Os procedimentos cirúrgicos para correção de hérnia têm aumentado em todo Brasil. Afim não somente da correção da protusão mas da melhor condição de vida da população acometida pela patologia. O seguinte estudo teve o objetivo de avaliar o perfil sociodemográfico e localização espacial das incidências do procedimento cirúrgico de herniorrafia abdominal, sendo elas, exclusivamente, de procedimentos realizados em região umbilical e inguinal no Estado do Paraná e a procura em suas 399 cidades. Os dados foram coletados no DATASUS utilizando o Sistema de Informações Hospitalares (SIH-RD), com os CID’S: K40.0 e K42.0 e analisados posteriormente em gráficos e tabelas com as variáveis principais evidenciando sexo, idade, óbitos e números totais dos procedimentos. Para a análise espacial evidenciou-se as cidades com maior e menor procura pelo procedimento de herniorrafia segundo município de residência. Sendo a herniorrafia um procedimento com grande procura no estado do Paraná com grande predominância no sexo masculino, ainda temos o empasse de que temos poucas cidades as quais fazem a operação ocorrendo o deslocamento de pacientes para a cidade de referência mais próxima nos mostrando o déficit de acessibilidade em que o Estado do Paraná se encontra com o procedimento.

A população de pessoas idosas no Brasil vem aumentando gradativamente e com esse aumento a vulnerabilidade se torna mais visível. Os traumatismos por quedas são acidentes evitáveis que vem sendo notificado com frequência e o mesmo devido a suas consequências podem levar a óbito nessa população. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a taxa de mortalidade por quedas em pessoas idosas no Brasil nos anos de 2015 a 2019, traçando seu perfil epidemiológico. Trata-se de um estudo ecológico, descritivo e retrospectivo realizado com dados da plataforma do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), analisando as variáveis de sexo, faixa etária, etnia, ano, estados brasileiros e o número de óbitos. Foi observado diante da análise espacial que há uma predominância de óbitos por quedas de pessoas idosas, em três estados brasileiros sendo o estado de Roraima (RR), Tocantins (TO) e Espírito Santo (ES), sendo de sua maioria do sexo feminino, Roraima e Tocantins pertencem a região Norte que prevalece os óbitos por quedas de mulheres de etnia parda com 80 anos ou mais. Já Espírito Santo pertence a região Sudeste o qual obtém mais óbitos por quedas de mulheres de etnia branca com 80 anos ou mais. Foi identificado esses estados que possuem altas taxas de óbitos por quedas em pessoas idosas, sendo um instrumento para avaliar as fragilidades ainda encontradas referente a acessibilidade para essa população, política públicas voltadas para qualidade de vida do idoso, a promoção da comunidade amiga do idoso, podendo ser reabordado futuramente questões políticas em relação a qualidade de vida.

A aplicação da pesquisa científica na prática profissional é uma necessidade observada pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - Capes, que em 1998, institui o Mestrado Profissional – MP para atender essa demanda. Na Saúde, o Mestrado Profissional em Saúde Coletiva – MPSC propõe aplicar a pesquisa no Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS. Foi realizada uma análise documental das disertações dos egressos do MPSC da Universidade Federal de Goiás – UFG, com objetivo de caracterizá-las. A análise resultou em três categorias: estrutura, temática e aplicabilidade. Foi possível identificar a aplicabilidade das pesquisas, ao SUS, em 89% dos estudos analisados. Conclui-se que as dissertações dos egressos do MPSC-UFG demonstraram aplicabilidade na prática, com retorno social do MSPC para o SUS.

