The article presents an essay titled "A nuclear education campaign," on how to eliminate the threat of nuclear war. The authors state that the common person is misinformed and ignorant about the threat of nuclear war, and the nuclear elite, a few hundred people who control the nuclear weapons, propagate nuclear weapons as being important for freedom. They suggest an education campaign that emphasizes human dimension in a nuclear war, comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches, and an effort to understand all aspects of nuclear disarmament and rearmament. They think that the educational institutes can start the education campaign by developing curricular material showing the negative effects of a nuclear war. The benefits of a nuclear war campaign are also discussed.
