Objective: To evaluate the allergic effects of the residual monomer by using auto polymerised acrylic resins amongst dentists. Study Design: Cross Sectional study. Setting: Department of Prosthdontics, Isra Dental College, Hyderabad. Period: June 2019 to October 2019. Material & Methods: The study consists of 50 participants included Prosthodontist specialists, general dental practitioners and dental students. All contributors that filled a questionnaire regarding the allergic effects after using auto polymerised poly methyl methacrylate resin, identity of all participants will be kept private after taking consent. In questionnaire asked the questions from the contributors regarding the designation, qualification, usage duration, organs affected by allergy by using poly methyl meth acrylate resin, any medical treatment acquired for allergy and what kind of precautions used for prevention of allergy. Data was analyzed thru SPSS version 21. Descriptive statistics such as frequency distribution, percentage were included in Data analysis. The level of significance was set at <0.05%. Results: This current study discovered that out of 50 participants, 64% were students, 25% general dentists and 10% specialists. Out of 50 participants, maximum participants 45% found the skin allergic reaction and minimum 8% found respiratory tract. Only 10 participants acquired the treatment and consults the doctor for allergic reactions and 25 participants did not acquired any treatment. Conclusion: Conclusion of this study was that the maximum contributors had allergic effects to the skin while many participants did not acquired or followed any therapeutic service to avoid surplus effects. OBJECTIVE: To Assess the Effectiveness of Educational Training on Knowledge and practice about Active Management of 3rd Stage of Labor by Nurses and Midwives. METHODOLOGY: A quasi-experimental study was conducted among nurses and midwives in January- June 2020. The participants for the study were selected based on a non-probability convenient sampling technique. In total, 140 nurses and midwives participated in the study (70) in the interventional group and 70 in the control group. Data collection was done via the adopted questionnaire, and the sample size was calculated through an open epi version 3.0 using the Randomized Clinical Trials formula. RESULTS: In this study, in the intervention group, most women were 18-25 years old, whereas only 2.9% of women were over 40 years old in our study. Age group and previous training on the AMTSL variable are significantly associated with the study group variable. There was a significant mean difference in post-knowledge between the control and intervention groups. Furthermore, there was a significant mean difference in post-practice between both groups. The overall post-test Knowledge of nurses revealed that the intervention group had a better understanding than the control group. CONCLUSION: It is concluded from this study that training and education about active management of the third stage of labor (AMTSL) are as highly effective as post-test Knowledge, and post-training practice scores were higher than pre-test scores. Emergence of any pandemic raises serious concerns toward the psychological well-being of an individual and overall society. Although, the magnitude and intensity of the novelwellb coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are not precisely known yet, however, this pandemic has predominantly reshaped the global scenario. Scholars have begun to unfold the reality of this traumatic situation, but empirical research that focuses on the identification of key factors that could have a notable impact on mental wellbeing of the general population is limited. To fill this gap, this research endeavors to analyze the impact of fear of getting infected and social isolation on mental well-being during the pandemic. In addition, psychological resilience is used as a moderator between social isolation and mental well-being. A total of 714 responses were received through an online survey from university students across all provinces of Pakistan. The findings demonstrate that people who fear of being infected tend to engage in social isolation, and social isolation brings negative repercussions toward mental well-being. Interestingly, the study findings reveal that psychological resilience could mitigate the negative impact of social isolation on mental well-being. This study calls for creating and promoting awareness concerning psychological resilience in order to cope with the psychological challenges during this COVID-19 pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study explores the relationship between Employee's Readiness to change (ER) and employee's Engagement (EE) with mediating effect of Employees Satisfaction (ES) and a moderating effect of Employee's Fear of Change on Employees Satisfaction. The data collected from the middle level managers of telecom sector of Pakistan. Data analysed through structural equation modelling employing two-step method i.e. Measurement Model and Structural Model. Utilizing Kurt Lewin's three-step model, this study found that readiness for change (unfreezing) creates satisfaction with change (moving) which then fosters employee engagement (refreezing). However, this study adds to the knowledge by suggesting the boundary conditions between readiness for change and satisfaction with change such that relationship of readiness for change and satisfaction with change is stronger when fear of change is lower rather than higher. Mediation of job satisfaction has also been found between change readiness and engagement. This study is unique such that it has considered fear of change and satisfaction with change in relationship between readiness and engagement with change. Secondly, this study has collected data from telecom sector of Pakistan which is under the constant structural changes due to variety of economic, and technological aspects. Objectives: This study was carried out to assess the clinical