Little is known about the interaction between the inoculation of diazotrophic bacteria, the variety, and the substrate used in inoculated sugarcane seedling production. Bearing this in mind, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of diazotrophic bacteria inoculation, four sugarcane varieties and four different substrates on the growth and nitrogen accumulation of sugarcane seedlings. Parameters related to sprouting, height, and root growth, as well as nitrogen accumulation, were evaluated. The results indicate that inoculating sugarcane seedlings belonging to the following varieties: RB867515, RB92579, RB966928 and RB975932 with bacteria may increase sprouting speed index, height, root length, fresh and dry matter weight, as well as nitrogen accumulation, which has resulted in a more uniform stem diameter. However, the responses to inoculation differ from variety to variety and are also dependent on the substrate used with better results observed in the commercial substrate and the substrate mixtures containing a higher proportion of organic compost. Understanding the interaction between the variety and the substrate with the bacterial inoculation is essential to the success of the production of inoculated sugarcane seedlings. Introduction. This paper presente the results of a study with female nurses graduating from a professional master's degree course in Family Health Nursing in Portugal. Objective. The aim of this research was to analyze the contribution of the course in the professional practice of nurses in primary and hospital health services. Methods. A questionnaire and interviews were used with ten nurses working in health care services in Portugal. Bardin's Content Analysis method was used through categorical analysis, with the help of the WebQDA software to organize and coding the data from the narratives. Results and discussion. Based on the three categories analysed, namely: i) master's contributions to health services; ii) misunderstandings of the professional master's degree and iii) master's degree as a space for knowledge, limits and possibilities are discussed of the professional master's degree, highlighting the relevance of the evaluation of processes for institutional development. Thus, both in the interview and in the questionnaire, it was possible to identify the master's degree as a space for knowledge, not only for the acquisition of knowledge, but to make transformations in the working spaces of the graduates. Conclusions. Although the satisfaction of the graduates with the course was evidenced, the study identified difficulties in the narratives in terms of support for the development of the research without the need of a dispensation of time in the services. It was evident the knowledge acquired in the course, related to their application and the change in professional and personal performance, in terms of theoretical knowledge, technical skills of these graduates in the workplace.

A cultura do morangueiro e economicamente importante porque seus frutos sao amplamente consumidos in natura, em formas nao processadas e processadas, por uma variedade de industrias. Atualmente o cultivo semi-hidroponico desta cultura vem ganhando espaco em relacao ao cultivo no solo, o que torna importante a identificacao atraves de estudos de diferentes sistemas, locais de cultivo, bem como, o uso de diferentes substratos. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a resposta agronomica da cultivar de morangueiro Camarosa em sistema fora do solo com a utilizacao de substratos alternativos, em diferentes densidades. O experimento foi realizado em Pelotas - RS, na localidade de Monte Bonito (31°39’44’’S, 52°27’29’’O a 52,46 m de altitude). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi completamente casualizado em esquema de parcelas subdivididas, com tres repeticoes. Nas parcelas principais alocaram-se tres substratos compostos por casca de arroz carbonizada, composto orgânico e torta de tungue, e nas subparcelas, foram alocadas as densidades de plantio de 9, 10, 12, 16 e 20 plantas m -2 . Foram avaliados o crescimento vegetativo e a producao de frutas da cultivar Camarosa. Pode-se concluir que adicao de composto orgânico e torta de tungue a casca de arroz carbonizada favorece o desenvolvimento das plantas, a producao e o tamanho de frutos de morangueiro no sistema semi-hidroponico adotado. A densidade de 20 plantas m -2 confere maior produtividade para a cultivar Camarosa.

Aim To develop a systematic review protocol on the prevalence and/or the incidence of pressure ulcers/injuries in adult patients in emergency services. Materials and methods This protocol was developed according to the Preferred Reporting Items Form Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols (PRISMA-P) and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology for systematic reviews of prevalence and incidence studies. The inclusion criteria will be based on the CoCoPop mnemonic. The main variables of interest will be the “prevalence” and/or the “incidence” of “pressure ulcers/injuries” (Condition) reported in studies developed in emergency services (Context), with participants aged 18 or more (Population). This Systematic Review Protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CDR42021252906). Results If meta-analysis is not possible, the syntheses of quantitative data will be presented in a narrative form to address the scope and objectives of this systematic review. Tables, graphs and/or figures will be designed to present the results of the prevalence and the incidence of pressure ulcers/injuries, their body locations and the respective categories/stages. The Systematic Review is currently ongoing. Conclusions Prevalence and incidence systematic reviews are an emerging methodology in the field of evidence synthesis. We believe that the systematic review on prevalence and incidence of pressure ulcers/injuries in emergency services can provide useful information for healthcare professionals and policy makers about the dimension of this problem in a specific context. The standardized approach outlined in this systematic review protocol offers a rigorous and transparent method to conduct the review.

