Background - School bullying is a major public health issue that has multiple consequences for the child victim. After interviewing the children and the doctors, we thought it would be wise to consider the parents’ point of view in order to better understand all the challenges involved in the medical care of this nuisance by the general practitioner. Methods - Between June 2019 and January 2020, 11 parents of children who were victims of school bullying were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. The approach was qualitative using analysis by grounded theory. Results - Three themes emerged from the analysis: the clinic of school bullying, the obstacle in the care and the parents' expectations toward the general practitioner. The interviewed participants appreciated the relationship established with their general practitioner and felt that the general practitioner had a real role in dealing with school bullying towards them and their children: in prevention, screening and then in therapeutic management. They expected therapeutic listening and the creation of a network around the child victim. The opinions of the interviewed parents were complementary to those of child victims and doctors interviewed in previous studies. Conclusion - Parents had real expectations of their general practitioner regarding the medical care of school bullying. These expectations were in line with the skills of a general practitioner.; Contexte - Le harcèlement scolaire est un enjeu majeur de santé publique avec des conséquences multiples chez l’enfant qui en est victime. Après avoir interrogé les enfants et les médecins, il nous a paru judicieux de nous intéresser au point de vue des parents afin de mieux comprendre tous les enjeux de la prise en charge de ce fléau par le médecin traitant. Méthode - Entre juin 2019 et janvier 2020, 11 parents d’enfants victimes de harcèlement scolaire ont été interrogés à l'aide d'entretiens semi-dirigés. La démarche était qualitative utilisant l’analyse par théorisation ancrée. Résultats - Trois thèmes sont ressortis de l’analyse : la clinique du harcèlement scolaire, les obstacles à la prise en charge et les attentes des parents vis-à-vis du médecin traitant. Les participants interrogés appréciaient la relation établie avec leur médecin traitant. Ils ressentaient que le médecin avait un vrai rôle à jouer dans la prise en charge du harcèlement scolaire auprès d’eux et de leur enfant victime : en prévention, en prise en charge diagnostique puis thérapeutique. Ils attendaient du médecin traitant, une écoute thérapeutique et la création d’un réseau autour de l’enfant victime. L’avis des parents interrogés était complémentaire à celui des enfants victimes et des médecins interrogés dans des études précédentes. Conclusion - Les parents avaient de réelles attentes vis-à-vis de leur médecin traitant concernant la prise en charge du harcèlement scolaire. Ces attentes étaient en adéquation avec les compétences du médecin traitant.
