people always call to mind primarily nausea, vomiting, bone marrow suppression, and so on. Few people are aware of the rare adverse reaction of teeth discoloration.Case presentationWe describe the case of a child affected by bacterial meningitis. After admission, a combination of ceftriaxone and linezolid was administered for anti-infection, and dexamethasone was used to inhibit inflammatory reactions. On the 5th day of treatment with linezolid, the child's teeth appeared brownish color and could not be removed with normal oral hygiene. Upon reviewing the drug instructions and literature, it was found that the discoloration of teeth is a rare adverse reaction of linezolid, which is pseudo discoloration. After stopping the medication for 28 days or up to 5 months, the normal color can be restored. There is no significant impact on the life of the patient, therefore, continue to use linezolid to complete the anti-infection course.ResultsAfter 14 days of anti-infection treatment, the inflammatory indicators of the child decreased to normal, and the condition was close to recovery before discharge. After stopping the medication for 28 days, the color of the teeth returned to normal.ConclusionsThis rare adverse reaction sheds light on a previously unreported side effect of this widely used antibiotic. In our case, the discoloration of the teeth occurred earlier, updating the latent period of the adverse reaction.

Abstract

Abstract The classical rank sum (RS) nonparametric constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detector plays an important role in the theoretical study and practical application of radar target detection. In order to improve the ability of the classical RS nonparametric detector to control the false alarm rate at clutter edges, a modified rank sum (MRS) nonparametric CFAR based on the mean ratio of the samples in the leading and lagging windows is proposed. The analytical expressions of the detection probability and false alarm rate of the MRS nonparametric CFAR in homogeneous background and at clutter edges are derived, and a comparison to the performance of the classical RS nonparametric detector along with some conventional parametric CFAR schemes in homogeneous background, multiple targets situation and clutter edges is made. The numerical results show that the detection performance of the MRS nonparametric CFAR in homogeneous background and in a moderate number of interfering targets situation is close to that of the classical RS nonparametric detector, and its ability to control the rise of the false alarm rate at clutter edges is evidently improved.

35. High-entropy cobalt-free perovskite as a high-performing nanofiber cathode for solid oxide fuel cells.

Abstract

In this study, a novel A-site high entropy perovskite oxide La1/6Pr1/6Nd1/6Ba1/6Sr1/6Ca1/6FeO3−δ (LPNBSCF) is prepared by the electrospinning method and used as a cobalt-free cathode for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) at intermediate temperatures. The LPNBSCF nanofiber cathode exhibits a pure phase perovskite structure and a strong chemical compatibility with the electrolyte (Sm0.2Ce0.8O1.95). The anode-supported single cell with the LPNBSCF nanofiber cathode shows a remarkable peak power density (PPD) of 1.439 W cm−2 at 750 °C, surpassing that of the cell with a La0.6Sr0.4FeO3−δ (LSF) nanofiber cathode (0.836 W cm−2). These findings suggest the significant potential application of the LPNBSCF nanofiber cathode in SOFCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A simple and efficient method to construct benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2‐c]quinazolin‐6(5H)‐one skeleton was reported. A powerful functional group transformation strategy of −NO2 transformed into −NH2 was involved in this method. Only Mo(CO)6 was used in the reaction, which acted as both reductant and cyclization accelerator. And a series of benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2‐c]quinazolin‐6(5H)‐one derivatives were obtained.
