Abstract

Lotfi A. Zadeh, whose 100th anniversary is celebrated all over the world in 2021, is a genius bestowed by the Azerbaijani people to the scientific world of thought. Lotfi A. Zadeh the only phenomenon was chosen as a lifetime professor for great services in the field of artificial intelligence from the AI Institute. This commentary describes the life and rich scientific activity of the world-renowned Azerbaijani scientist Lotfi A. Zadeh. It is impossible to understand and imagine the methodology of artificial intelligence, which is currently relevant all over the world, without the philosophy of these sciences, including the theories of Lotfi A. Zade. According to Google Scholar, as of February 2021, Lotfi A. Zadeh's work has been cited about 270,000 times in scholarly works, with the 1965 Fuzzy sets paper receiving more than 115,000 citations .The author also sought to evaluate the methodological and practical relationship of Lotfi A. The article discusses chief executive Kazuhiro Tsuga's restructuring of Japanese conglomerate Panasonic. He has shut factories, outsourced manufacturing, imposed layoffs, and reduced costs while restoring Panasonic to profitability. The company has also entered into a partnership to make electric-car batteries with electric vehicle maker Tesla Motors. Tsuga says Panasonic could benefit from the business savvy of Telsa chief executive Elon Musk.

13. The politics of resistance to new technology: semiconductor diffusion in France and Japan until 1965.

Abstract

Introduction The invention of the transistor in 1947 ushered electronics into a new era. Although access to transistor technology was relatively open, France and Japan responded differently to the opportunities offered by the new technology. This chapter compares their national responses to semiconductor technology, particularly transistors, up to the mid-1960s. Semiconductor diffusion occurred faster in Japan than in France and this had important industrial competitiveness consequences. Partly as a result of historical patterns of state action (or lack thereof) and societal arrangements, by 1972 there was no French firm among the world's top ten semiconductor firms, and only one among the top twenty (Webbink 1977, p. 22). In contrast, there were two Japanese firms among the top ten and five among the top twenty. By 1960 Japanese transistor production was larger than French. Early technological choices shaped the future competitiveness of the national industry in semiconductors. Conventional views portray Japanese society and state as forward looking and fascinated with material progress. Since the Meiji restoration Japanese society has been eager to adopt modernity and build upon it. In contrast, France, her society and state, are portrayed as conservative with regard to new technologies at least until World War II. Formalistic explanations which analyse the cultural form of resistance hide the historically contingent and political nature of that resistance. To identify cultural, market or societal differences may be a sufficient explanation of resistance from a functionalist viewpoint but it fails to uncover the process characteristics of the phenomenon, which is an important resource for collective action. Abstract

The Supreme Court erred by deciding that the proposition - that the Japanese television manufacturers, the defendants in Magsushita, had acted as independent competitors -- had greater plausibility than the plaintiffs' charge that they had conspired to depress U.S. prices and take a large part of the U.S. market. Independent competitors would not have exported to the U.S., where prices were much below those in the home market. Moreover, the record evidence showed collusion in both the home and U.S. markets. In this paper we focus on Matsushita joint enterprise, Japanese Company and analyze the management by interviewing in China. How do they manage the company in the transition of Chinese economic reform in spite of the different systems of the two countries. We focus on (1) employment, (2) pay, (3) personal training and (4) labor union. This paper show the consideration and the analysis.

Abstract

This contribution focuses on the challenges facing the Matsushita corporation of Japan, one of the world's largest companies and one with a 70-year commitment to serving society, as it attempts to reconcile its very conservative business philosophy and accompanying discourse with one particular demand of globalization highlighted in this contribution: the entrusting of power to local managers. Attention is paid to the evolution of the Matsushita corporation and the legacy of its influential founder, Konosuke Matsushita (1894-1989), whose business philosophy, developed in the early 1930s, is still the foundation of the company's decision-making processes. Based on a worldwide empirical study it is shown that the ethnocentricity and the very discourse of globalization of the Matsushita Corporation works against localization. Despite the unusual features associated with the Matsushita Corporation, its Japanocentric outlook and practices suggest productive new directions for cross cultural management research.
