A new poll conducted by U.S. News shows that many young Americans in swing states are not concerned about the Democratic Party's messaging about the threat Donald Trump poses to democracy. While more than half of respondents agree that Trump is a danger to democracy, close to half either did not or didn't take a position. Only about half agreed that democracy is on the ballot, and just 49% said they are definitely going to vote in November. Political analysts suggest that the messaging may not be resonating with younger voters because they underestimate the potential impact on their lives and view the warnings as exaggerated. Additionally, young adults in swing states are more concerned with policies that affect their day-to-day lives, such as the cost of living and higher education. However, Biden's messaging about Trump is resonating more among other age groups. There is still time for the Democrats to change the narrative, but time is running out. [Extracted from the article]