Background: No other disease has killed more than ischemic heart disease (IHD) for the past few years globally. Despite the advances in cardiology, the response time for starting treatment still leads patients to death because of the lack of healthcare coverage and access to referral centers.Objectives: To analyze the spatial disparities related to IHD mortality in the Parana state, Brazil.Methods: An ecological study using secondary data from Brazilian Health Informatics Department between 2013–2017 was performed to verify the IHD mortality. An spatial analysis was performed using the Global Moran and Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA) to verify the spatial dependency of IHD mortality. Lastly, multivariate spatial regression models were also developed using Ordinary Least Squares and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) to identify socioeconomic indicators (aging, income, and illiteracy rates), exam coverage (catheterization, angioplasty, and revascularization rates), and access to health (access index to cardiologists and chemical reperfusion centers) significantly correlated with IHD mortality. The chosen model was based on p < 0.05, highest adjusted R² and lowest Akaike Information Criterion.Results: A total of 22,920 individuals died from IHD between 2013–2017. The spatial analysis confirmed a positive spatial autocorrelation global between IDH mortality rates (Moran’s I: 0.633, p < 0.01). The LISA analysis identified six high-high pattern clusters composed by 66 municipalities (16.5%). GWR presented the best model (Adjusted R²: 0.72) showing that accessibility to cardiologists and chemical reperfusion centers, and revascularization and angioplasty rates differentially affect the IHD mortality rates geographically. Aging and illiteracy rate presented positive correlation with IHD mortality rate, while income ratio presented negative correlation (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Regions of vulnerability were unveiled by the spatial analysis where sociodemographic, exam coverage and accessibility to health variables impacted differently the IHD mortality rates in Paraná state, Brazil.HighlightsThe increase in ischemic heart disease mortality rates is related to geographical disparities.The IHD mortality is differentially associated to socioeconomic factors, exam coverage, and access to health.Higher accessibility to chemical reperfusion centers did not necessarily improve patient outcomes in some regions of the state.Clusters of high mortality rate are placed in regions with low amount of cardiologists, income and schooling.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of instructions promoting an external versus internal focus of attention on the learning of a specific balance task, the pirouette en dehors (from fourth position), in 10-year-old novice ballet students. In addition, we sought to gain insight into learners' motivation and subjective learning experience as a function of different focus conditions. Thirty-eight children were randomly assigned to one of two groups. In the external focus (EF) group, participants were asked to focus on a spotting point on the wall in front of them for as long as possible. In the internal focus (IF) group, participants were asked to focus on the initial position of their head relative to the wall in front of them and on keeping it in that position for as long as possible. The task goal was to rotate as far as possible, and the dependent variable was the number of degrees rotated. All participants performed 15 practice trials of a (right) pirouette. Two days later, participants completed retention and transfer (left pirouette) tests without attentional focus reminders. After the practice phase, participants were asked what they thought about while practicing the pirouette and completed self-rating scales related to their perceived competence, effort, and sense of the importance of doing well. The EF group demonstrated superior performance relative to the IF group during practice, retention, and transfer phases. In addition, EF participants' responses indicated higher perceived competence and greater satisfaction with their performance, as well as greater importance of performing well. In contrast, IF participants reported more nervousness and fear of losing balance and not doing well. Overall, the findings demonstrate that external relative to internal focus instructions enhanced the students' learning of the pirouette en dehors and had positive motivational consequences.

A presente pesquisa objetiva investigar as interfaces da produção científica acadêmica do subprojeto do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) da Escola Superior de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (ESEF/UFPEL). Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, que utilizou da análise de conteúdo da produção científica a partir do Congresso de Iniciação Científica (CIC/UFPEL) no período de 2013 a 2015. A partir dos achados foram extraídas duas categorias, a primeira com relação à formação inicial; e a segunda discutiu o impacto do PIBID na escola. Os resultados apontaram que as experiências de pesquisa, acenam para uma construção diferenciada no espaço da formação inicial, estágio e prática docente, revelando a complexidade da formação inicial; a segunda categoria revelou os impactos gerados pelo PIBID no contexto escolar oportunizando refletir e repensar a inovação e alternativas para o ambiente escolar.

