Coagulase negative staphylococci are normal inhabitant of the human skin flora that account for an increasing number of infections, particularly hospital-acquired infections. Staphylococcus lugdunensis has emerged as a most virulent species causing various infections with clinical characteristics close to what clinicians usually observe with Staphylococcus aureus and both bacteria share more than 70% of their genome. Virulence of S. aureus relies on a large repertoire of virulence factors, many of which are encoded on mobile genetic elements. S. lugdunensis also bears various putative virulence genes but only one complete genome with extensive analysis has been published with one prophage sequence (φSL2) and a unique plasmid was previously described. In this study, we performed de novo sequencing, whole genome assembly and annotation of seven strains of S. lugdunensis from VISLISI clinical trial. We searched for the presence of virulence genes and mobile genetics elements using bioinformatics tools. We identified four new prophages, named φSL2 to φSL4, belonging to the Siphoviridae class and five plasmids, named pVISLISI_1 to pVISLISI_5. Three plasmids are homologous to known plasmids that include, amongst others, one S. aureus plasmid. The two other plasmids were not described previously. This study provides a new context for the study of S. lugdunensis virulence suggesting the occurrence of several genetic recombination' with other staphylococci.

The prevalence of unsuspected language deficits, high in clinical settings, was examined in a sample of 167 clinic-referred preschoolers (aged 3 to 5): 73.1 % were diagnosed with a language disorder, which is consistent with rates reported by the literature. The sensitivity of parental worry for language development was particularly high (88.5 %). However, for 25.5 % of non-worried parents, the child also had language deficits. The non-detection of language deficits can lead to significant negative consequences for the development of the child who presents behavioral problems. It therefore needs to be prevented as soon as possible., La prévalence des déficits langagiers insoupçonnés, élevée en milieux cliniques, a été examinée dans un échantillon de 167 enfants (3 à 5 ans) référés en psychiatrie : 73,1 % sont diagnostiqués avec un trouble du langage, ce qui concorde avec les taux rapportés par la littérature. La sensibilité de l’inquiétude parentale pour le développement langagier est particulièrement élevée (88,5 %). Cependant, pour 25,5 % des parents non inquiets, l’enfant présente aussi des déficits langagiers. La non-détection des déficits langagiers peut entrainer des conséquences négatives majeures pour l’évolution de l’enfant en difficulté comportementale et nécessite donc d’être prévenue le plus tôt possible.

International audience; In the present work, we study and analyze an efficient iterative coupling method for a dimensionally heterogeneous problem . We consider the case of 2-D Laplace equation with non symmetric boundary conditions with a corresponding 1-D Laplace equation. We will first show how to obtain the 1-D model from the 2-D one by integration along one direction, by analogy with the link between shallow water equations and the Navier-Stokes system. Then, we will focus on the design of an Schwarz-like iterative coupling method. We will discuss the choice of boundary conditions at coupling interfaces. We will prove the convergence of such algorithms and give some theoretical results related to the choice of the location of the coupling interface, and the control of the difference between a global 2-D reference solution and the 2-D coupled one. These theoretical results will be illustrated numerically.; Dans ce document nous étudions et analysons et une méthode de couplage multidimensionnel itérative. Nous considérons le cas de l'équation de Laplace 2-D avec des conditions aux bords non symétriques, couplée avec une équation de Laplace 1-D correspondante. dans un premier temps nous montrons comment obtenir le modèle 1-D à partir du modèle 2-D par intégration verticale et par analogie avec la dérivation des équations de Saint-Venant à partir des équations de Navier-Stokes. Ensuite nous présentons un algorithme de couplage de type Schwarz. Nous discutons le choix des conditions aux interfaces de couplage. Nous démontrons la convergence de tels algorithmes et donnons quelques résultats théoriques sur le choix de la position des interfaces de couplage. Un résultat théorique sur le contrôle de l'erreur entre la solution globale 2-D de référence et la solution 2-D couplée sera aussi donné. Enfin nous illustrons ces résultats numériquement.

