Abstract

This volume constitutes the revised selected papers from the four workshops collocated with the 20th International Conference on Software Engineering and Formal Methods, SEFM 2022, held in Berlin, Germany, in September 2022. The 19 full papers presented together with 9 short papers in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 39 submissions. 6. An innovative 3D color barcode

Abstract

The increasing popularity and diffusion of mobile devices has led to a substantial increase in the use of barcode technologies. Marketing and advertising is one of their main application fields these days. However, the nowadays-common barcodes were developed for use in the logistic sector as their target market. This focus can be seen in design and security mechanisms. An approach for a new color barcode in arbitrary shape is presented in the following paper. The innovative procedure satisfies new demands on design and security. With its adaptation of color and shape to a template image and thereby its integration into the image, the code allows an intuitive and realistic visualization of digital data. The fusion of coding and design makes the data almost equally interpretable for user and device.