Objective: to present the experience of an intervention performed with hypertensive and diabetic patients, following the parameters of the Methodology of the Arch of Charles Maguerez. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive study, a type of experience report, about a health intervention performed by nursing students and health professionals in a Basic Health Unit. The activity on non-adherence of users to the HiperDia program and, as methodology, Charles Maguerez's Problematization with Arch was followed. Results: the non-adherence of hypertensive and diabetic patients to HiperDia's consultations was identified and, with the aid of the steps of Charles Maguerez Arch, a health intervention was carried out, where the participants were offered Nursing consultations with: blood pressure, blood glucose test and weight. After the consultation, a nutritious snack is distributed, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet, as well as stimulating the regular practice of physical activity in a correct way, making this process essential for the control and treatment of diseases. Conclusion: a positive and satisfactory result was obtained and, therefore, it is understood that the accomplishment of health actions like this makes a total difference in the health-disease process. RESUMO Objetivo : apresentar a experiencia de uma intervencao realizada com pacientes hipertensos e diabeticos, seguindo os parâmetros da Metodologia do Arco de Charles Maguerez. Metodo : trata-se estudo qualitativo, descritivo, tipo relato de experiencia, sobre uma intervencao em saude realizada por academicos de Enfermagem e profissionais da saude em uma Unidade Basica de Saude. Referiu-se a atividade sobre a nao adesao dos usuarios ao programa HiperDia e, como metodologia, foi seguida a Problematizacao com Arco, de Charles Maguerez. Resultados : identificou-se a nao adesao dos pacientes hipertensos e diabeticos as consultas de HiperDia e, com o auxilio das etapas Arco de Charles Maguerez, realizou-se uma intervencao em saude onde foram ofertadas, aos participantes, consultas de Enfermagem com: verificacao da pressao arterial, teste de glicemia e peso. Distribui-se, apos a consulta, um lanche nutritivo, ressaltando a importância de uma alimentacao saudavel, bem como estimulando a pratica regular de atividade fisica de forma correta, tornando esse processo essencial para o controle e tratamento das doencas. Conclusao : obteve-se um resultado positivo e satisfatorio e, dessa forma, compreende-se que a realizacao de acoes em saude como essa faz total diferenca no processo saude-doenca. Resultados: se identifico la no adhesion de los pacientes hipertensos y diabeticos a las consultas de HiperDia y, con el auxilio de las etapas Arco de Charles Maguerez, se realizo una intervencion en salud donde se ofrecieron a los participantes consultas de Enfermeria con: verificacion de la presion arterial, prueba de glucemia y peso. Se distribuye, despues de la consulta, una merienda nutritiva, resaltando la importancia de una alimentacion sana, asi como estimulando la practica regular de actividad fisica de forma correcta, haciendo este proceso esencial para el control y tratamiento de las enfermedades. Conclusion: se obtuvo un resultado positivo y satisfactorio y, de esa forma, se comprende que la realizacion de acciones en salud como esa hace total diferencia en el proceso salud-enfermedad. A asma brônquica é uma doença crônica das vias aéreas, heterogênea e etiologia desconhecida. No Brasil, a asma brônquica descompensada é a quarta maior causa de internações, com maior incidência nas regiões Nordeste e Sudeste, apresentando índices de mortalidade descendentes. Os sintomas e sinais mais comuns são dispneia, sibilos, opressão torácica retroesternal e tosse, decorrentes do processo inflamatório, com hiperreatividade brônquica e broncoconstrição. O presente artigo objetiva alertar os profissionais de saúde sobre o diagnóstico precoce e tratamento da asma exacerbada em emergência no contexto pandêmico da COVID-19, através deste relato de caso. Tratando também do diagnóstico diferencial em sintomáticos respiratórios para COVID-19 com avaliação de riscos epidemiológicos e radiografia, pouco sensíveis e específicos para COVID-19, mas amplamente disponíveis. Este relato de caso trata-se de uma mulher de 19 anos, caucasiana, solteira, natural e procedente de Caruaru-PE, com queixas de desconforto torácico de baixa intensidade, dispneia e fadiga há três dias, apresentando exacerbação dos sintomas nas últimas quatro horas, com diagnóstico prévio de asma desde a infância, atualmente com tratamento interrompido por medo de agravamento para a COVID-19 e despertar noturno todos os dias durante o último mês. Após conduta terapêutica e melhora clínica, a paciente obteve alta com orientações sobre continuidade do corticoide oral, retorno à terapia de controle da asma brônquica, necessidade do acompanhamento na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) e sintomas de gravidade para a asma brônquica e COVID-19 que indicam a necessidade de atendimento emergencial.

