Abstract Background Identifying the factors affecting emotional divorce due to the negative consequences of this social problem in women can play an important role in preventing its occurrence. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the relationship between internet addiction, domestic violence, and emotional divorce among married women in Tehran. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted among married women in Tehran, Iran. Sampling was conducted first through a multi-stage cluster method and then continued using a random method. Tehran was divided into five parts: central, northern, southern, eastern, and western. The sample size was divided by 5, resulting in 80 participants selected from each part. In each part, two regions were selected, and in each region, 40 houses were randomly selected. Researchers visited the selected houses, and the questionnaires were filled out at home by the women. Tools such as Gottman’s Emotional Divorce Test, Young’s Internet Addiction Test, and the Domestic Violence against Women Survey were used to collect data. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data in SPSS (version 24) software. Results A total of 400 women participated in the study. 46% of all married women suffered emotional divorce. Abstract Background The World Health Organization defines mental health as a combination of two dimensions: the negative dimension, or negative mental health, which indicates the presence of mental disorders, symptoms, and problems, and the positive dimension, or positive mental health, which includes emotions and positive personal characteristics such as self-esteem, resilience against environmental challenges, a sense of integrity, and self-efficacy. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of internet addiction and academic resilience in predicting the mental health of high school students in Tehran, Iran. Method The research method employed was a survey. 758 people participated in the study, and the samples consisted of high school students in Tehran during the academic year 2022–2023. The process of collecting information was carried out by distributing the questionnaire link through virtual networks and schools. The research utilized Young’s Internet Addiction Test, Samuels’ Academic Resilience Inventory, and Goldberg’s Mental Health Questionnaire as the research tools. Statistical tests, including Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis, were employed to investigate the relationships between variables. Result The effect of internet addiction on mental health (ß=0.39) is negative and significant at the 0.001 level, while the effect of academic resilience on mental health (ß=0.66) is positive and significant at the 0.001 level. These two variables collectively predict 53% of the variance in students’ mental health. This indicates that as internet addiction increases among students, their mental health significantly decreases, whereas higher levels of academic resilience correspond to higher mental health. Conclusions This study has elucidated the role of internet addiction and academic resilience in predicting the mental health of high school students in Tehran. Given the significance of adolescent mental health, it is imperative for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to develop intervention and prevention models to address mental health crises and plan for the enhancement of adolescent mental health.

Abstract Background Stigma affects different life aspects in people living with bipolar disorder and their families. This study aimed to examining the experience of stigma and evaluating predictors, consequences and strategies to combat stigma in people with bipolar disorder and their families. Methods We conducted a systematic review according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) in 2022. We extensively reviewed six online databases (PubMed, Scopus, Medline, EMBASE, Web of Science and Google Scholar). Articles published in the English language about stigma in people living with bipolar disorders and their families were included. Results A total of 42,763 articles were retrieved, of which 40 articles from 14 countries were included in this study (n = 7417 participants). Of the 40 articles, 29 adopted quantitative methods (72.5%), two used mixed-methods (5%), eight used qualitative (20%) methods, and one was a case series (2.5%). The results of the studies were categorized into four themes: 1. Stigma experienced by people living with bipolar disorders and their families, 2. Predictors of stigma in people living with bipolar disorders and their families, 3. Consequences of stigma in people living with bipolar disorders and their families, 4. Effective interventions and strategies to reduce stigma in people living with bipolar disorders and their families. Conclusion The results of this study might be useful to design psychiatric cognitive interventions to reduce stigma in people living with bipolar disorders and their families and designing community-based interventions to normalize bipolar disorder at the community level.

Abstract Background One of the most challenging issues faced by families of people living with bipolar disorder is stigma. This study was conducted to explain the process of stigma experience in the families of people living with bipolar disorder using the grounded theory method. Methods Data for this study were collected through semi-structured interviews with participants in Razi Psychiatric Hospital in Tehran, Iran, via purposive sampling and field notetaking. The dependability, conformability, and transferability measures were included to support the data accuracy and robustness, and MAXQDA 2020 software was used to facilitate data coding. The Strauss–Corbin method was used to analyse the data. Results A total of 20 family members of people living with bipolar disorder, four people living with bipolar disorder, and three mental health professionals participated in this study. The analysis of participants’ experiences led to identifying 64 subcategories, 21 categories, and six main concepts, including social deprivation, being labelled, cultural deficiency and lack of awareness, economic challenges, forced acceptance of the existing situation, and social isolation. Conclusion Families of people living with bipolar disorder experience social deprivation, social isolation, and social rejection, which have irreparable consequences for them. Overcoming stigma in these families should be a priority of policymakers and planners in the field of psychosocial health.

Aim: Considering the effect of disability on social and economic dimensions of society and on the social life of a person with disability, the study and analysis of various aspects of this group of society seems necessary. The purpose of this study was to systematically review research on social aspects of disability in Iran.Methods:This study was a systematic review study. The statistical population of the study included of all research articles from quantitative and qualitative studies conducted in Iran that were published in Persian on social aspects of disability from 1378 to July 1398, in order to achieve Related studies, keywords including social and social dimensions, disability, exceptional, special needs and disabilities were searched in the scientific databases. After screening at different stages, 25 articles were studied in depth and analyzed.Results:Out of 26 articles, 10 articles in quantitative method, 12 articles in qualitative method and 4 articles in mixed method had been done. Used tools included 8 researcher-made questionnaires and 15 ready-made questionnaires.Also Information on 16 articles was obtained through interviews and focus group meetings. The target group 77% of the articles consisted from persons with physical-motor disability, 15% with sensory impairment (blindness and hearing loss), and 8% with mental disability. Also, two articles (8%) focused on the social dimensions of women's disability.Conclusion:The results showed that disability affects the social dimension of people's lives .The findings of this study can lead to a comprehensive understanding of these people and increase awareness in this field.
