6. A power law solution for FRLW Universe with observational constraints

Abstract

This paper examines a power law solution under $f(R,T)$ gravity for an isotropic and homogeneous universe by considering its functional form as $f(R,T) = R + \xi RT$, where $\xi$ is a positive constant. In $f(R,T)$ gravity, we have built the field equation for homogeneous and isotropic spacetime. The developed model's solution is $a = \alpha t^{\beta}$. We have used the redshift in the range $0 \leq z \leq 1.965$ and obtained the model parameters $\alpha$, $\beta$, $H_0$ by using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method. The constrained values of the model parameter are as follows: $H_0 = 67.098^{+2.148}_{-1.792}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$, $H_0 = 67.588^{+2.229}_{-2.170}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$, $H_0 = 66.270^{+2.215}_{-2.181}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$, $H_0 = 65.960^{+2.380}_{-1.834}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$, $H_0 = 66.274^{+2.015}_{-1.864}$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$ which have been achieved by bounding the model with the Hubble parameter ($H(z)$) dataset, Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) dataset, Pantheon dataset, joint $H(z)$ + Pantheon dataset and collective $H(z)$ + BAO + Pantheon dataset, respectively. These computed $H_o$ observational values agree well with the outcomes from the Plank collaboration group. Through an analysis of the energy conditions' behaviour on our obtained solution, the model has been examined and analysed. Using the Om diagnostic as the state finder diagnostic tool and the jerk parameter, we have also investigated the model's validity. Our results show that, within a certain range of restrictions, the proposed model agrees with the observed signatures.

Abstract

Using wind turbines (WTs) equipped with doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) is a popular technology for generating renewable energy. To ensure safe operation, prompt maintenance, and better operational reliability, the induction generator used in wind energy must be monitored. In this paper, an analysis is carried out on stator currents of the DFIG machine in a wind farm to identify any blade imbalances in the wind farm. A fault characteristics extraction analysis is carried out on the machine stator currents to detect the fault in the system. Firstly, the mathematical equation of the DFIG blade unbalanced stator current is generated using the DFIG model. Secondly, Park's Transformation is used to modify the stator's 3-phase current. Further, by evaluating the feature frequency amplitude variation in the squared signal by doing a spectral analysis on the stator current vector's squared signal. Lastly, a Simulink model for the DFIG is developed. The suggested approach analyses the fault signal of the imbalanced blade fault at various wind velocities. The outcomes show that the suggested method for diagnosing impeller imbalance faults can successfully locate the fault. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As electric vehicles have been essential for the operators and for the nation. The availability of coal, petroleum, diesel, ade these vehicles is essential for the nation. Future demands of vehicles are increasing day by day so that the natural resources tooperate. These are increasing day by day. Petrol, diesel rates have become too much raised so normal people cannot afford this hike in the rates of petrol, diesel. So the electric vehicle is becoming important for the operators. The charging station is also required for charging the battery. The user and operator at the charging station have to wait there for charging the battery, they donot know the exact time taken by the charging of the battery. In this research paper, the user and charging station operator willget the intimation of the State of charge of the battery. When the battery is 95% charged then the user and operator will get intimation on the mobile phone. This model has the advanced technology that if the charging is done 100 % then SOC of the battery will be measured and charging will be shut off. The operator does not have to wait at the charging station to get it fully charged, the operator will get the indication in his mobile for the full charging of the battery so that he can go to the charging station at an accurate time. Abstract

Objectives: To solve the Multistage Distribution System Planning (MSDSP) problem by a solution strategy based on investment cost, operational cost and reliability of electric power distribution system network. Method: A distinctive multi- objective function model has been developed to compute the expansion period wise cost of investment, operational cost (cost of energy losses in the distribution network) and system reliability is evaluated in terms of Non-Supplied Energy Cost (NSEC) under contingency conditions. Findings:The computed result presents the cost of investment of new equipment, operational cost and NSEC for each period of network expansion along with overall cost of investment in all periods of network expansion. Results obtained also demonstrate the corresponding bus nodes voltages in per unit (pu) for each period of network expansion to satisfy the technical constraints of the voltage profiles. Novelty: A distinctive multi-objective function model is developed to solve MSDSP problem with planning & operational constraints and results obtained encourages the prospects related to the technical, economical and system reliability issues of electric power distribution system network. 41. Surgical outcomes following nerve transfers in upper brachial plexus injuries

Abstract

Background: Brachial plexus injuries represent devastating injuries with a poor prognosis. Neurolysis, nerve repair, nerve grafts, nerve transfer, functioning free-muscle transfer and pedicle muscle transfer are the main surgical procedures for treating these injuries. Among these, nerve transfer or neurotization is mainly indicated in root avulsion injury. Materials and Methods: We analysed the results of various neurotization techniques in 20 patients (age group 20-41 years, mean 25.7 years) in terms of denervation time, recovery time and functional results. The inclusion criteria for the study included irreparable injuries to the upper roots of brachial plexus (C5, C6 and C7 roots in various combinations), surgery within 10 months of injury and a minimum follow-up period of 18 months. The average denervation period was 4.2 months. Shoulder functions were restored by transfer of spinal accessory nerve to suprascapular nerve (19 patients), and phrenic nerve to suprascapular nerve (1 patient). In 11 patients, axillary nerve was also neurotized using different donors - radial nerve branch to the long head triceps (7 patients), intercostal nerves (2 patients), and phrenic nerve with nerve graft (2 patients). Elbow flexion was restored by transfer of ulnar nerve motor fascicle to the motor branch of biceps (4 patients), both ulnar and median nerve motor fascicles to the biceps and brachialis motor nerves (10 patients), spinal accessory nerve to musculocutaneous nerve with an intervening sural nerve graft (1 patient), intercostal nerves (3rd, 4th and 5th) to musculocutaneous nerve (4 patients) and phrenic nerve to musculocutaneous nerve with an intervening graft (1 patient). Results: Motor and sensory recovery was assessed according to Medical Research Council (MRC) Scoring system. In shoulder abduction, five patients scored M4 and three patients M3+. Fair results were obtained in remaining 12 patients. The achieved abduction averaged 95 degrees (range, 50 - 170 degrees). Eight patients scored M4 power in elbow flexion and assessed as excellent results. Good results (M3+) were obtained in seven patients. Five patients had fair results (M2+ to M3).

There were no procedure related complications and cosmetic results were excellent.

Abstract

Background: Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) uses two sources of energy namely primary and auxiliary source. If only the battery bank is used as a power source of vehicle, then the performance of the vehicle is not satisfactory due to continuous charging and discharging mode, also the direction and amount of the battery current are changed continuously causing stress in the battery bank. Objectives: Objective of the proposed work to control the power flow between battery and supercapacitor (SC) so as the dc bus voltage remains constant. The error is speed is to be minimised for desired operating conditions. Methods: The objective is achieved by using the unidirectional buck-boost converter with battery bank and bidirectional buck-boost converter with SC Auxiliary source provides the energy during acceleration and store the energy at the time of braking. The controller with tuned PID parameters ensures the responses of quickly with minimal overshoot. This paper presents control technique for a Battery and Supercapacitor operated HEV and the tuning of PID controller using Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO). The results are compared under various operating condition on the performance parameters integral absolute error (IAE), integral squared error (ISE), integral of the time-weighted absolute of the error (ITAE) and integral of the time-squired of the error (ITSE). Conclusions: The result suggests the PID parameters tuned with GWO technique give minimum error coefficients, The error is further reduced when SC is introduced with the battery as input source.