Recent advances in the sucroenergy production chain include a new way of planting sugarcane based on a method of seedling propagation which requires a significant amount of substrate. Since the sucroenergy sector has been noted as having cleaner energy production, it is imperative that sustainable substrates suitable for the production of sugarcane seedlings be developed. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to develop innovative substrates with solar-dried sewage sludges and rice husk ash to compose substrates for sugarcane seedling production. Batches of sewage sludges were collected in open drying beds from three different municipal wastewater treatment plants from the Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil: from Passo Fundo city (treated by anaerobic digestion), from Rio Grande city (aerobic digestion) and from Santa Maria city (aerobic digestion). Rice husk ash was obtained from a rice processing industry in the Pelotas industrial region in southern Brazil. The content of trace elements and the pathogenicity of pure sewage sludge (SS) were analyzed. The nutrient content of SS and rice husk ash (RHA) was determined. Twelve substrates with differing ratios of SS, RHA, and vermiculite were formulated to evaluate the subsequent development of sugarcane seedlings. Chemical and physical attributes were determined in all substrates and compared to a commercial substrate. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse using mini-setts of sugarcane of the RB867515 genotype. Fifteen days after planting the seedlings were evaluated for stalk diameter, shoot height, shoot dry weight and root, and the Dickson quality index was determined. Sewage sludge showed low levels of heavy metals and pathogenic organisms and high contents of nutrients, especially nitrogen, phosphorus and micronutrients such as Zn and Cu, showing promising suitability as a substrate component for seedling production. In general, substrates of all tested proportions of SS and RHA promoted greater shoot and root dry weight and a superior Dickson Quality Index than the commercial substrate used as reference, except for the formulation containing 87.5 % SS. The viability of combining sludges from municipal wastewater treatment plants and rice husk ash into one product was confirmed using a set of biometric attributes and nutrient tissue contents obtained from the production of sugarcane seedlings.

This study aimed to evaluate and compare the development of hospitalized children before and after art therapy interventions. Qualitative case studies were undertaken in this descriptive-exploratory research, based on the developmental evaluation of the children. The study participants were five children between seven and ten years old, in the Hospital of Tropical Illnesses (HDT) in the city of Goiânia, state of Goiás, Brazil, in 2006. Results showed that art therapy interventions efficiently promoted children's development. Art therapy is a resource for positively channeling the variables of hospitalized children's development and for neutralizing affective factors that naturally appear, as well as for exposing the child's healthier potentials, which sometimes receive little stimulus in the context of hospitalization.

O presente estudo teve como objetivos avaliar e comparar o desenvolvimento de crianças hospitalizadas, antes e após intervenções de Arteterapia. Esta pesquisa descritiva-exploratória realizou-se por meio de estudos de caso de fundo qualitativo, baseados na avaliação desenvolvimental de crianças. A pesquisa contou com cinco participantes na faixa etária entre sete e dez anos, no Hospital de Doenças Tropicais (HDT) de Goiânia, Goiás, em 2006. Seus resultados mostraram que as intervenções de Arteterapia foram eficazes na promoção do desenvolvimento infantil. Concluiu-se, então, que a Arteterapia constitui-se num meio para canalizar, de maneira positiva, as variáveis do desenvolvimento da criança hospitalizada e neutralizar os fatores de ordem afetiva que, naturalmente, surgem, além de expor os potenciais mais saudáveis da criança, por vezes pouco estimulados no contexto da hospitalização.
