This paper examines governance strategies to address South Africa's persistent electricity infrastructure challenges, particularly recurring blackouts. It centres on the crucial role of the President in orchestrating effective energy service delivery. Drawing on historical approaches and employing intersectionality theory, it identifies key areas for improvement. Through secondary data research from various sources, including textbooks and journals, the paper advocates for prioritising renewable energy, enhancing accountability, and fostering stakeholder collaboration. The conclusions underscore the necessity of combined efforts among policymakers, officials, and stakeholders to stimulate investment, optimise infrastructure, and ensure universal electricity access. The paper's novelty lies in its comprehensive analysis within an intersectional framework, offering actionable recommendations for navigating South Africa's electricity landscape. Through embracing these strategies, South Africa can envision a future of reliable, accessible electricity, vital for societal well-being and holistic development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
