Primerjava demografskih značilnost migrantov, ki migrirajo iz mesta Maribor in njegove okolice v tujino, je bil namen te diplomske naloge. Demografske značilnosti, ki so bile primerjane so spol, starost in izobrazba. Med seboj so bile primerjane osebe, ki migrirajo vsakodnevno, tedensko ali sezonsko v tujino. Vzrok za njihove migracije je izključno zaposlitev. V prvi polovici naloge, ki je bila zastavljena kot empirično diplomsko delo, je bila temeljito preučena literatura in dosedanja spoznanja o izbrani temi. V drugem delu pa so na osnovi empirično zbranih in obdelanih anketnih podatkov bile nekatere raziskovalne hipoteze potrjene, druge pa ovržene. Največje razlike so bile ugotovljene v starostni in spolni strukturi med dnevnimi migranti na eni in sezonskimi migranti na drugi strani. Nekatere razlike so se pokazale tudi v izobrazbeni strukturi, ki pa niso bile tako velike. Primerjava tedenskih migrantov z dnevnimi in sezonskimi, je pokazala, da imajo tedenski več podobnih značilnosti z dnevnimi kot pa s sezonskimi migranti. A comparison of demographic characteristics of migrants, who migrate from the city of Maribor and its surroundings abroad, was the theme of this graduation thesis. The demographic characteristics compared were gender, age and education. Compared were the people who migrate abroad daily, weekly or seasonally and the employment being the sole reason for their migration. In the first half of the paper, which was formed as an empirical graduation thesis, the literature and the findings so far about the selected topic, were thoroughly studied. The second part was based on empirically collected and processed survey data, resulting in some research hypotheses being confirmed and some refuted. The greatest differences were found in age and gender structure of daily migrants on one side and seasonal migrants on the other. There were some differences in the educational structure, but these were not significant. The comparison of daily and seasonal migrants showed that the weekly migrants have more similar characteristics to daily rather than seasonal migrants.