The purpose of this work is to apply domain decomposition methods to some oceanographic equations. Classical domain decomposition methods treat stationary problems. We generalize in this work this method to the time dependent problems resulting in a Schwarz Waveform Relaxation method. This allows to simulate multiphysic problems with for example different time steps in each subdomain. The principle of this method is to write first the absorbing boundary conditions on the interfaces, then to approximate them by differential operators of order 1 in the normal direction to the interface and of order 0 or 1 in the tangential direction. We analyse first the convection diffusion equation : we approximate the exact operators by a Taylor development or by optimization of the convergence rate. We show that the such introduce subdomain problems are well posed and that the corresponding algorithm is convergent. Numerical results are implemented with or without overlap and illustrate the efficiency of the method. A first step towards coupling of equation is made in studying the coupling between the convection equation with the convection diffusion equation. Similarly to the domain decomposition method, we write transparent operators on the interface then we approximate them. Encouraging numerical results are obtained., L'objectif de ce travail est de développer des algorithmes de décomposition de domaine pour des équations de l'océanographie. Les méthodes de décomposition de domaine consistent à décomposer un domaine de calcul de grand taille en plusieurs sous-domaines plus petits. Elles s'appliquaient jusqu'à présent à des problèmes stationnaires, nous généralisons ici ce type de méthodes aux problèmes en temps ('Schwarz Waveform Relaxation Methods'). Le principal but de cette nouvelle approche est de simuler des problèmes multiphysiques pour lesquels il est intéressant d'avoir une discrétisation temporelle différente dans chaque sous-domaine. Nous généralisons aux équations d'évolution une méthode récente qui consiste à écrire les conditions transparentes (Conditions aux Limites Absorbantes) puis les approche par des opérateurs différentiels d'ordre 1 dans la direction normale à l'interface et d'ordre 0 ou 1 dans la direction tangentielle. Nous développons cette méthode premièrement pour l'équation de convection diffusion qui traduit notamment l'advection des traceurs (température, salinité, traceurs passifs) dans l'océan. Nous approchons les opérateurs exacts par développement de Taylor, ou par optimisation du taux de convergence. Nous démontrons que les problèmes aux limites introduits sont bien posés. Puis nous montrons la convergence des algorithmes correspondants. Des résultats numériques sont implémentés dans le cas avec ou sans recouvrement et mettent en évidence la réelle efficacité des méthodes optimisées. Nous faisons ensuite un premier pas vers le couplage d'équations en implémentant un algorithme de couplage de l'équation de convection avec l'équation de convection diffusion. Ensuite nous traitons les équations de Saint Venant, moyennes verticales des équations de Navier-Stokes en milieu tournant. Nous introduisons pour ce système un algorithme de décomposition de domaine avec des conditions d'interface qui s'obtiennent par des considérations physiques. Nous montrons que cet algorithme est bien posé puis nous en démontrons la convergence. Des résultats numériques concluants sont également exposés.

The distributed computing scenario is rapidly evolving for integrating selforganizing and dynamic wireless networks. Unreliable failure detectors are classical mechanisms which provide information about process failures and can help systems to cope with the high dynamism of these networks. A number of failure detection algorithms has been proposed so far. Nonetheless, most of them assume a global knowledge about the membership as well as a fully communication connectivity; additionally, they are timer-based, requiring that eventually some bound on the message transmission will permanently hold. These assumptions are no longer appropriate to the new scenario. This paper presents a new failure detector protocol which implements a new class of detectors, namely <>S(M), which adapts the properties of the <>S class to a dynamic network with an unknown membership. It has the interesting feature to be time-free, so that it does not rely on timers to detect failures; moreover, it tolerates mobility of nodes and message losses.; L'informatique répartie intègre de plus en plus des réseaux sans fil dynamiques et auto-organisant. Les détecteurs de fautes non fiables sont un mécanisme classique fournissant des informations sur les processus défaillants. Ils peuvent être particulièrement utiles pour gérer le dynamisme important de ces réseaux. De nombreux algorithmes de détection de fautes ont déjà été proposés. Cependant, la plupart d'entre eux considèrent un ensemble connu de processus interconnectés par un réseau complètement maillé. De plus, ces détecteurs reposent sur des temporisateurs et supposent à terme des bornes sur les délais de transmission des messages. Des telles hypothèses ne sont pas réalistes dans les environnements dynamiques. Cet article présente un nouveau protocole pour détecter les fautes qui implémente une nouvelle classe de détecteurs, appelé <>S(M), qui adapte les propriétés de la classe <>S aux réseaux dynamiques avec l'absence de la connaissance des participants. Notre détecteur ne repose sur aucun temporisateur ; de plus, il tolère la mobilité des noeuds et la perte de messages.

International audience; Although the two-way nesting is the most usual coupling method in the ocean community, it does not address the correct problem but an approximation, and does not ensure enough regularity through the interface between the two models1. The correct approach consisting in a full coupling is more difficult and expensive than the two-way nesting, since it requires to find and implement an algorithm ensuring that the solutions in each domain satisfy the regularity conditions through the interface. The global-in-time non-overlapping Schwarz algorithm is particularly well suited for such a coupling, and can lead to improved physical results. Our work thus aims at improving the ocean coupling by determining efficient interface conditions for the usual ocean equations (the so-called 3-D primitive equations). These ones are composed of advection-diffusion equations for tracers such as temperature and salinity, and dynamics equations, which can be approximated in the 2-D case by the shallow-water equations.
