In the present study, the heat transfer of nanofluid magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) fluid flow through a channel with radiation and viscous dissipation effect is considered. Also, the induced magnetic field is considered. The main aim of the study is to obtain the impact of the induced magnetic field, nanoparticle volume fraction, non-electrically conducting, and conducting walls on the MHD nanofluid flow and heat transfer. Hence, the governing equations include momentum, energy, and induced magnetic field equations that are transformed into non-dimensional forms. The analytical least square method (LSM) and numerical finite element method (FEM) effectively conducted for solving the problem. The results of LSM and FEM are compared, and it is observed that there is an excellent agreement. The effect of several parameters such as Hartmann number, suction/injection parameter, magnetic Prandtl number, radiation parameter, Eckert number, and nanoparticle volume fraction are demonstrated and discussed. It can be concluded that the augmentation of the Hartmann number reduces the value of velocity by up to 50%, and the magnetic Prandtl number augmentation reduces the non-dimensional velocity value of about 10% but increases the induced current density value more than twice. Moreover, the increase of radiation parameter, Eckert number, and nanoparticle volume fraction enhance the heat transfer by 20–50%. Besides, the absolute value of the induced magnetic field increases when the Hartmann number rises. Further, the injection parameter decreases the value of velocity and induced magnetic field by 40–50%; whereas, the value of temperature increases by about 40%, and the induced current density increases by 5–7 times. SUMMARY: This paper presents a novel robust hybrid fractional order proportional derivative sliding mode controller (HFOPDSMC) for 2-degree of freedom (2-DOF) robot manipulator based on extended grey wolf optimizer (EGWO). Sliding mode controller (SMC) is remarkably robust against the uncertainties and external disturbances and shows the valuable properties of accuracy. In this paper, a new fractional order sliding surface (FOSS) is defined. Integrating the fractional order proportional derivative controller (FOPDC) and a new sliding mode controller (FOSMC), a novel robust controller based on HFOPDSMC is proposed. The bounded model uncertainties are considered in the dynamics of the robot, and then the robustness of the controller is verified. The Lyapunov theory is utilized in order to show the stability of the proposed controller. In this paper, the EGWO is developed by adding the emphasis coefficients to the typical grey wolf optimizer (GWO). The GWO and EGWO, then, are applied to optimize the proposed control parameters which result in the optimized GWO-HFOPDSMC and EGWO-HFOPDSMC, respectively. The effectivenesses of the optimized controllers (GWO-HFOPDSMC and EGWO-HFOPDSMC) are completely verified by comparing the simulation results of the optimized controllers with the typical FOSMC and HFOPDSMC. During the past decades, there have been a great amount of research activities in approximate problem solving to estimate the real amount of states of dynamical systems using measurement data corrupted with noise. One of the most famous approximate solving methods is Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF). In UKF, the estimation is based on a collection of symmetrical sigma points around an a priori-estimated state. In this paper, Genetic Algorithm (GA) is firstly used to optimally select the best coefficients of the symmetrical sigma points related to Scaled Unscented Transform in UKF (GA-UKF) to minimize the mean of squared error of estimations. Moreover, GA is also used to select a collection of asymmetrical sigma points (GA-ASKF) to minimize the mean of squared error of estimations together with same statistics of the mean and covariance matrix. The new idea of the asymmetric sigma points Kalman filter of this paper which are optimally found again by using GA evidently outperforms both conventional UKF and GA-UKF of this paper in estimating the states of dynamical systems. Control engineers are interested in state estimation problems as one of the most interesting subject. In this way, Kalman filter, H-infinity, and Mixed Kalman/H-infinity filter are the most widely used filters for state estimation of the discrete linear dynamical system corrupted with Gaussian and white noises. These filters will be, however, suboptimal for state estimation when the process noise and/or measurement noise are color noises. In this paper, a multi-objective Pareto optimization(multi-objective genetic algorithm) approach is presented for the design of combined Kalman/H-infinity filters to estimate states corrupted with color noises. In this way, a state augmentation procedure is used to analyze the effect of the colored noises on states estimation of an inverted pendulum. Some Pareto curves are then obtained to compromise between the Kalman and H-infinity filters. It is shown that the use of such approach can evidently improve the effectiveness of the filters when the color noises are significant. Therefore, by using the proposed approach, we can employ the advantages of both Kalman and H-infinity filters simultaneously to minimize both the mean of squared errors and the upper bounds limit of estimation errors. Transition metal oxides have demonstrated excellent capability for charge storage when used in supercapacitor electrodes. This study undertook the hydrothermal synthesis of bimetallic nickel and manganese oxide (NiO/MnO 2 ) on a carbon-felt (CF) substrate. NiO/MnO 2 /CF electrode was characterized and examined in a three-electrode system in a potassium hydroxide electrolyte. Cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge-discharge analyses revealed Faradaic behavior during charge storage, a specific capacity of 1627 F g -1 , and a stability of 96.8% after 5000 consecutive charge-discharge cycles. Subsequent investigations were conducted in a two-electrode system for constructing a symmetrical supercapacitor using the NiO/MnO 2 /CF electrode. The energy and power densities were determined as 43Wh kg -1 and 559 W kg -1 . Additionally, the stability of the constructed supercapacitor device was examined over 5000 consecutive cycles, verifying a 92% stability through charge-discharge cycles.
