Purpose: To evaluate the frequency of treatment success in terms of visual and surgical outcomes in patients with late presentation of retinal detachment. Study Design: Quasi experimental. Place and Duration of Study: Sindh institute of Ophthalmology and visual Sciences from June 2022 to January 2023. Methods: A total of 50 eyes of 50 patients with delayed presentation of retinal detachment who underwent Pars Plana Vitrectomy (PPV) were included and followed up for 6 months. Pre and post-surgery Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA) and anatomical attachment of retina were comprehensively analyzed. Factors affecting anatomical success were also studied. Results: Mean age of patients was 47±18 years. Twenty seven patients were (54%) were more than 45 years of age and 32(64%) were males. Thirty eight (76%) patients achieved successful anatomical attachment of retina at 6th month follow-up. Post-operative BCVA also showed improvement in vision. Risk factors identified for poor anatomical and visual outcome following PPV for retinal detachment are; PVR advance stage, longer duration of visual symptoms and poor-presenting BCVA. Age, sex, laterality, Pre-operative BCVA, lens status, diagnosis, and type of surgery showed insignificant associations (P >0.05). Conclusion: Anatomical failure and poor functional outcomes appear to be mostly caused by PVR. PVR, longer duration of visual symptoms and poor-presenting VA are risk factors for poor anatomical and visual outcome following PPV surgery for RD. Late presentations to clinics can decrease with mass awareness. The frequency of proliferative vitreoretinopathy would decline, and visual results would be improved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Smart Industrial environments use the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) for their routine operations and transform their industrial operations with intelligent and driven approaches. However, IIoT devices are vulnerable to cyber threats and exploits due to their connectivity with the internet. Traditional signature-based IDS are effective in detecting known attacks, but they are unable to detect unknown emerging attacks. Therefore, there is the need for an IDS which can learn from data and detect new threats. Ensemble Machine Learning (ML) and individual Deep Learning (DL) based IDS have been developed, and these individual models achieved low accuracy; however, their performance can be improved with the ensemble stacking technique. In this paper, we have proposed a Deep Stacked Neural Network (DSNN) based IDS, which consists of two stacked Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models as base learners and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB) as the meta learner. The proposed DSNN model was trained and evaluated with the next-generation dataset, TON_IoT. Several pre-processing techniques were applied to prepare a dataset for the model, including ensemble feature selection and the SMOTE technique. Accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and false positive rates were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed ensemble model. Our experimental results showed that the accuracy for binary classification is 99.61%, which is better than in the baseline individual DL and ML models. In addition, the model proposed for IDS has been compared with similar models. The proposed DSNN achieved better performance metrics than the other models. Culture fit is an essential consideration while designing websites in this technologically evolving era, yet it is too often ignored in current usability evaluation methods. The heuristic evaluation is one such method, in which, generally, experts use a set of heuristics as a guide. These heuristics are well designed to pinpoint the general usability design faults; however, they limit identifying potential usability problems for specific domains and cultures. This article presents a formal methodology with a sequence of steps of how domain and culture-specific heuristics can be designed. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of lateral tarsal strip procedure (LTS) in treating different types of lid malposition. Study Design: Interventional case series. Place and Duration of Study: Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology and visual sciences from January 2019 to December 2019. Method: There were 49 eyelids on which LTS procedure was performed. A complete ophthalmic examination was done and patients were assessed for horizontal lid laxity by pinch test. Patients with severe and moderate to severe medial canthal laxity were excluded. Patients with medial ectropion and minimal medial canthal laxity were included in the study where LTS was combined with medial spindle. Results: Twenty three patients had involutional ectropion. Spindle procedure was performed in addition to LTS in 3 of these 23 patients. Six patients had involutional entropion. One patient had recurrent ectropion and LTS was combined with everting sutures in 3 of them. Five patients had facial palsy and two of them had combined spindle procedure. One patient had traumatic avulsion of lateral canthal tendon which was not repaired primarily. Two patients had previous cantholysis. In one patient LTS was performed to support the prosthesis in a previously eviscerated eye. All the patients underwent LTS with variation in length of lateral tarsal strip which was adjusted to horizontal lid laxity and presumed post-operative position of lower lids in relation to lower limbus and canthal angle. Due to the frequent use of fossil fuels and their direct impact on the environment, new ways of production of energy sources are essentially needed for the current era. Hydrogen is the perfect candidate for renewable energy; however, efficient O2 gas production is associated with a lack of active electrocatalysts that could be low cost effective and comparable to the performance of noble metal RuO2. The newly developed composite has a Tafel slope of 65 mV dec−1 for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for the nonprecious Mn‐Ni‐Co‐based electrocatalyst. This mixed oxide alloy possesses excellent oxygen evolution activity in alkaline media with the composite material. It is best of fit to produce OER in 1 M KOH media at 1.41 V onset potential, 230 mV overpotential, and the catalyst is highly durable for 40 hr. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy study strongly provides the fast OER kinetics of 86.5 Ω charge transfer resistance. An active catalyst is needed for the cheaper generation oxygen gas production on large scale. Thus, outperform, stable, and inexpensive catalysts are highly demanded O2 gas production from the electrolysis of water through oxygen evolution. Herein, we present an efficient and highly stable catalyst based on transition metal oxide ternary Mo‐Ni‐Co nanostructures and their composite for water splitting in basic conditions for the first time. The presented catalysts are up to the mark of ruthenium oxide performance and superior to several transition metal dichalcogenides. This fabrication technology is a new roadmap for the development of active and scalable oxygen‐evolving catalysts by overcoming the issues of fewer catalytic edges, low density, and poor conductivity. The obtained results demonstrate highly favorable on the Mn‐Ni‐Co for OER due to 173.20 Ω small charge transfer resistance values and 1.97 mF capacitance values. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
