The increased volume of construction works, which includes the construction of new residential and business buildings, hotels, garages, shopping centers, and similar, is increasingly common in urban areas. Such works are increasingly coming into contact with different types of problems during construction, as one of these problems we single out the appearance of solid rock mass during excavation at the construction sites of future buildings foreseen in the construction project. During the construction of facilities or part of the building, which includes the underground premises of a building, it is necessary to excavate the material on site, however, due to its physical and mechanical characteristics, it is not always possible to excavate this material with conventional machinery. The composition of the material that is removed is sometimes in the form of solid rock, and thus its excavation is more complicated, so other methods must be used: controlled blasting, application of expansive mortars, etc. This paper presents some of the possibilities of removing solid rock material for the purpose of smooth construction of buildings.

Introduction/Objective. The aim of the study was to test the accuracy of Belgrade Age Formula (BAF) for dental age estimation on the sample of Montenegrin children. Methods. The radiographs of 134 Montenegrin children (67 females and 67 males) saved as “jpeg” files were analyzed with Image J software. Sex, the number of teeth with complete development, apex width and tooth length of the mandibular canine and second molar were used in order to calculate dental age with the BAF formula. Results. The discrepancy between estimated dental age and chronological age was -0.088 ± 0.64 years; the absolute difference was 0.52 ± 0.39 years. The percentage of participants whose estimated dental age differed six months from their chronological age was 61.2 and 53.7 for females and males, respectively, while the percentage of participants whose estimated dental age differed 12 months from their chronological age was 94 and 83.6 for females and males, respectively. Conclusion. The BAF may be an accurate approach for estimating dental age in Montenegrin children aged 10–12 years with uncompleted tooth development. However, BAF has to be evaluated on a larger sample of Montenegrin infants in future studies.

Introduction/Objective. Class III malocclusion is caused by changes in skeletal and/or dentoalveolar structures with a typical mesial relationship of posterior teeth. The “Y” appliance and the appliance with screw according to Bertoni can be used in treating Class III malocclusion caused by maxillary retrognathism in the period of mixed dentition. The aim of the study was to determine and compare changes on skeletal and dentoalveolar structures in patients with Class III malocclusion treated with the Y appliance and the appliance with screw according to Bertoni. Methods. Forty patients with Class III malocclusion were included in this study. The sample was divided into two groups, with 20 patients in each group. The including criteria were maxillary retrognathism, the period of mixed dentition, and pubertal growth. The excluding criteria were mandibular prognathism, patients with genetical predisposition for skeletal Class III malocclusion, patients with cleft lip and palate or craniofacial syndrome, and the period of permanent dentition. The appliances which caused most changes on the maxilla were used in this study because all patients had a deficiency of maxillary growth. Anamnesis, clinical and functional testing, study casts analysis, analysis of orthopantomograms, lateral cephalograms, extraoral and intraoral photos were done for each patient. Therapeutic effects were analyzed on study casts and lateral cephalograms after this phase of orthodontic treatment. Results. The main dentoalveolar effect was protrusion of the upper incisors. Skeletal effects were not significant. Conclusion. The Y appliance and the appliance with screw according to Bertoni caused greater changes on dentoalveolar structures compared to skeletal changes.

Background and Objectives: The key factor that enables osteoblastic activity and the formation of new bone, as well as gingiva, during orthodontic tooth extrusion (OE) is the periodontal ligament. The reaction of periodontal tissues associated with changes in the gingiva is a part of orthodontic tooth displacement. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of OE on the width of the zone of the keratinized and attached gingiva, the position of the mucogingival junction, and the height of the interdental papillae in the region where the OE was performed as well as in the adjacent region. Materials and Methods: This research included 28 adult patients (both orthodontically treated and untreated). The treated group included 15 patients, in whom orthodontic extrusion of the upper or lower frontal teeth was indicated and performed. The untreated group included 13 patients, with no previous or undergoing orthodontic treatment. Patients with periodontal disease and periodontal pockets in the frontal region and patients allergic to iodine were excluded from the study. Gingivomorphometric measurements were performed on two occasions in three groups of teeth (24 extruded and 30 agonist teeth in the treated patients; 66 teeth in the untreated patients). Statistical analysis of the obtained data was performed using the software package SPSS version 26.0. Results: Orthodontic extrusion induced changes in the position of the mucogingival line and an increase in the width of the keratinized gingiva. There were no statistically significant effects on the depth of the gingival sulcus, the attached gingiva width, or the height of the interdental papillae. Conclusions: Orthodontic tooth extrusion has an effect on the periodontium in the observed region. Vertical orthodontic force, directed towards the coronal plane, affects the surrounding soft oral tissues. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nowadays, software is increasingly used in mining through the exploitation of mineral raw materials, mine design, in performing various field operations, etc. Among mining software, there is software for specific mining operations such as drilling and blasting operations. These processes are very important in the exploitation of solid mineral raw materials because they represent the cheapest and most effective form of rock mass fragmentation. Through the Paper, some of software is presented in the combination with modern technologies that are in use all over the world which have brought great advantages in drilling and blasting operations.

The research presented in this paper aimed to determine the effects of using circuit training as a teaching method in physical education. The sample consisted of 95 students (age 7.7±0.7 years), divided into two groups. Circuit training was used in physical education classes with the experimental group (N=49) over the course of eight weeks, while the control group (N=46) had physical education classes according to the regular P.E. program. All the subjects in the study were given four motor skills tests to assess their speed, coordination, explosive strength and repetitive strength. Multivariate analysis of covariance showed that at the end of the study, subjects in the experimental group performed significantly better than subjects in the control group, while the paired sample T-test found the effects of the procedure to be statistically significant (p=0,00). The study highlights the importance of using circuit training as an organizational form of instruction in physical education to improve the motor skills of school children.
