Abstract

Background: Consensus about the definition and treatment of oligometastatic oesophagogastric cancer is lacking. Objective: To assess the definition and treatment of oligometastatic oesophagogastric cancer across multidisciplinary tumour boards (MDTs) in Europe. Material and methods: European expert centers (n = 49) were requested to discuss 15 real-life cases in their MDT with at least a medical, surgical, and radiation oncologist present. The cases varied in terms of location and number of metastases, histology, timing of detection (i.e. synchronous versus metachronous), primary tumour treatment status, and response to systemic therapy. The primary outcome was the agreement in the definition of oligometastatic disease at diagnosis and after systemic therapy. The secondary outcome was the agreement in treatment strategies. Treatment strategies for oligometastatic disease were categorised into upfront local treatment (i.e. metastasectomy or stereotactic radiotherapy), systemic therapy followed by restaging to consider local treatment or systemic therapy alone. Abstract

Background: The implementation of the education at distance during the process of teaching learning of the posgrado in the current context of the pandemic COVID-19, constitutes an alternative from the system of superior education to world level. Objective: to describe the results obtained in the Module 7 Attention to the smaller than 19 years I, by means of the education modality at distance during the third rebrote of the Pandemic of COVID -19.Methods: he/she was carried out a descriptive traverse observational study between June and July of 2021, in the Ability of Estomatología of the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago from Cuba. They were considered as analysis units: didactic units, students (residents), a random sample was selected (n = 96). The variables results of the evaluations of each didactic and general unit of the module (excellent, well, regular and bad), grade of difficulty (very difficult, difficult and without difficulty) and level of satisfaction (satisfied, fairly satisfied and unsatisfied) were studied. As mensuration instrument evaluation registration was used and of interview, respectively. It was used the percentage like summary measure.Results: more than 50% of the evaluated residents it was in the category of well without any difficulty, being satisfied with the education modality at distance employee.Conclusions: the implementation of the education at distance during the sanitary current situation in the specialty of EGI is an opportunity to develop the educational process in the posgrado.

Abstract

At the time of a survey of the biology of Lithognathus mormyrus and its feeding ecology and dynamies, in the region of Algiers and Annaba, preys ingested by this species were determined from stomach contents. Food was composed entirely of benthic organisms. It has been counted more than 45 species-preys distributed in 9 taxonomic classes. The quantitative analysis of these preys and the variation of the food regime according to a certain number of parameters were treated. The young individuals fed on small Tellinids bivalves and adults, on Crustaceans Amphipods, Cumaceans, Decapodes, Molluscs, sea urchins and Polychaetes. The feeding of this fish was rich and varied in preys species and little among them were preferential. The three main sources of food were Molluscs Crustaceans and tlle Clupeids fish L. mormyrus was classified as euryphage Variations according to the region were landed from a mathematical model of prey-predators type. NOT CONTROLLED OCR, Lors d'une étude de la biologie, de l'écologie alimentaire et de sa dynamique de Lithognathus mormyrus, dans la région d'Alger et d'Annaba, les proies ingérées par cette espèce sont déterminées à partir des contenus stomacaux. La nourriture est entièrement composée d'organismes benthiques. Il a été dénombré plus de 45 espèce-proies réparties en 9 classes taxonomiques. L'analyse quantitative de ces proies et les variations du régime alimentaire en fonction d'un certain nombre de paramètres sont traitées. Les jeunes individus se nourrissent de petits bivalves Tellinidés, les adultes, de crustacés amphipodes, de cumacés, de décapodes, de mollusques, d'oursins et de polychètes. L'alimentation de ce poisson est riche et variée en espèce-proies et peu d'entre elles sont préférentielles. Les trois principales sources de nourriture sont les mollusques, les crustacés et les poissons clupeidés. Lithognathus mormyrus est du type euryphage. Les variations en fonction de la région sont abordées à partir d'un modèle mathématique de type proie-prédateurs. OCR NON CONTROLE

Abstract

Introduction: The oral leukoplakia is clinically presented in multiple forms. At the moment it is considered that can be homogeneous or non homogeneous. Objective: To characterize patients with oral leukoplakia according to selected variables. Method: A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 30 patients with leukoplakia was carried out, they were assisted in the Program of Detection of Oral Cancer service, belonging to the health area of Carlos Juan Finlay University Polyclinic in SongoLa Maya,Santiago de Cuba, during 2016. The following variables were analyzed: age, sex, skin color, risk factors, clinical forms presentation of leukoplakia, localization, number of lesions, time of nicotine addiction and malignant transformation. Results: The 45-64 age group, male sex and persons of mixed race prevailed. The most affected anatomical localization was the residual alveolar edge. Most of those affected presented a single lesion with homogeneous clinical form, and any malignant transformation after their intervention. Nicotine addiction was the most prevalent risk factor. Conclusions: The early detection of the oral complex lesions depends on the patient’s examination on time. An accurate diagnosis should be carried out to achieve a significant reduction of the morbidity and mortality and to increase cure and survival.