evaluation of the preference for prosthodontics treatment modalities in the patients visiting at the Welfare OPD, Isra Dental College, Hyderabad. Study Design: Cross sectional study. Setting: Welfare OPD, Department of Prosthodontics at Isra Dental College, Hyderabad. Period: Six months, from Jan, 2016 to June, 2016. Materials and Methods: The study comprised of 191 patients belonging to both genders ranging in age from 10 years to the 60+ years, divided into six groups. Data analysis by distribution was performed according to the various kinds of prosthesis, including removable partial denture, removable complete denture, fixed partial denture, repair of RPD, immediate denture, lower CD & upper PD, obturator, upper CD & lower PD, relining of dentures, splints, over denture and provisional restorations. Data was analyzed via SPSS version 21. Descriptive statistics such as percentage, frequency distribution, cross tabulation and descriptive were included in Data analysis. The level of significance was set at <0.05%. Results: This study revealed that the most of the patients were fell in group IV (41-50 years), which represents 28.3% and the most common treatment were given RPD restoration (49.2%), followed by FPD (22.5%). Majority of the patients were prefer the RPD as 32 (34.0%) and 27 (28.7%) from the age group IV and III respectively while 13 (13.8%) patients were prefer RPD and 13 (30.8%) patients were prefer FPD from the age group II. Out of 191 patients, 47 (50.0%) Males and 47 (50.0%) Females as well prefer the RPD while 26 (60.5%) females and 17 (39.5%) males were prefer FPD as treatment modalities. Younger female patients preferred the FPD while with the increase of age both genders prefer removable prosthesis. Conclusion: This study concludes that in the treatment modalities, mostly patients preferred the removable partial denture, provisional restorations and removable complete denture. Overall the globalization and dynamic business environment have restructured organizational management. This evolving scenario entails continuous upgrading, that makes organizational change as crucial strategy for long term survival. This research endeavors to identify the determinants of employees' resistance to organizational change. Primarily, this research focuses on examining that to what extent an employee's academic qualification might determine employees' willingness/resistance to change. In this regard, this study investigates the organizational change process in the context of Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited (Mobilink), which acquired Warid Telecom (Warid) and went through restructuring due to merger of both companies. In this research, the different stratum of employees' educational qualifications were analyzed against the three aspects of change process; employees trust in management, management communication strategy/information exchange and employees involvement in change process. The research findings identifies that employees with higher level of educational qualification (Bachelor or Master's degree) are more eager to accept change within organization, whereas, employees with lower level of educational qualification (matriculation and intermediate) are less ready to accept the change through showing high resistance towards organizational change. Object: Analysis of serum tumor markers CA-125, CEA, AFP, & β-HCG in patients with ovarian malignant tumors and correlation of their serum levels with histological types. Study Design: Institution based descriptive and prospective study. Place & Duration: Department of Pathology, Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro from January 2009 to June 2011. Material & Methods: One hundred cases, diagnosed as ovarian malignant tumor on H&E staining were selected for study & measurement of serum CA-125, CEA, AFP, & β-HCG preoperatively and postoperatively in each case. Results: Out of 100 ovarian cancers diagnosed on H&E stain 33 were serous cystadenocarcinoma, 29 mucinous adenocarcinoma, 19 germ cell tumors and 15 sex-cord stromal tumors, 1 endometroid carcinoma, 1 brenner tumor, 1 clear cell carcinoma and 1 case of NHL. Increased level of CA-125 was seen preoperatively in 33/33 cases of serous cystadenocarcinoma and 24/29 cases of mucinous adenocarcinoma. Surprisingly increased levels were also seen in 10/19 germ cell tumor and 8/15 in sex-cord stromal tumors. CEA is raised in mucinous tumors. AFP & β-HCG were raised in germ cell tumors & sex cordstromal tumors. Serum tumor marker levels were declined following appropriate therapy of the tumors. Conclusions: Serum tumor markers are useful and important for the detection of ovarian tumors. They may also help in assessment of response to specific treatment, prognosis & follow up of patient. Background: To evaluate pattern and frequency of solid malignant tumour in paediatric age group in our region., Methods: A retrospective study of 113 patients, whose surgical biopsies submitted in histopathology section of Pathology department, LUMHS Jamshoro from January 2001 to December 2005., Results: Total of 113 cases, 61 male and 52 female children in age group from 4 months to 15 years were diagnosed as solid malignant tumour with M/F ratio of 1.79:1 and mean age of 6.6 year. Maximum no. of patients was in 0-4 age 50.4%, followed by 32.7% in 4-9 and 16.8% in 10-15 years. The five most common tumours were Retinoblastoma 38.9%, Wilm's tumour 13.2%, Brain tumour (Glial tumours) 10.6%, Hodgkin disease 9.7% and soft tissue sarcomas 9.7%. Retinoblastoma and Wilm's tumour were common in 0-4 year age group, where as rest of tumour were more frequent in 5-9 and 10-15 years age group. Brain tumours and soft tissue sarcomas were common in females, while Hodgkin's disease was more common in males., Conclusion: Retinoblastoma was most common solid malignant tumour in early age group. It calls for ophthalmologic screening of all children below 1 year and high risk children until the age of 7 year, in order to detect retinoblastoma as early as possible.
