A comparative study of seventy-eight male and seventy-eight female gamblers was conducted for comparing the genders of pathological gamblers in relation to their risk-taking behaviors and examining the relationship of the risk behaviors with impulsivity and emotional distress. Impulsivity and emotional distress were found to be associated with risk-taking gamblers and young gamblers who displayed potentially harmful behaviors would require more attention.
