The paper presents the results of the research of performance measurement of a selected aircraft type in the take-off phase under extreme temperature conditions. For this purpose, a flight simulator of the Cessna 172 RG aircraft from the ELITE Company was used. For the purpose of verifying the take-off run length, the article provides a measurement methodology that was developed using information obtained during experimental take-offs. The aim was to obtain a procedure that would allow for repeated take-off runs in the same conditions with the possibility of changing individual influencing factors. Considering the whole measurement chain, the article analyses the influencing factors and quantifies their impact on the uncertainty of the measurement result. The data obtained experimentally we compared with the data in the Flight Manual and at the end carried out the assessment of the impact of global warming on the take-off run of the Cessna 172 RG and generally on the safety of the take-off and on air transport..

The specific professions of aviation personnel include the professions of the pilot and air traffic controller. These occupations are specific in that while performing their work, they must be able to simultaneously operate the devices in the handling area and in the pedipulation area, supplemented by acoustic sensations in the form of correspondence between flying and ground stations. The performance requirements of pilots and air traffic controllers place high demands on their health, psychological condition, attention, and concentration, due to being in constant pursuit of minimization of erroneous decisions, otherwise defined as the human factor in aviation. This article is focused on the development and testing of a technical device for measuring the relative error rate of students in multitasking tasks in preparation for employment. The main result is a designed technical device with hardware (HW) and software (SW) parts. An experimental method was used to measure the qualitative and quantitative performance indicators of the test subjects. The results of the experiment were observed and evaluated based on the analytical-synthetic method based on critical thinking. By comparing and abstracting the measured data, the reference values of the performance indicators of the tested subjects were determined. The selection of the final sample of subjects consisted of two phases. In the first phase, questionnaires were evaluated, and in the second phase, reaction time measurements during multitasking tasks using technical equipment were evaluated. Based on the measurements, an error ratio was defined, which could be graphically represented. The testing proved the full functionality of the designed technical equipment for these purposes in aviation education.

Testing in the field of parachute technology provides space for the application of new and innovative methods of measuring operating and functional parameters. The main aim of the paper is to present the results of research for the verification of the photo-optical method of measuring the vertical speed of the M-282 parachutes, and for its use in testing, collecting, and investigating motion data in parachuting. As part of this measuring technology, twelve jumps were performed. It was verified that the experiment was completed for the M-282 parachute according to the regulation of SAE AS 8015B “Minimum Performance Standard Parachute Assemblies and Components”. An analysis of the influencing factors and quantification of their influence on the uncertainty of the measurement results was also performed. The results of the measurement achieved by using the photo-optical method were compared with the measurement with the electronic variometer FLYTEC 4030. The vertical speed of the M-282 parachute (4.655 m·s−1) defined by the photo-optical method is significantly similar to the vertical speed of the M-282 parachute (4.662 m·s−1) defined by FLYTEC 4030. We can state that the process of identifying the vertical speed of the parachute by the photo-optical method was correct. This is a suitable method of evaluating motion data in the operation of M-282 type parachutes. In the following research for generalization of the methodology, we assume the performance of more than 60 experimental jumps using different types of parachutes, digital sensors (cameras), and a photo-optical method to examine motion data and formulate recommendations for testing, investigative applications, individualized training programs, and aspects of parachuting injury prevention.

The main task of the article is to obtain a comprehensive overview of the potential possibilities of training military air traffic controllers and to create a basis for future decisions on how to train professional aviation personnel for the needs of the Slovak Air Forces.

One of the praxeological problems of safe and sustainable air transport (airfreight transport/air cargo, and air passenger transport) is the prevention and management of risks by competent staff, with the support of modern information and communication technologies. This paper presents an educational information model and software for the airport network and information systems risk assessment, primarily intended for aviation education and training of professionals for ensuring safe and sustainable air transport. The solution to the problem is based on the application of the fuzzy logic method in the air transport environment. Based on a fuzzy expert model, the selected scenario, and the input data established separately for airport assets by a group of 23 experts from aviation practice and a university, the following three assessments of airport network information system assets were constructed: Asset A2 (meteorological information systems) has an insignificant risk with an estimated 0.1162, and assets A1 (air traffic control and management (ATM), navigational aids and approach) and A3 (runway monitoring system) received a low risk of airport network and information systems (NIS) security with ratings of 0.2623 and 0.2915, respectively. An airport NIS risk assessment was aggregated (0.2288), indicating a low degree of security risk to the airport&rsquo, s network and information systems. The aggregated risk assessment of airport NIS, including financial loss data, was calculated as 0.1438, representing a low degree of security risk to the airport&rsquo, s network and information systems. Scenarios for evaluating airport assets are changing for students during education. The results of the developed model and its software will be part of the Simulation Center of the Faculty of Aeronautics.

This study deals with a selection process of pilots samples and a research methodology, the both as essential criteria for successful completion of the project titled "Application of the self-regulatory methods for the preparation of flight crew". Apart of the selection process, the paper includes project hypothesis based on the analytical phase of the project. The hypothesis are verified in the research phase of this project. The study includes research methodologies for simulator environment or live flying as well as partial research results.

The article discusses climate change and average monthly air temperature in 2019 at Košice International Airport. The article analyses the monthly average air temperature in 2019 and the deviation of these values from the normal (1981- 2010). With the help of statistic tests and calculations is verified the correctness of the hypothesis that the air temperature in 2019 at Košice Airport is warmer than the normal. The measured values and the deviation of the 2019 average monthly air temperature from the normal are defined on Picture 1. The article contains statistic calculations (the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Student́s t-test for verifying the hypothesis), picture and table for visualization the mentioned facts.

The aim of the paper is to examine the methods, forms and didactic means of aviation education of military pilots at the selected institutions from 1973 to the present using the analysis for the quality teaching process and the interaction of edutants (human factors) - teachers and students, based on the SWOT analysis of selected historical data. The paper is the second part of the study on the issue of aviation education, which answers the question of strengths and weaknesses, risks and opportunities for the future education quality aspects. The main motive of our pre-research and historical data analysis is to acquire the knowledge applicable to the creation of new study programs of the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University of Kosice (FA) in the study field Transport according to the new descriptions approved by the Accreditation commission.

The aim of paper is to identify the risks of university aviation education of military pilots at the selected institutions from 1973 to the present using the analysis for the quality teaching process and the interaction of edutants (human factors) teachers and students. The paper is the third part of the study on the above issue of aviation education, which answers the question of the research identification of data. The main motive of our pre-research and historical data analysis is to acquire the knowledge applicable to the creation of new study programs of the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University of Kosice (FA) in the study field Transport according to the new descriptions approved by the Accreditation commission. Not everything from the history of aviation education was bad and unusable for the present and the future.

The article is the first part of the study on the issue of aviation education, which answers the question of strengths and weaknesses, risks and opportunities for quality content. The result is knowledge applicable in the creation of content for new study programs of the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University in Kosice.

This article highlights the importance of examining human factors in aviation, especially in air traffic control. It analyzes the factors affecting performance of air traffic controllers (ATC) and increase or decrease of security. The aim is to eliminate the risk factors affecting air traffic controllers in the working and the training phase.
