Hornworts, liverworts and mosses are three early diverging clades of land plants, and together comprise the bryophytes. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the hornwort Anthoceros angustus. Phylogenomic inferences confirm the monophyly of bryophytes, with hornworts sister to liverworts and mosses. The simple morphology of hornworts correlates with low genetic redundancy in plant body plan, while the basic transcriptional regulation toolkit for plant development has already been established in this early land plant lineage. Although the Anthoceros genome is small and characterized by minimal redundancy, expansions are observed in gene families related to RNA editing, UV protection and desiccation tolerance. The genome of A. angustus bears the signatures of horizontally transferred genes from bacteria and fungi, in particular of genes operating in stress-response and metabolic pathways. OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Our objective was to determine whether drug-induced sleep apnea (DISE) affects the successfulness of the surgical outcome. STUDY DESIGN Prospective, seven-country, nonrandomized trial. METHODS There were 326 consecutive obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients who had nose, palate, and/or tongue surgery included in the study. DISE was performed in only one group. RESULTS There were 170 patients in the DISE group and 156 patients in no-DISE group. The mean preoperative body mass index (BMI) for the DISE group was 27.6 ± 4.6, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 28.1 ± 3.9 (P = .23). The mean preoperative systolic blood pressure (SBP) for the DISE group was 130.4 ± 16.7, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 142.9 ± 15.5 (P < .001). The mean preoperative diastolic blood pressure (DBP) for the DISE group was 81.4 ± 9.7, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 89.1 ± 9.7 (P < .001). The mean preoperative apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) for the DISE group was 32.6 ± 18.8, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 33.7 ± 19.6 (P = .61). The mean postoperative AHI for the DISE group was 15.9 ± 12.6, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 13.2 ± 8.8 (P = .023). The age-, gender-, BMI-adjusted percentage change in AHI for the DISE group was -48.4 ± 31.9, whereas in the no-DISE group it was -59.8 ± 18.6 (P < .001). The age-, gender-, and BMI-adjusted success rate for the DISE group was 66.5%, whereas in the no-DISE group it was 80.8% (P = .004). The age-, gender-, and BMI-adjusted change in SBP for the DISE group was -6.1 ± 8.6, whereas in the no-DISE group it was -13.3 ± 11.1 (P < .001). The age-, gender-, and BMI-adjusted change in DBP in the DISE group was -5.2 ± 12.1, whereas in the no-DISE group it was -12.4 ± 11.7 (P < .001). The mean age- and gender-adjusted change in BMI for the DISE group was -4.6 ± 12.9, whereas in the no-DISE group it was -6.3 ± 18.5 (P = .34). The Cohen effect of BMI on the overall AHI, lowest oxygen saturation, and blood pressure changes was 0.08. CONCLUSIONS DISE may not significantly affect surgical success in OSA. Systematic review of palate surgery for the treatment of OSA. Independent searches to identify publications relevant to OSA treatment and upper airway palate surgery. All relevant studies published between January 2001 and February 2018 were included. Inclusion criteria were adult patients, documented airway evaluation methods and absent hypopharyngeal collapse. Outcomes included success rates of treatment, AHI, Epworth scale, QOL and snoring VAS. Fifty-nine papers with a total of 2715 patients, UPPP accounted for 16.7% of all the procedures. Evident differentiation progressing from 2001 to 2018, from 2001 to 2010, the percentage of UPPP procedures were 25.67%, from 2011 to 2018, there were only 12.6% of UPPP procedures. To find low carbon heating measures in swine farms in Beijing China, A study of swine houses with area of 920 m2in swine farms in Beijing China was conducted and economic performance, emission reduction of ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP) heating system, coal fired heating system and other heating systems were analyzed and compared. The results showed that the initial investment of ground-coupled heat pump system was more than that of the coal fired heating system, the relative running cost of the heating systems of ground-coupled heat pump, coal fired, electricity resistance and natural gas was 0.86, 1.00, 3.17 and 1.22, respectively. CO2avoidances of GCHP heating systems were 57% and 73%, respectively, compared with conventional coal fired heating system and electricity resistance heating.

By using the Lagrange interpolation formula and the technology of signature of equality, a ( k, n ) threshold nominative proxy signature scheme is proposed, where an original signer delegates his (her) signing power to a proxy, who generates a nominative signature on behalf of the original signer and only k or more active verifiers in the n nominees (verifiers) nominated by the proxy signer can verify the signature signed by the proxy. If necessary, these ( k or more) active nominees (verifiers) can prove its validity to a third party. In this scheme, the secret shares are generated and encrypted by the original signer. At the same time, the ciphertexts of the secret shares are used as parts of the signature. Then, the secret shares need not be sent to the nominees (verifiers) secretly. The ordinary nominative proxy signature can be viewed as a (1, 1) threshold nominative proxy signature. The ordinary nominative proxy signature can be viewed as a special case of a ( k, n ) threshold nominative proxy signature. According to the security analysis of this paper, it is found that our scheme is secure against a proxy signing key forgery attack and existential forgery on an adaptive chosen message attack.

Four species of Ardisia (Myrsinaceae, Magnoliopsida) with rosette or low-lying leaves in China (including Hong Kong) have been found to be the hosts for 12 species of epiphyllous liverworts which belong to 4 families and 9 genera. However, no obvious species-specific hostepiphyte relationship could be recognized.

To investigate the differences in the development of primordial germ cells (PGCs) between male and female mouse embryos.The morphological changes of genital ridge development were detected in C57BL/6J mouse embryos of 11-13.5 days, and the changes of PGCs quantity and proliferation were compared between the male and female embryos using immunofluorescence histochemistry.The PGCs was the most numerous at 13.5 days in male and female embryos, and the quantity of proliferating PGCs reached the maximum at 13 days. The quantity of PGCs and proliferating PGCs in male embryos at 13 days was significantly larger than that in female embryos.The development of PGCs is characterized by a gender differences in early development of mouse embryos (11-13.5 days).

An updated checklist of the Anthocerotae and Hepaticae for Qinling (Mts.) recognizes 261 species, 20 varieties, 9 subspecies and 2 forms in 86 genera and 44 families. The distributional ranges are provided for each taxon in Qinling. The information in this paper is based on a review of the previous reports up to 2014 and the specimens held in PE, KUN, HSNU, SDNU, WUK and WNU herbaria. Eight genera, 122 species, 6 varieties and 6 subspecies are new records for Qinling, including two taxa newly recorded for China. Fifteen species, 8 varieties, and 2 forms are endemic to China.
